An amazing price on a great product

The bad: The sliding cover is annoying because it won't lock in place when uncovering the USB plug. This makes it difficult to slide the USB plug into your laptop/PC slot because the cover will slide with it. Also, the cover offers absolutely no benefit because the internal component of the plug is still uncovered. If you have the opportunity to buy this during a sale, it's a great buy!!!

Good for general file storage/portable files/bkups

Write speed apparently can't quite keep up with the feed from the DVR as there is occasional random pixelation/skips during playback, which does not occur when I connect a regular mechanical USB hard drive to the DVR box. Not a failure on the part of the flash drive as far as I can tell; I just bought the wrong device for my application. I will use it for other things; it is otherwise perfectly fine for copying files between machines, using for backups, etc.
