GT 710 Upgrade

I would have gone with a slightly better card but this was the only model available within 100 miles of me. You can probably find a better model for for a little bit more expensive and really get some great upgrades, especially if you are looking for a gaming machine.

I just wanted something better than onboard graphics (I don't game and am not a big video consumer) that would run as fast as my system generally (DDR 3 RAM) and render graphics fully and without a ton of resource loss. I was surprised to find that the card was not as long as my PCI slot, but it plugged right in, all of the contacts in the slot were obviously not necessary, the system integrated it on startup in less than a minute, and I am up and running again.
