    Impressive Low Power Graphics Card

A graphic card that will surprise you. Quiet. Installed in a HP TP01-1030 i3 Desktop with integrated graphics with 16GB 3200 ram, a 500GB NVMe SSD and the Intel Wi-Fi 6 card. The PNY 1030 card draws very low power (30 watts). It’s a great solution for HP’s 180 power supplies. Fantastic improvement over the integrated graphics (although the onboard graphics was not bad). For movie and video enthusiasts this card really improved my online movies and YouTube videos. Not that easy to install but not the cards fault. HP Access ports have to be pried out with a needle nose pliers and seating it was tricky but once it popped into place it was good to go. Download video drivers prior to installation. The card works immediately on power up but improves with the nvdia drivers. Not saying anything about gaming but it was a graphics upgrade worth the price. Best Buy shipping was outstanding. Received the next day.

Specs say DDR4 - and it is DDR4 - fair warning

Not what I was hoping for, but is what it says. You have to drill down the specs to eventually see where it says this uses DDR4 ram. In the Q&A sections here, that was asked about, and all the answers said that this has what the PNY site says for this model - GDDR5. Well... no. While there is nothing on the box to indicate this, there is a sticker on the back of the card itself that, among the barcodes and part and serial numbers, does say - "GeForce GT1030 2 GB DDR4 PCIE". And the Nvidia Control Panel System Information confirms: "Dedicated Video Memory: 2048 MB SDDR4" So, this is among the batch of GT1030s that had it's GDDR5 memory swapped out with no obvious warning about it. You have hunt for the specs, but it's there. So, for that, I can't really blame Best Buy - just my own inflated expectations hoping Best Buy was wrong. I don't do gaming with this. My machine is for Building Information Modeling and rendering. This card will get me by until I can get a better one later this year. Considering this card originally released 4 years ago at a price of about 70 bucks - WITH GDDR5, no less - the $100 increase since then doesn't really make this a good buy. But it is among the cheaper buys today compared to the mid-range and higher-end models that are simply outrageous right now. Quality seems good - hope that lasts. Installation was easy, but I've done this a few times, so no problems there. I wouldn't recommend this particular product though. I'd suggest hunting down the real GDDR5 version.

Works Great as Temp Card, Slightly Overpriced

I knew going in that this is not a beast of a card; however, it is significantly better than integrated graphics or the infamous GT 710. At $130, it is overpriced compared to Gigabyte's model at ~$85, but this is in stock much more often than that card. I plan on eventually purchasing a better card as soon as I can get one and perhaps reselling this card to someone who was in my position. Right now I have this card paired with a R7 3700x, and I'm able to play almost any game at 1080p low/medium settings at ~60fps. Overall, it works very well as a temporary gaming and productivity solution. I'm happy I bought this card. It is a tad overpriced, but a $40-50 premium for availability is much better than paying scalper prices for this card ($200+ used) or any other card.

got this card because my RX580 died on me. Got this card the same day and it performs well for the price. I mainly bought this card to hold me over until I buy a new graphics card once I get some more cash. I would entirely recommend this card for beginners and light gamers because it handles very well with light titles and indie games.

Small graphics card that can play modern games

I love how slim the card is. It can easily fit into almost any build, possibly even some small form factor cases. It consumes a low amount of power straight from the motherboard so in most cases you do not have to upgrade your power supply. Keep your expectations realistic, you won't be doing 4k gaming with 60 fps, but this will play most modern games anywhere from 720p-1080p at a decent playable framerate. It is also perfect for everyday use and normal tasks like surfing the web. It's exactly what I needed for my kid's computers and it works great in my own personal 2nd PC. Follow the directions and install the GeForce Experience, let it automatically obtain the drivers and perform a clean install through the program. I personally uninstalled the experience program once I was done getting the drivers since I prefer to keep my computer lean and bloatware free. My only con is the price, which is currently sitting at over $100.00 dollars. Find it a bit cheaper elsewhere and get a price match.

    Good Basic Card

Okay, so let's get things straight from the get go. This is a GT 1030. Not a 1050ti, 1660, 1080, 2070, or 3060ti. This is a fairly basic video card that, in all honesty, is meant to power desktops or HTPCs. If you're expecting results of the latter cards....well. Buy those cards then. But the GT1030 can definitely do things. Light gaming is doable, even at 1080p (though I'd recommend 720p just so you can get better performance). Its at least better than iGPU performance on Intel chips. That being said, I needed a card that would operate better than Intel UHD 610 iGPU as well as fit in a SFF PC. It also needed to pull all power from the slot/no extra power connectors on the card, and have active cooling (no passive heatsink). This left me with a few options, and I didn't want to drop down to a GT 710 or 210. So this PNY 2GB 1030 fit the bill. It outperforms the Intel iGPU on my Pentium G6400 and also doesn't deliver any graphical glitches on several programs this SFF build runs. The only cons to this card were: The SFF bracket was sort of pain to setup. It wasn't overly difficult, just tedious. Also 2GB isn't a *whole* lot these days, but better than 1GB. The other downside was the pricepoint. I know for a fact there are better deals on GT 1030s elsewhere, but you generally have to wait an extended period of time for it. I was looking for a card for same-day pickup, so in this instance the price premium was worth it (and still cheaper than the volatile state of the current GPU market). The brand isn't my favorite, but PNY cards aren't the worst I've used. Up sides is, its small, has GDDR5 for the VRAM, and is plug and play. It also at least performs as good or better than a GTX 650....even though that's not a huge achievement its still something. Anyways...if you need a card NOW, or a Low-Pro card...well this is a good contender.

