Did not work, many errors found using memtest86

Installed this memory in my HP Elitebook laptop and immediately started having BSOD almost every time I used my laptop. Basically made my laptop completely unstable until I removed the memory at which point the Blue Screens went away. Took out all memory out of my laptop and ran memtest86 on the single PNY memory module and sure enough it found 65000+ errors. Won't buy PNY memory again, will stick with everyone's advice and go with Crucial.

Bought this to upgrade from 3gb to 8gb on my Windows 7 laptop. Made sure that the os would support that much ram and that the PNY ram was compatible; actually double checked so I would run into an issues. Got it home, installed easy (have installed ram in the past so I knew what to do) and booted up the computer. And the trouble begins. Boot up starts super slow, then proceeds to a Windows error screen. Apparently there is a disk error and Windows has to repair the disk. This repair corrected nothing. Removed the PNY ram and put the oem ram back in everything is back to normal. Definitely disappointed and will definitely stay away from PNY products. Ram upgrade should be one of the easiest upgrades when it comes to computers and not cause disk errors. I don't know why I continue to buy products from Best Buy since they seem to sell so much junk.

I tried to upgrade my laptop's RAM from 4 to 8 MB but my computer kept giving me blue screen errors. My laptop is over 10 years old and could not handle this. The cards went in easily and also came out easily

PNY factory label error, 1.35 V NOT 1.5 V, beware

I had to return these chips because the package says 1.5 volts but the chips themselves say 1.35 volts. DDR3 has been around for about 10 years. These chips are for the newest DDR3L laptops and will NOT work with older computers that need the standard DDR3 1.5 voltage chips. I had the laptop with me and opened the package right in the store in front of the Best Buy associate. It appears to be a supply chain issue. They said they would make the manufacturer aware of the problem.

I bought this assuming that it would work inside of my 2009 MacBook Pro but it would not. It does show and thereby making me believe that all would be well but with in a few hours, those few hours being less than six, I kept getting a fatal error and a reboot on my computer. I pulled out these and replaced with my old ram and all was well. As for recommending I'm going to say yes but only if it'sn't going into a MacBook Pro. I hope you understand because there was nothing wrong with the ram it just isn't right for me and my MacBook Pro. That's why I gave it four stars and not five.
