The Price was Right Apple wanted 400.00 to upgrade my macbook pro i7 laptop to 8gb from 4gb and I did it for less than 80.00 As stated the memory is a direct replacement for the installed apple memory and it works great. The computer sped up during processing of photo's in lightroom which is a great benefit.

I just picked up a new laptop with 4GB of memory. Running linux with KVM windows was a bit sluggish. Bestbuy down the road had the necessary memory in stock at a decent price so I headed over and picked it up. Installed it and have had no problems (and sluggishness went away, as expected). I wish they would stock a larger selection of upgrade components.

My daughter has a HP laptop and it came with 4GB of Ram. I purchased this additional 4GB of Ram to bring her to 8GB. What a difference in speed and responsiveness. As always I shopped around before buying, and settled on Best Buy for a couple reasons. 1) Price and convenience, if I needed to return it. 2) I trust Best Buy to stand behind their sales. They have always been very easy to work with.

I bought this to upgrade my wife's Mac. The module was extremely easy to install and has worked perfectly ever since. It's not a huge upgrade as some newer computers come with much more RAM, but for the price it essentially doubled the speed on her 2010 MacBook. I would recommend this to anyone for a cheap solution the bump up the speed on an older computer.

I purchaced this to upgrade the memory of my laptop from 6GB to 8GB. It was very easy to install. The performance and speed is great.

Purchased to upgrade an older 2010-2011 iMac 27" desktop computer. It's been in for maybe a half year or so and I've not had any issues with the memory modules. The iMac recognized the new memory right away and upped my RAM to 16 GB, which makes it much easier to run virtual machines with Windows. The limitation isn't the memory here, it's the old iMac, so this memory has performed well and just as expected. Just be sure and check your computer's manual or other online tool to make sure the speed and such is correct and matches the modules you have already.

I bought this memory when I purchased my new Toshiba. It installed easy and now soaring through everything!

I had purchased this RAM to upgrade my Sony Vaio laptop which came in with only 2GB of RAM. After extended search for suitable memory and compatibility, I finally decided to go with PNY. This is excellent RAM and it's been already 6 months and my laptop now has total of 6GB RAM and it takes less than 40 seconds to boot-up and less time to shut down, thanks to PNY 4GB RAM. I am very happy with the purchase and recommend this DDR3 memory to anyone who's looking to upgrade the memory or for replacing the existing memory. Buying at best buy is pleasure always and I will be buying in future if at all I need one.

Installed two of these in my 2011 iMac to add on to the additional memory the iMac came with. I now have all four slots filled with 4GB each. Computer is running a bit faster. Very easy install.

It was a great price. Laptop is now 8 gb memory and can run multiable things without a problem. Easy to install and over all PERFECT!

IT's good cheap RAM! I put two of these puppies in my iMac. Went from 4gb RAM to 12 in a matter of minutes! Mac users should download the pro version of "Free Memory" to help you manage all this extra space. I NEVER have to worry about virtual memory. Even running cs5.5, AutoCAD, and other programs at the same time. It was only 25 bucks each!!

Researched other reviews to make sure I was getting the right memory. Apple wanted $400 for 8gig of memory for the Mac mini. Got 2 x 4 gig sticks onsale for $18 each, popped them in and booted up. Sooo easy. Thanks to comments from others that guided me.

Just purchased 2 PNY 4GB sticks for a MacBook Pro A1286. RAM wasn't compatible when the laptop was running OS X 10.3 (Panther). I upgraded to 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and then downloaded 10.10 (Yosemite); the OS doesn't allow you to jump from 10.3 to 10.10 directly. Although the original ram is spec'ed at DDR3 1066 PC3-8500, the PNY 1333 PC3-10666 was compatible. The A1286 now has 8GB of RAM and is recognized by the OS. Works flawlessly.

Upgraded my Touchsmart with two of these from 4 GB to 8 GB RAM. Runs great and only cost $50. Can't beat it.

Was just right for the price. Ended up buying a second one and computer runs better now.

unfortunately Best Buy did not price~match my purchase, on staples its 5$ less, since price matching takes so much time i decided to let it go, but its Best Buy's job to price match their competitors. Ease of installation... very easy, watch on youtube a video tutorial and you should be fine, some laptops like e-pc asus you will need to remove keyboard, but on my case, only 2 screws, and insert. bought it today, next time i will buy by the price.

I got 2 of these with a 2011 Mac mini... I thought that I'd pump the RAM up to 8GB and also pump the VRAM from 256-288 to 512. The chips fit perfectly and I never had any issue booting into the system and the Profiler read both RAM chips. The odd thing was, with these chips installed, the mini would reboot itself anywhere from 4- 10 times a day, which made it worthless as a home media server. Once I took these out and went back to the 2GB stock Apple RAM - no more reboots... didn't change anything else, just the RAM. I think I may have just gotten a lemon chip, because I usually have great luck with PNY and I do normally recommend them... just can't in my particular instance...

great ram, very easy to install and speeds up my laptop.

I have an Acer Aspire laptop that's about 4 years old and I just wasn't ready to replace it. This memory upgrade was just what I needed. Now, my laptop runs just as fast as a new one and I didn't have to worry about transferring files and settings to a new one. Definitely money well spent!
