This solid state drive is quick and quiet. Replace that old standard laptop hard disc with this and you will never have another head to disc interference problem. No moving parts = dead on reliability. More shock resistant than any standard hard drive means you may never need to replace this one except for a higher capacity SDD.

I have a seven year old Acer Netbook and its standard hard drive was too slow to allow this machine to serve as a mobile unit (something I could call upon quickly when I am out). Replacing the hard drive with this SSD has greatly speeded it up and made it much more useful than it was. The installation was easy and quick.

I use this as a boot drive for my daughter’s gaming PC. It’s a great choice for a budget build for a 10 year old who isn’t going to complain to much about And just wants to play games. You can usually get it on sale for $25 so for that price it’s a great deal.

I've been using these specific PNY SSDs for years now. I've probably gone through 40 of them for various client builds and upgrades. They're cheap as dirt (when on sale), reliable, and are almost always in stock locally. You really can't beat that.

Install this nimble SSD in my plex server, running the operating system. Boot time is literally about 10-15 seconds. Soon I will be swapping out all the media HDs with SSDs. It's going to be amazingly fast and speedy response time in booting and playing media.

I have purchased several PNY drives in the past and so far all are still working well. SSD's really improve system performance when compared to conventional platter drives. Hopefully the PNY drives will be reliable and last a long time.

I bought this to drive breathe new life into an old desktop PC (new enough to have a SATA connector inside). The PC had an old mechanical hard disk and was thrashing all the time because the disk was too small, so the new combination of solid-state and more space made an enormous difference to the performance. This PC is only used for internet browsing and email, and it has a newish monitor, so this upgrade has extended the useful life by many years. Love it. Oh, I forgot to mention, I think this product is designed for laptops, but it works fine in this desktop. I didn't have laptop-sized brackets to bolt down the drive, but I used double-sided tape to attach it to the inside of the cabinet instead and that worked fine. Initially I installed it in parallel (in addition to) the existing hard drive and it worked perfectly on the first attempt. Transferring the operating system and data took much longer, but that was no surprise.

This is the best cheap SSD there is. I purchased two to upgrade my children's laptops from their old HDD's. I just extended the life of those two machines by another 2-3 years at a fraction of the cost of a new computer. This SSD saved me money. Really good deal!

My laptop is now faster and improve my work performance beside is coming with a free version of Acronis backup software.

I was able to swap out my old drive for this replacement with ease. I also noticed the speed of my computer improved.

This SSD is perfect for the basic user. Fast enough for daily tasks and even some light gaming. My CrystalDiskMark tests results were 525 MBPS Read and Write, using a Dell Optiplex 3020, Core i3-4150, so very good speeds for a budget oriented Solid State Hard Drive.

It’s a cheap SSD. Great for sprucing up an old PC. Sure there are way faster drives out there. But they’re not sub $30. Have 3 of these and no problems after several years of use. What do you have to lose?

Easy to install, use and to provide quick "speed" in bootup. PNY performs just as well as higher priced brand options.

If you are in a budget, this SSD will give you enough space (240GB) and OK speed to boost your computer. Old Spinning hard drives are better just to storage information. If you want your computer to boot up in seconds, use this little guy and you will notice the difference. This SSD can be use in laptops (slim or regular width) and also in desktop computers, they both use the same connectors. (sata port and power port)

Replaced a 1TB western digital hard drive in an HP All in One Touch Screen computer with this 240GB SSD. Difference was night and day. The computer runs quicker and quieter. The 1TB Is now used as an external storage device. The upgrade was well worth the price

I was looking for an upgrade/replacement for the standard hard drive in my wife's laptop. I was not looking for a top rated SSD drive which is more money, but for a decent one for a good price. I looked at the reviews and I decided for a PNY. I replaced the hard drive and I am very pleased with the result.

This drive works flawlessly. It was very easy to install and is blazing fast. I installed this in an 9 year old computer and now its faster than my new computer!!?? I got it on sale for the low low:) All I can say is WOW!!

It looks very good. Excellent speed. I am using it for speed up my video editing software as a rendering drive.

I like it way more than a hard drive. I put it in myself and my comupter starts up in 20 seconds from shutdown
