The experts might all say Samsung for SSD's but honestly, I've never ever had an issue with PNY's stuff and it's always almost half as expensive. When you're talking about a 20% increase in speed for 75% more cash, Samsung just isn't worth the price. This is a solid drive, for a solid amount.

SSD all the way

Slap it in reinstall OS and once you go to SSD you won't like a traditional hard drive anymore. Be warned this is only 240gb...so its for a computer doing basic things...You might need a external hard drive if you have alot of data to store.

Noticed the cpu was running at 100%. Broughtncomputer to geek squad for a hard drive upgrade or to purchase a new computer. They recommended upgrading the drive. Did the work themselves and had me out the door for under 200 and under 2 hours. Laptop works better than new! Highly recommend

Great upgrade from spinning hard disk drive

I have bought several and they work great. Not the fastest ssd, but for a system that still has the old spinning rust drive it is a Major speed increase... Also great for inexpensive new build that doesn't need gaming type speed.
