Good card with coil whine

Careful of power limit!

Terrible benchmark scores led me to do this and I saw the card was limiting itself to 58% power. One might think it was the power adapter but the sense pin configurations to power limit didn't check out. I suspect it is the card. I noticed the lowest 4080 on UserBenchmarks was also a PNY 4080 and it had a similar score to mine so I am not alone. You may not notice any real issue if you have nothing to compare it to because at 58% it still performed great compared to my old card. Be weary my friends. I returned mine as it isn't worth the trouble and it isn't right to pay full price for a power limited card.

Beast- good card
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mine is actually the same PCB but its called the PNY 4080 xlr8 Uprising 3 fan. Same everything else though. Just think of it as another FE or just a reference model. Can't add extra power but ill it doesn't need it. It is ridiculously efficient. Playing DCS World or Fifa the thing rarely draws more than 275 watts and its pushing 130 and 175 FPS in 4k respectively in those games. Build quality is good and it does have a full 3 IO shield. Paired with Ryzen 7 7700x and 32 GB DDR5 5200mhz dimms. I recommend using either the sag bracket it comes with or at least ordering one online bc the thing is HUGE and heavy. It literally will not make good enough contact with PCIE slot without them. It may run in X4 or if you are lucky x8 without one.
