Replaced the one on my ps4 with this. Small capacity but almost all my games are on an external. This made it faster

I’ve usually trust memory and video cards by PNY but never heard much about their ssd. Took a chance since I had a giftcard and it surprised me. It’s a lot faster at installing and loading data than my older OCZ Vertex 4 but keeps up pretty well with the Samsung Evo 850. For the price $70 ($45 after my $25 giftcard) I’m very happy with its performance. I also own a 250gb Evo 850 that cost $130 and the PNY is slightly slower with the read and write rates.

Works exactly as it should- it's fast, works perfectly. Put it in my laptop as a clone replacement for 5600. The laptop went from unusable to lightning.

I'm not a technical person, so I don't know nor care much about the speeds of hard drives. However, the Geek Squad gent did highly recommend upgrading my laptop to a Solid State Drive, as it would be much faster and also better endure drops, should they occur. Well, I haven't tested the drop part yet; but the laptop sure is one heck of a lot faster, in both booting up and in operation. It's been long enough that if it was going to slow down, it would have -- and no sign of that. Worked so well, I'm thinking of upgrading my older desktop to a solid state hard drive.

I caught these on sale and got five of them this time. I use them only for cloning the SSDs on freshly set up computers, just in case anything goes south. The 240GB SSD would not be large enough for me as the main drive in any of my working computers but it is certainly large enough to use as a C drive and having a second hard drive to install programs and store files. If you are not running an SSD, you are losing out on the greatest chance of speeding up your computer for a fairly low price.

PNY products are very reliable. My Dell was a little resistant to the cloning process but we got it done. My acer was much more trouble free.

Have used other brand SSD drives for years. The PNY drive is just as fast for considerably less money. God value.

Got this for a boot drive and it's working just as advertised. Windows starts up nice and fast now I have no complaints.

Recently got my hands on this PNY 256GB SSD for my mother's PC tower that was running on an older spinning disc; needless to say this was the best decision at a ridiculous price. This SSD just gave a new life to the older machine; now it boots up in less than 9 seconds, programs open and respond in a snap, and the computer has just gotten a speed boost overall. Don't skip on these PNY SSD's if you're on the look for a new drive. Two thumbs up recommendation.

Replaced a failing hard drive. Performance is obviously much better. Value is great compared to other brands of SSD.
