Big, Beautiful GPU

PNY always does well with these things, and this time is no different. They’ve managed to provide me (and Best Buy is gracious enough to sell this at/near cost) with an MSRP 5070. It could have used some more VRAM (this would be a stellar card if it had 14gb+ instead of 12), but nvidia needs to protect the 16gb 5080, so I understand. Back to this GPU’s actual specs: this is a very well-manufactured card. The heatsink is absolutely beautiful (triple-fan 8x heat pipes?!), and I am convinced that the card might just run forever because of it. It comes with a factory overclock, which leads me to believe that they’re confident about the silicon quality. But that’s just what you get from PNY when they’re actually allowed to get their hands on chips and manufacture GPUs: high-quality hyper-robust builds at MSRP if you don’t want to pay for RG-BS. Just, make sure you have a GPU bracket if you’re running this vertically.

I recently upgraded my rig with the PNY GeForce RTX 5070 12 GB OC Triple‑Fan, and it’s exceeded expectations—delivering smooth, high‑frame‑rate 1440p gameplay thanks to its factory overclock (boosting to approximately 2.5 GHz) and 12 GB of fast GDDR7 memory. Its robust triple‑fan cooling keeps temps and noise impressively low, even under heavy loads, helping maintain consistent performance. With support for DLSS 4 and NVIDIA’s new Blackwell architecture, it offers excellent value at its MSRP (~$549), especially for gamers who aren’t chasing ultra‑high‑end cards. The build feels solid, installation was straightforward, and it’s a great mid‑range pick for 1080p or 1440p setups looking for future‑proofing without breaking the bank

This has been a fantastic card, even after adjusting power limits and giving it a slight over clock. It stays cool and quiet extremely stable. The back plate is well constructed and looks great very high quality card, i would highly recommend at MSRP anything more i would look elsewhere.

If you can snag this at MSRP, it's a solid choice. I upgraded from my old 3090, and the FPS is almost the same. It runs cooler, uses significantly less power, and performs well for anything up to 2K resolution—possibly even some lighter titles in 4K. My primary motivation for buying this was to enable Ray Tracing in Wuthering Wave, since the game only supports Ray Tracing on RTX 4000 series cards or higher.
Considering the 3090 launched at $1,500, getting this card for $550 feels relatively reasonable. However, if you're already using the 4070, the improvement might not be substantial.
I should note that I've had some trouble with automatic1111. After researching a bit, I chose to hold onto my 3090 for this specific purpose, as its 24GB of VRAM is also more suitable for AI-related tasks. (kept both PC running)

Works fantastic. Huge upgrade from 3060. I play a lot of city building games and they can be quite demanding when you start having large populations. Also pretty quiet and much cooler than my 3060. Runs around 65C, default settings. Probably the best value of the 5xxx series in my opinion. Did consider ti version but 20% performance for 40% more cost? Nehh.. Get this card.
Best Buy also made it easy with pickup. Ready in 25min.

Card runs cool and quiet. Seems to run the games I play at 1440p 60fps+ with no issue. Be aware this has the 12Vhp connector, but it comes with a pigtail that adapts 2 8-pin PCIe power cables. The card is somewhat large, mainly in length, so check your case.
Time will tell on the 12GB being enough for future games at 1440p, but it will likely still be a nice 1080p card for future demanding titles. One star off because of the value. Even at MSRP from Nvidia, video cards these days are overpriced.
Looks wise it's okay. The lettering is a bit large for my taste, but at least there's no RGB nonsense.

