I used on my Samsung i3 np300 And works faster than ever. If your pc is older than three years, but a SSD drive and reinstall fresh boot of win10 and wittiness the speed

I picked this up while it was on sale for $18 and ended up not actually having an immediate use for it, lol. but i ended up deciding to toss it in my mac pro as the boot drive (2008 mac pro) and it really breathed new life into it. vs the old mechanical drive which is now just for storage. ended up buying 2 more afterwords for my laptop and other desktop.

Great SSD for laptop HDD replacement

This will give your sluggish laptop a new lease on life. 120GB might appear small, but if you store stuff on back-up drives, 120GB will do fine on the laptop. Win10 takes about 20GB which leaves plenty of space for other programs and files. The speed boost for start up and program loading on an older laptop is just a amazing. Make this your main drive and use the old HDD as on of your back-up drives.

I swapped a hard drive in a laptop for this SSD and noticed immediately how much snappier the computer was. Windows booted much faster and everything opened quicker. I would definitely recommend using this as a low cost boot drive in desktop PCs or to give life to older laptops like I did.

Simple plug and play. Replaced a SATA HDD with this SSD and upgraded from Win7 to Ubuntu Linux. HP Pavillion DV7 i7 machine with 4GB ram. The machine has new life! Use it now as an extra monitor for streaming movies and TV (Hulu) with no problems. Boots fast, runs with low resource usage. Works well for email as well.

The poor man's SSD, and worth every penny

Yeah, it's one of the slower SSDs on the market. Yeah, it's nothing compared to a big expensive PCI Express SSD. Yeah, it's a little small. Guess what? It's still light years beyond the speed of all mechanical hard drives and if you don't need high capacity and can afford "really fast but not quite lightning fast" performance, this is fine.

Replaced an old 5400rpm laptop hard drive with this. It does what it was supposed to do and speed up the computer. Around average price $59

Clean install of Windows was done to ensure I wasn’t moving any slowness or bloat from old hard drive and any old Windows settings. That’s more common than people think, even if you don’t have any viruses. Can’t say anything about the longevity of this hard drive but I’ve been using it in an older laptop that was starting to CREEP between Windows updates and an old processor. Solid state drive has it booting in 5 seconds. My only complaint is they no longer include the data migration software from Acronis… not that I needed it this time but would be useful for that to still be honored incase it was needed by someone but they must have stopped giving licenses to PNY or cancelled their agreement. No big deal, the value here was still well worth it. It stopped me from buying a $700 laptop new as the boot times are now the same or very similar

It’s a great price for size and I’ll I use it for is to boot windows and have a couple of games on. Before with my HHD a WD 2TB it would take about 2 mins to load up including all my programs in background but now it takes about 10 seconds. Not a pro user or know how speeds compare to others but it was a excellent purchase

I lost my hard drive in Latitude E5510. To buy such computer even used would be at least $100, and yet hard drive would be old and the least reliable part. I got less memory for $30 but with my non-professional usage it is more than enough. I suspect that now my computer will last (almost) forever. It took me 10 minutes to replace.

I installed this SSD in an old (2007) HP 6910p business class notebook, replacing an 80 GB mechanical hard drive.
Not only did it improve performance, but I ended up with more drive space as well!
A low cost investment to breathe new life into an old but reliable notebook.

27 bucks out the door (on sale), gets your old student grade computer running as fast or faster as the brand new student grade computers on display today. Insane value. Will always recommend PNY. My last PNY branded SSD is still running in my father's notebook and the SSD is turning 4 years old next month.

The SSD hard drive rund great like it should. I was a little bit skeptical about the PNY brand, because of my little knowledge about that company, but this item serves me well and I am happy from this reasonably priced purchase.

If you are using a computer and it does NOT have a solid state drive to run your operating system, get one. These drives are falling in price lately like crazy and you need one. They make loading and boot times exceptionally faster and there is no reason to deal with mechanical drives at least for your OS.
