This was used to replace a 16GB SSD in a ASUS Eee small laptop running Linux, which was not big enough to run Windows 10. Swapping it out was easy and it is working fine compared to the original installed hard drive.

I waited for a month to post a review, as others have said it doesn't take long for it to crash out, but my experience has been largely positive. I did have some issues at the beginning with having the SSD recognize on my 2010 MacBook Pro, but I'm guessing that's more to do with the computer than the drive. I'd definitely buy another if I need to speed up another old computer.

Affordable and seem to work. Hope this will last longer than my last drive.

Good standard SSD drive for normal use. No issues have cropped up.

I thought I would buy a PNY 240GB Internal SSD SATA drive to help keep costs down on a computer I was putting together for myself. I made the mistake of purchasing this SSD and I will never again buy another PNY SSD Just after two weeks, the problems began to appear. I was having problems logging into a webpage on my local server. The computer refused to log in and the browser subsequently crashed. This happened multiple times, even across reboots. Then, I decided to transfer some work files to my machine from the network so I could work on them and sort and document. As the files were transferring, the computer hits the famous BSOD complete with Stop code... STOP_SYSTEM_EXCEPTION. No other processes were running, I wasn't playing music, the network files were not corrupted and the machine did not recognize the SDD. I attempted to reboot to no avail. Did the standard reset (pulled data cable and powered on the machine) and the SDD recognized, immediately. Booted up and was slow as molasses in the middle of January. Machine was acting like it had a standard spindle drive. Did not recover from this state until powered down, left set for 5 minutes and them powered back on. Machine ran like a dream, <15 second boot up time, everything working. Checked thermals to ensure drive was not getting too hot inside machine... there is a fan that blows right over the SDD and mounting bracket. Nope. Attempted transfers again... crashed in middle of them and machine refused to recognize SDD, again.

Replace my old hard drive and it help to boot up really quick.

Quick and easy install, if your looking for just a windows install, not much more room.

It presented a good performance on my i7 with 16Gb. A lot better compared to a 7200 rpm HD.

Way better than 2.5" HDD, you won't go wrong as this drive is so much faster
