Good hard disk to store the files and other important artifacts, when I bought it was little pricey and after that it's reduced, but still good but to try, no noise from the hard disk

This SSD was the perfect fit for my HP laptop, boots up fast and can hold a lot of memory. love it and it was easy to install only reason I did not give five stars is because I felt it could have been more on the thrifty side.

I've had zero problems with these, even though they are the cheapest SSDs you can find, at least when on sale. The performance is probably not the same as a Samsung drive, but it's also no slouch. I'd recommend these to upgrade a computer that has a spinning disk drive currently. Well worth the cost for the performance boost.

    A PNY for your Thought

My 5 year old PC is now using a PNY - 240GB Internal SATA solid state drive as the boot drive instead of a hard disk drive. The boot time including the POST is less than 25 seconds as compared to about 110 seconds with the HDD. Software applications load almost instantly. The operating system and data migration were easily completed using Macrium Reflect software. The reliability of the SSD has been flawless thus far and I am very pleased with the performance of the PNY - 240GB internal SATA solid state drive.

A solid-state drive (SSD) is a solid-state storage device that uses integrated circuit assemblies as memory to store data persistently, typically using flash memory. It is also sometimes called a solid-state device or a solid-state disk,[1] although SSDs lack the physical spinning disks and movable read-write heads used by conventional electromechanical storage such as hard drives ("HDD") or floppy disks.[2] Compared with electromechanical drives, SSDs are typically more resistant to physical shock, run silently, and have quicker access time and lower latency.[3] SSDs store data in semiconductor cells. As of 2019, cells can contain between 1 and 4 bits of data. SSD storage devices vary in their properties according to the number of bits stored in each cell, with single bit cells ("SLC") being generally the most reliable, durable, fast, and expensive type, compared with 2 and 3 bit cells ("MLC" and "TLC"), and finally quad bit cells ("QLC") being used for consumer devices that do not require such extreme properties and are the cheapest of the four. In addition, 3D XPoint memory (sold by Intel under the Optane brand), stores data by changing the electrical resistance of cells instead of storing electrical charges in cells, and SSDs made from RAM can be used for high speed, when data persistence after power loss is not required, or may use battery power to retain data when its usual power source is unavailable.[4] Hybrid drives or solid-state hybrid drives (SSHDs), such as Apple's Fusion Drive, combine features of SSDs and HDDs in the same unit, containing a large hard disk drive and an SSD cache to improve performance of frequently-accessed data.[5][6][7]

Decent purchase for an economy SSD. 256GB should be more than enough to handle Windows 10 and most common applications. If you're looking for something more performance-oriented and on a budget look towards the Samsung 850 EVOs. Otherwise, this is a safe purchase in a pinch.
