The reason I give it 4 stars is becase they used to come with imaging software and a little stick on plate that would sometimes be useful. Now it's just the Hard Drive. Definitely the best deal for the price, just be aware that you get what you pay for. PNY is known to after a while of use sometimes going out.

All drives used in computers should be ssd ,,until you use one you cannot even imagine the speed differences

This is the 5th PNY sad that I got within the last couple of years to install in various computers that I have. They all have been performing great and their price beats any other deal.

I've installed many of these and they are very reliable. I've had one fail and PNY will send a new one if within the 3-year warranty. It's important to back up as when they fail there is no forgiveness.

Used this to replace a mechanical hard drive. Solid State Drive is the new age. Especially for Laptops, Solid State makes the Laptop lighter, faster and more reliable.

Swapped out a 5400 rpm HDD from a Dell laptop with this SSD, and it made a world of difference in speed! The Acronis True Image software made disk cloning extremely easy. I would definitely buy PNY again.

I buy these all the time to update computers at and have never had a problem. I've probably purchased a dozen over the past two years and they are still going strong. Really speeds up boot time.

I have installed about five or six of these in my clients' computer systems over the last several months. The difference in system performance is amazing. This is literally the cheapest upgrade to a system to speed it up significantly. The difference is even more pronounced when you backup all the documents, reinstall the OS, and then restore all the documents. 240GB is plenty of space for most people, even with all their music and photos. If just doing a replace, be sure to use cloning software like Macrium Reflect or MiniTool Partition Wizard. The programs are both pretty self-explanatory and have free versions. Install the new drive, clone, remove the old drive, done.

I had bought this as a cheap option for my buddies computer that I was building for him and he loves it. I paired with with an old i5-760 CPU and it made the system feel brand new. Highly recommend.

Nothing really to say about the drive itself - its faster than the spindle drive it replaced, but that would be with any SSD replacement. My disappointment was finding no cloning software included, as previous PNY SSD drives. Not a huge deal, as I found a free one that worked well. For the price I probably shouldn't complain!

Work great! Fit my needs to get a old computer up and running for a child in need to us for remote learning. Made the old computer zippy and perfect for a 8th grader to use!

Great for the ones wanna save money with reliable product . I recommend it for gaming but not for people how needed product life five years or more . over all good for the price.

Bought this SSD to replaced a dead HDD on a laptop. Up to this date (4/21/21) it is still working perfectly (bought on 8/8/20). Laptop now boots up in a breeze.

Till now working fine. Cheapest ssd. Not sure how long it will last as in Amazon there are some negative reviews. Got protection plan for 2 years

Great drive, works perfectly. No complaints because I am using it for normal or average computing needs. Some internet surfing, some word processing, some image editing.

Bought it to upgrade my old laptop. Very easy to swap. Used the included software to clone the old hard drive to this one without a glitch. Very significant improvement with $30 bucks. Very happy.

I bought this to upgrade my sister-in-law's 2010 Macbook after a hard drive failure. The machine runs much faster with this solid state drive and because of that she should get a few more years of use out of it.