Perfect for starter builds, support up to 1080p gaming and up to 4K video streaming. Nvidia is the best recommended graphics card. Does not support up to RTX Ray Tracing. Does offer a really good performance level on applications and PC games such as Steam, cloud streaming and more to offer.

The card worked...but the fan was too distracting for me. It was intended for a dual monitor setup for protools/mixing, and the computer is on the floor next too me. I was using the built in graphics of an 10th gen i7 from the mother board, but it only has 1 hdmi and 1 vga output. I wanted to run both monitors hdmi (one monitor needed the DVI-hdmi converter, but it worked just fine). I guess the tiny fan (compared to other iterations of the GT1030 which have larger fans or passive cooling) just needed to spin too fast to cool the way it needed to.

Video card is a solid performer with slim design and low profile. Has one small fan and AL heat sink, fits PCI-E slot. Not a hardcore gamer card but will allow an office computer to display multiple monitors and render video smoothly without bogging down the main processor. Suggest downloading the latest driver from nvidia.com, the one that Windows loads in automatically is not very stable for this card.

I have a dell optiplex 9020 SFF and not many graphic cards would fit. I found the GTX 1030 was small enough to fit and read a lot of reviews saying it was perfect for the optiplex. Had geek squad install it and everything works on normal (default) settings. I don't really need high settings or a fancy graphics card all I care about that it works on my small pc. I dropped a star because geek squad tried to tell me they "don't recommend" this device and tried to sell me a more expensive one or buy another computer which I didn't like. As I said earlier all I care about that it works on normal settings. If they try to do this to you firmly say no and you prefer going with your game's recommendations.

This is a great card and I had no problems using it. Right now with graphics prices being hyper-inflated I cant see spending more money than my entire build just for graphics. This card's performance sits just a bit higher than the latest onboard graphics and it does a great job. I haven't pushed it in games yet, but from what I have read it should be able to do some gaming on mild/average settings. It has also been fairly quiet in normal day to day use.

Wanted to upgrade the on board card with something that used hdmi connection so I could upgrade my monitor. Install went perfect, no issues with drivers or windows. I have it connected to a LG ultragear 32" monitor and it seems to be doing a great job. Wanted to buy a slightly higher end card but they are hard to find and stupidly over priced. Happy with this card for now until the prices come down on better ones.

Bought this for price, profile, and low power draw. Fits into an Optiplex SFF. I had to learn a bit about installation and the driver swap, and was thrown off about how the pins fit in the PCIe, but it came together and fired up beautifully. It has certainly smoothed out the function and presentation of the DAW that I use. The DVI-D isn't the best, but I bought a 10' adapter cable for $7. I don't play video games.

I needed a graphics card to drive a higher resolution monitor than my motherboard built-in graphics could handle. It was not for gaming, but office work or movies. This card was reasonably priced and easy to install (Windows 10). It is quiet (I don't hear the fan). I would have liked a 3rd output, but at this price I accepted the compromise. I've used Nvidia graphics before and PNY specifically. Windows automatically installed drivers, but I installed a later revision of the driver from the Nvidia website. To date, everything is working well.

Bought this to upgrade to 4k from the 1080p integrated graphics in my desktop. Installation was simple and quick. I'm using this card to run two 4k monitors and the images on the displays are fantastic. This graphics card has two outputs: an HDMI and DVI. I bought a DVI to HDMI adapter, so I can use two HDMI cords to connect the monitors. Works perfectly.

Needed a video card for a home system that I was building that needed a stand alone GPU before I could get it up and working. This card fit the need I had and it was at a reasonable price. The card has been great and recent drive updates has mad it better.

It's pretty good. I also have a GTX 1050 and 1060 in two other PCs. It ran all the games I needed as much as the other two cards. I'm not saying it's as good, but for me, did the job. I mostly like that it's more slim that the other GPUs because not all Optiplex SFF computers have room for a 1050 or 1060 even though they're both low profile.

A necessary, and economical upgrade for my box with standard integrated graphics. Runs all the games I want with good visuals, no lag. Probably not for the serious gamer making you tubes, but for the rest of us who aren't spending 2G on a box... this will do. I'm pleased with it. Easy to install, and nice it came with the optional smaller plate for mounting on my smaller unit.
