In other reviews you are going to read griping about lack of blazing speed etc.........dude, the millisecond differences people are whining about are nothing. I would take this PNY Solid State Drives any day over your basic Samsung. These are small, fast, reliable (have installed about 20 of these) and trouble free. Sure, when a client wants a Samsung, I comply......but these are all over them in the cost to size and cost-benefit ratio....and they feel and look better, to me!

If you have an older laptop you think is ready for the junk heap, pick up one of these PNY - 120GB Internal SATA Solid State Drives (SSD) and use the included software to migrate the contents of your old drive to this new one. BOOM! It's like getting a (nearly) new laptop for a fraction of the price and a little effort. Once you've worked with an SSD, you'll realize your current computer equipment has a lot of life left. Highly recommended.

An ssd that works fast and as advertised,very easy to set up too!

My old laptop now boots in under 10 seconds after moving to this hard drive. Much better! I got this 120GB SSD drive for $20, so it was a good deal for me. It feels like a cheap piece of plastic, because the other hard drive was metal and had more weight. But it outperforms my old one by far. It is an internal drive, so you have to know a little bit more than "just plug it in" but it worked great for what I wanted.

Had an SFF PC that needed a new SSD asap. I could not deal with the slow loading times of Windows 10 even on a 7200 rpm hard drive. Pop this guy and its boots up faster than my gaming pc on a SSD as well.

Cheap and reliable ive had these in the past and they held up well.

Installed in Compaq Presario CQ57-WMM laptop. Like a brand new computer now. From off to completely on to desktop now in 15 seconds. Like night and day from before. I copied all my files to an external drive, so I didn't clone anything. Simple install - pull out old drive, put adapter from old drive on this one, and plug in - no connector or adapter needed. Truly plug and play!

I’ve used PNY in the past for SSDs and even a GPU, and I’ve never had an issue with them. For their SSDs, the size is always as advertised and the speeds are great. While these are not the worlds best, they are far from the worlds worst. I would certainly recommend this when on a budget.

Does what its supposed to do. Using as a OS boot drive and its fast. Price is good as well.

I bought this to replace a failed 128 gb ssd in a desktop PC. I tried first to do a clone copying with a third party software (not the included one). There was some error which may be attributed to the failed ssd or the software. I decided to have a clean copy of windows 10. It was installed without any problem and the machine is responding very smoothly after the installation. The ssd, while it is cheaper than most, is performing admirably.

I picked up 2 of these, one for my wifes aging Asus netbook and one for my sons brand new HP budget laptop for school. Both laptops had bigger drives in them, but not much actually being used, so the size downgrade was doable. The netbook was almost unusable using Win10. She just wants to plan grocery trips and check email and couldn't even do that in less than a 5 minute bootup. The SSD, with a fresh Win10 install, she is up and running in seconds. For the HP, I cloned that one over and the teen who has no patience for prolonged bootups and background processes is now actually using the laptop instead of crying about wanting to use my desktop because his was too slow! Seriously, the joke about Windows users that do the upgrade sitting there restarting the computer all day is true. You restart it over and over because you cannot believe how fast it is actually booting!

excellent option to upgrade any pc from old traditional drives to a super fast solid state drive. the speed difference is day and night, and this drive is very affordable. definitely a plus if you want to keep using your old system without spending lots of money.
