Love having an SSD now and love the much better load and restart times I get to enjoy from using one. This one in particular is nice because it's a decent size to use as a boot drive and still has enough room leftover to put a few select items on that you may want to load faster than others like specific games or programs. I would highly recommend anyone who isn't using an SSD to make the switch over to using one. If unsure how to go about it or worried it might get goofed, there's always the GeekSquad people to help out or even do the whole thing for you, and at the price this SSD is listed, 100% worth the price point.

Needed a new hard drive since my old SATA HDD was going bad. Replicated old to this new drive and installed. Works great.

Let's be real, you're here because of the price. You're here because you need a new hard drive. Let me make it easy for you. The drive works great and runs smoothly. With your OS installed on the drive it reduces your load up/shut down time significantly. I installed it into an old PC, roughly 10-12 years old. There wasn't even an ssd slot available so I used only 2 screws to hold it in place. It works great. Got it? It works great.

This has been a good inexpensive solid state hard drive for updating older machines.

wanted to replace my primary 250 gb hard drive since i heard it making noises on start up and during the time the computer was up. found this SSD at Best Buy on sale. used AOMEI Backupper Standard to create a clone of the hard drive. unplugged the hard drive and plugged in this SSD using the existing SATA and power cables. wow, start up boot is fast and starting up applications are fast. this drive makes my old computer seem to run faster. i am very happy that i switched to this SSD.

My father's laptop had been super slow for years, and recently a Windows update crippled the machine. I bought this hard drive for an very affordable price, reinstalled the operating system, and the performance improvement for the machine was remarkable. It went from a boot time of several minutes to approximately 20 seconds to fully boot up/log in. He's been using the machine for about 4 months now without issue. Even swapping out the hard drive was a cinch. I would definitely recommend this hard drive.

I bought three of the PNY SSDs so far when Samsung and Crucial models were unavailable locally and I needed a drive in a hurry. These drives have been in near constant, 24x7 operation in hackintosh and Linux machines at my business and have not failed, lost data, or slowed down. They may not be the fasted drives around but they are a great value and are good enough for most PC users who don't need the newest controllers or highest read/write performance.

Just picked this up to rejuvenate a 5-year-old ultrabook that was slow due to being saddled with a glacial spinner drive. Had no trouble popping this into a SATA/USB enclosure and cloning the HDD image to it via Macrium Reflect (with a small tweak due to the SSD being smaller than the HDD). It then dropped right in place of the slim laptop-sized HDD and I was off and running. This change alone really did bring the ultrabook back to life! Everything is so much faster now... an amazing performance upgrade for a very small price - I like it.

Needed to replace the hard drive in my old PS3 and this gave it a nice speed uplift which was a welcome thing and also added space. Easy to install and works perfectly.

Bought a couple of these SSDs almost a year ago to upgrade old PCs and laptops and I have to say, they work absolutely amazing for the price! Sure, they're not as fast as a Samsung, but they cost considerably less as well and are waaay faster than the spinning HDDs they replaced. No issues in the 9 months of use so far, they're working just as well and just as fast as when first installed. Can't attest to long-term longevity over 9-months, but so far so good!

This ssd was easy to install and has been working perfectly. The difference in boot time for Windows is amazing. The price was very affordable.

How can you pass this SSD Drive up and go with a regular Hard Drive instead? The price is amazing and the speed and performance gains that you get are well worth it!
