The PNY 240gb SSD is an overall great storage solution. Run’s quick as advertised. You really can’t beat the price! GREAT VALUE!

i bought and install 6 of the for my 4 different client and now after 6 month 2 of the just suddenly dead one after each other for one of my client on 2-different pc. we lost all the data on it. so i am losing my business on this totally awful product.now i have to comeback spend money and replace the rest of them before they dead. the error was "3f0" hard drive is useless now you cannot even format. total dead!

Just installed it today, my computer detects it but it doesn't load or show up as useable. Read some other reviews and they all have severe problems with this SSD. Please don't get this drive despite the cheap price, you'll be gambling whether it works or not with your money. Very cheaply made too... It feels like there's nothing inside the SSD when I held it.

Just made it into 2021 and failed. Installed in August 2019. I replaced my old hard drive because of its age, just plugged that old back and I'm back up and running! All set minus all the data from August of 2019 until last week. Thanks PNY, never again.

The installation of new SSD card took 5 times longer than quoted and had many probleml

The product was good. Did not like the fact that Geek squad replaced original, don't believe it needed to be. the problem was not fixed . there remedy was to turn off the touch screen rather than fix it. changing the drive did nothing to fix it. Just changed drive size.

Crashed after about a month’s use. Didn’t run it hard at all.

It says 240gb but it barely gets up to 219gb which made it impossible to use as a boot drive, if you want it for extra storage then sure go ahead and buy it, but it will not work as a boot drive

This is my second PNY SSD: got a CS1311 for my main laptop (this one that I'm typing on). Was replacing the battery and fan in my son's HP x360, and decided to take the SSD plunge for him while I had the case cracked open. The drive is a featherweight and dropped right into place of a slim HDD (also has an adapter for 9.5mm height I think). The i5 laptop is now much more responsive. Comes with a key for Acronis True Image, but hear me out. If you're using Windows 10 you'll probably get the most benefit from a clean re-install of the OS. It's a little more work to back up your files and restore your software keys, download and install drivers, etc.: but the performance difference is night and day. Most people that don't notice much speed difference going SSD cloned from their old hard drive (especially if you're still on an OEM installation). You can Google a utility from Microsoft to make an installation USB stick. Wish these were not so much more per GB than HDDs, but the performance difference is worth it. My son doesn't use much space, so I was able to buy this about 1/3 the size of the original HDD with plenty of room to spare.

This one was installed in my laptop and died on me. All my data were lost and unrecoverable. I would have given it a zero star rating but only can select one star. The manufacturer replaced it with a new one but I don’t use it, just too risky.

Poor quality and don't buy any items from this company. It lasted less than a week and they won't cover the cost to recover your data files. Buyers beware! Buy at your own risk. If I can give this a -5 review, I will.

Purchase the 11-2017 and drive has already failed. I lost everything added to this drive. Did not have back up set yet. Expected SSD drive to last long enough to purchase backup device before failing. Would not recommend PNY products

Failed after 10 months of very light use. This is the first SSD in 10 years of buying PC parts that I can recall dying so quickly. I real let down.

When I connected it to my computer it showed only 75 gb of free space . I tried to format it and delete any hidden files still no luck . Best buy did not want to refund me the money.

Works well and was inexpensive. Super easy to install and start using. I liked it so much I'm going to buy another one.

Ssd stopped working after the power went out in the house. I tried everything too fix the problem with no luck! Oh well, I suggest buying a power surge cable.

I had high hopes for PNY SSDs....however in the past month I have had 4-5 fail on me. Drives that are only a few months old. I cannot recommend them now. Spend a little more and get SanDisk or Samsung.

pny kept corruptin every four days every time i had to put window 10 back in.. dont need a headache for 40.00 dollars .. put a scan disk in and so far so good...

I don’t know if you blame Mac or PNY, b I have no idea whether this thing works at all because, it never loaded up or took an OS installation so, clueless.

I installed and the write speeds would drop from 400 to 50 mbps within seconds.. Poor performance. I went for a nvme m. 2 drive instead..
