    It's a 1TB SSD SATA drive. You can replace any 2.5" SATA drive with this. (You can replace any 3.5" SATA drive too, you'll just need a mounting bracket). It maxes out the 6gb/s SATA transfer speed. Can't ask for more. It didn't come with mounting screws, but I don't think any do, so I won't fault it for that.

    These are good, reliable, basic solid state drives. They're not particularly fast compared to other "pro" models, but they're a perfect upgrade for a standard, platter-based hard drive. I use them for replacement of laptop drives all the time.

    Backup most important files in at least 2 places. DO NOT USE a cheaper ssd brand for valuable data; pay more for higher quality and higher performance ssd drives. Use a cheaper brand for something low priority like STEAM game files.

    I purchased this to store 450GB of 13 years of family photos/home vids on. It was only used 5 times tops. Files transferred onto drive fine. When I went to back-up to HDD, drive failed. Data recovery service diagnosed ssd with a read/write corruption. PNY offered no solution except replacement drive, and wanted me to return the defective drive containing ALL OF MY FAMILY PHOTOS/HOME VIDS. I am now forced to spend between $300 and $1900 for a data recovery service to TRY and get my family photos/vids back. Bottom line, this company has probably cost me all of my family's photo/video memories.
