I bought this for my wife's sluggish HP laptop. Great transformation! The only negative was that PNY didn't provide any disk cloning software like some other manufacturers do, so I incurred some extra expense.

I decided to purchase this SSD to use for a crashed PC with the "blue screen of death" when I was unable to get the PC back running through it's Windows repair commands or prompts and it saved me from purchasing a new pc.

I purchased 4 of these and have had no issues nor any regrets about the purchase. In my opinion they are a very good value. I only have one point of comparison and that is with a WD brand of the same size and I feel that the PNY is faster. I haven't had either in service long enough to compare the reliability. I would recommend this item for the value and performance.

I replaced the old hard disk in my Lenovo laptop with this drive. Completely renewed the system. I highly recommend this SSD for that purpose. The laptop is working better than ever.

I was searching for one of the fastest SSDs available, and this was a great option at an excellent price. It works flawlessly in my old Lenovo W520 laptop and has given it a significant speed boost. While restoring an old pc for my dad, I needed to upgrade the boot drive. I couldn't use an m.2 due to the older motherboard on that computer, so I got this drive instead. Definitely loads into windows faster than the old hard drive it came with- just had to use an adapter to put into a standard 3.5 inch drive slot, plug it in, and install a modern os. Bought for a pretty good price too, yet still a great value even at normal price compared to the bigger names like Samsung. For computers that don't have an m.2 slot I would highly recommend this drive. Just remember to pick up an adapter if you're upgrading a desktop, which are easily found right here at Best Buy. Unless you're making a solitary drive build, 500 gb is plenty!
