I bought this device to serve as a utility / Linux live USB / file xfer device. Based on the write-up and experience with my other USB devices, 3.0 flash drives & microsdxc in reader, I was expecting to see 40mb/s to 130+mb/s. This device barely delivered an average 4.3 mb/s and fluctuated from a high of ~17mb/s to a low <1mb/s. As a baseline, a microsdxc 64GB card in reader using the same exact USB 3.0 slot consistent 130mb/s, which is a pleasure to work with. This PNY flash drive may be useful to hold backup "just in case" files but it is not acceptable for active storage use. Given the number of cheap options that deliver performance >100mb/s, I'd encourage you to find another option. I may be returning this since there's a chance it's defective.... you've been warned!

This was my first time using this flash drive and the sales person I spoke to in the store told me that is one of the faster flash dives to use to down load my files and it was much much faster! Very pleased with it!

As I write it is filling with software so far so good. When I saw the sale price it seemed to good to be true for a 128gb drive USB3... PNY is a solid company so I went with it. See how it goes after its filled with software and plugged in for awhile. See if it was a really, really good value.

Works well. Fast usb 3. Large storage. Good value when sharing large amount of pictures with others.

Pretty disappointed with this product. I used this USB to store recording footage from a blink camera. The video resolution it stored isn't that high and there wasn't much motion to capture. It was working fine for just a few months before the drive completely died out of nowhere. I didn't want to bother with warranty so I'm just left with a dead USB. The free Microcenter USB that replaced it has outlasted this drive which is the ultimate insult to this drive. That drive is also only 128gb and not 256gb like this drive was.

I needed a USB portable drive to load a video for my mom’s funeral. This 3.0 loaded up quick and worked on both the funeral home’s, and the church’s Video systems. Performed well.

I purchased this flash drive as storage for all the pictures I take so I don't have to store them on my surface and it's working out pretty good. The price was also a good buy.

the best one I have found yet, it was inexpensive and packed with space, i combined all the other ones I used to carry with me into this one device .

if You have iMAC or Latest SSD, this will give speed of 100-150mbps at the time of transfer. For HDD max speed comes as 40mbps in USB3 port.

Good amount of space great value. Best one so far for what you pay
