PNY makes a good SSD. This drive worked perfect in a 2010 MacBook Pro.

I use the ssd for replacement of windows in laptops as well as desk tops I run open source, if windows 10 is on a spinning hard drive it is like a propeller driven plane but Linux on a ssd is like a jet no legacy no waiting for the mouse to stop. So where do you want to br 10 years from now still waiting for the mouse to quit spinning so you can use the pc? Switch to open source, mint 19.1 if you bluid out now it is good for updates to 2023, besides do you really think the kids in school can put up with all the patching that goes with windows? Get them into Linux, mint looks a runs just like the old x.p.

I replaced a standard spinning hard drive in an older laptop with drive. After installing the OS the laptop booted up much faster, and programs started much quicker. The size is just fine for the main drive. If a more space is needed I just hook up a USB external drive.

Upgraded this into a older laptop my dad used. Startup Boot time is faster than some newer cheaper laptops. Price to performance of this SSD is well worth it for older pc upgrades.

Excellent Solid State Drive - works in pc or macs, very reliable and fast, pretty much any solid state is better than a mechanical drive. But these easily work for what ever platform you are using. Only wish they came with mounting screws for pc.

I purchased this SSD for an old laptop. I've experienced no issues with this drive and it has greatly improved the speed of my old laptop. I would definitely purchase other PNY products in the future, great product at a decent price.

I thought I got an excellent deal with this SSD. It was easy to set up, from formatting to installation, it was a breeze. I have not had any issues with it and it is so much faster than a traditional HD. I highly recommend it.

Had an older laptop and this was the best upgrade I could have done to it. took out the old hard drive and installed this one and it made a world of a difference in performance. super happy.

This is a great way to take a machine and boost it's performance. Easy cloning software is included!

Was sketical about performance, but pc starts up A LOT faster. Seems to be snapper when opening files/programs...Windows still has its problems, but at least the occasional Windows hiccups/freezes, don’t hang as long Lol Great value for the money.

Excellent hard drive replacement to breathe new life into an old laptop. You can’t beat the reliability of a SSD vs a HDD nor can you beat the price and value of a PNY SSD.

This is a nice performing SSD. Got it for $67 on sale and installed it in a brand new laptop. Works as it should and the free Acronis software is pretty decent as it can do both full image backups and also be used to create a book disk/usb and can then do full drive clone of Win10.

A powerful little drive that works as advertised - boot up time in Microsoft Windows 10 Pro went from 2 minutes to around 30 seconds which is a huge difference from booting from a SATA or IDE drive and it was real easy to install.

PNY makes a lot of computer components at an affordable price, and you get a great product for that price point. Trusted name in my house!! I actually have one of the first Ssds they ever made still, works well to this day!!

Great little SSD for the price ($34.99 when purchased). Not the best or fastest out there, but hard to beat this SSD at this sale price. This is my third one and have also used the 120 GB. They really speed up the computers. Will continue to buy more as needed.

Great budget SSD. Price to performance, it is a great deal. Perfect for basic use and upgrading from a HDD. No flash, but still runs fast enough under light loads.

I replaced my grandpas laptop hdd with this. It made the laptop 10x faster and not feel like an old laptop. Its sad that new laptops in this day and age still come with hdds as boot drives.

This is a great budget SSD for upgrading older computers. 256GB is enough for most low end usage and I upgrade laptops with these SSDs all the time. Good mix of raw speed, capacity and value.

My old hard drive and previous computers always seemed to develop hard drive problems even though I was careful and rarely moved laptop from desk. My new solid state hard drive is noticeably quicker. I am very satisfied.