PROS: At msrp the price is fair. Its a solid csrd for the price. 4k on every title, with the help of dlss on some or most of them. Good frame rates. Stays cool and quite. Cons: only 12gb of vram, which gets toght in mldern games. If you havnt bought one yet wait for the 5070 super thats coming out in 9 months. Its got 18gb vram and its the same price

We all know the state of graphics cards currently. A 70 series card should not cost this much, but this was the only 5070 available at MSRP. I refused to pay a 200 dollar markup for RGB and an overbuilt cooler on a 70 series card.
Now for the actual review:
PNY does not disappoint. I ran this card for about 2 hours and it stayed consistent 68C at 72F ambient. Whisper quiet at around 40% fan speed If anything the fan curve could be a little more aggressive. I did mess with some overclocking and got noticeable gains. On MSI afterburner I maxed out the power slider, maxed out the memory slider, and added +250mhz to the core. Temps remained safe around 70C and the fans still couldn't be heard over my CPU cooler.

I changed my old PNY 4060ti with this card. I can say that buying this card at this price is really a very good deal. The performance is amazing, and it is really silent. I play all the games that I like with the highest settings, and the FPS is really high.

I was running an RTX 3070 at 1080p, but when I upgraded to 1440p I needed a massive upgrade to ensure I could run games at high/ultra settings at stable/smooth frame rates. With my new 180hz 1440p monitor, I can run most games comfortably at around at least 80fps using high-ultra settings (worst case being Cyberpunk), but usually around a stable 120fps or higher. Fortnite for instance runs at a stable 160-180fps at high/ultra settings. And that’s all without even touching frame gen! If you’re worried about frame gen’s latency, I totally understand, but to negate it as much as possible just ensure your base frame rate before frame gen is above 60 or so. With 12GB of VRAM it’s enough for pretty much most games at maxed settings in 1440p. Overall, this card does a great job, running smoothly without overheating, or even any coil whine. It’s always quiet and powerful. If you can find this video card at MSRP or maybe even higher, I’d definitely recommend it.

The PNY GeForce RTX 5070 12GB OC delivers smooth 1440p and even 4K gaming with impressive efficiency. Its triple-fan cooling keeps temps low and noise minimal, while PCIe 5.0 ensures top-tier bandwidth. A solid, no-frills choice for serious gamers.

Card runs great. Not too loud and stays cool. 12GB VRAM is enough for 99% of games so I haven’t experienced any issues myself. If you look at that card as a stand alone product, it id great.

The 5070 is probably the most underrated GPU of the current generation. Due to its 12gb of VRAM, which is less than both AMD and NVIDIA's more budget alternatives (16gb for both the 5060ti and 9060xt) a lot of hate gets piled on this card.
But personally, coming from someone who was running an 8gb AMD 7600 which was a solid 1080p card, the 5070 has been a great pair with my 1440p OLED monitor and can handle any modern games I throw at it at well over 100fps in most games.
Considering the mark-up and limited availability of so many GPU's currently, if you can get this one at or near MSRP it gives great performance

This PNY NVIDIA 5070 is an incredible value.. performance is flawless and the quality is outstanding. Couldn’t be happier with how smooth it runs. The in-store pickup experience at Best Buy was just as impressive. I simply showed the QR code, and the staff quickly handed me the item.. no waiting at all. Super fast and hassle-free. I love both the product and in store experience!!!

The RTX 5070 12Gb GDDR7 is a powerful hrsphics card easily capable of handling day to day tasks at low power then easily crank up to 200w when you’re ready to game. The power draw is pretty low for the performance you get out of it. Easy 1440p 60fps for newer AAA RTX games, some even 100+, and games that are a few years old now can run at 4K 60fps or 1440p 100+ all day long. Pretty impressed with the performance you get, and it was slightly cheaper than the RTX 4070 12Gb GDDR6X I purchased in 2023. The PNY model is sleek, plain black, no bright rainbow RGB, pretty small, and quiet with three fans. Multi-frame generation is cool but I haven’t tested it yet.

In a world where GPUs appreciate value faster than my TSMC porfolio, best buy remains a bastion of reasonable prices. The card works fine, shipping fast, and was cheaper than most used versions. As for the card itself, solid card other than 12gb may not be enough 5 years down the line. Not too loud either. Good value for buck
