I needed to bump up the RAM, and found exactly what I needed. The speed was faster than I needed, but Geek Squad confirmed it works still work on the laptop.

Added this ram to our laptop and went from 4 to 8 Gboard of ram. Smooth sailing and now when my wife opens half a bazillion windows at the same time the computer no longer slows down

I needed to add more memory to my laptop due to all the plug in's I have in my music software for my home studio. The memory was easy to install and it improved the performance of my laptop greatly.

My college daughter's computer went down with some functional problems. After diagnosing the problem it was determined the issue was a portion of her laptops memory went out. Being four hours away I went online and purchased the PNY - 4GB DDR3 Sdram Memory Module based off of the other reviews. I was able look at her local Best Buy store, make the purchase, and after making the purchase set it up for in store pick-up the next morning along with an external hard drive so she wouldn't lose her college work. The installation was very simple and It's been several months since being installed with no issues.

I added this to my laptop so that I can do homework while using Google Chrome, which is very RAM hungry. Also made my laptop faster.

The issue is that even if you go to the web site and buy exactly the size that fits your laptop it still may not work. I got the MHz to match correctly, but this time it was an issue that not all of these DDR3 cards are compatible with the lower voltage laptops. There is no warning on the box to tell you that. The web sites I checked never mentioned voltage as an issue for compatibility.

This memory is exactly what we needed to get an older laptop to handle today's apps and online games. Easy to install and a great value. I am going back for another one.
