Customers value the XLR8 Gaming NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Overclocked Edition's performance and its reasonable price, frequently citing the excellent cost-to-performance ratio and ease of installation. Positive feedback also highlights the card's ability to deliver high frames per second (FPS) in various games and its effective cooling system. However, some customers point out a discrepancy in the memory type description.

Make sure that you are aware that this is ddr5 and not ddr6. The ddr6 is quite an upgrade for similar price. Don't be fooled!

The product did not have the memory type described, but tests show no difference in the frame rates between the newer memory card, so I kept the card and installed it. Very Satisfied with the card for the price. The benchmarks are almost equivalent to an XLR 1550 but without the XLR features. If an XLR 1550 existed, it would have comparable frame rates.
We built a system from Best Buy on Pre-Black Friday and Black Friday deals. Corsair Vengeance 2400 DDR memory (64Gig total), AMD Ryzen 3800X CPU, WD Black M.2 500Gig SSD, ASUS ROG Strix B450F motherboard, XLR8 overclocked NVIDIA GTX 1660 graphics card, Corsair 3 RGB fan case and a 750 Watt EVGA power supply. Windows 10 Home OS. We run virtual box with Ubuntu Server to develop MMORPG video games in Unity Game Engine.
Even with several internet browsers open, and running both OS and the Virtual Box with the Unity Game engine, we still average 80FPS in the 3D Game we are developing. We upgraded a couple older laptops we purchased at Best Buy years ago with new PNY 120 Gig SSD to use as Beta Server for testing. Lenovo Y-510 and HP Pavilion 17-e037cl laptops. The PNY SSD also come from Best Buy.
Some people reviewing appear to be unhappy with the slight difference in the memory type, but the differences are minimal. I mean on one card it would get between 79 FPS and 104 FPS and the other would be 78 FPS and 104 FPS. Sometimes on multiple tests, going through the same area of a game, the same exact card with the same memory would fluctuate and show that minimal difference.
An engineer that knows card manufacturing and testing of memory types knows I am giving factual relevant data on this topic. Neither of the video cards utilize the full potential of the 3.0 PCI pipeline. Nit pickers complaining over 1 FPS and sometimes the slower memory might be faster by 1 FPS as the particles in the scene at that time might be slightly arraigned more efficiently by chance. It really is down to that factor. DDR 6 is newer than DDR 5 but some DDR5 performs about the same as some DDR6. Their holding mathematical figures and numbers for the GPU to process. It is millisecond differences that give a 1 FPS to 2 FPS difference sometimes. Most of the time they are the same resulting output.
We even used DDR4 2400 memory because the same results with those tests. The 3200 showed a 2 - 4 FPS difference than the 2400 memory. We could buy 64 Gig of 2400 instead of the 32 Gig of 3200 memory. More Memory means more Multitasking at the same time and having larger 22K sized 3D maps in a game with tutorial videos playing on Asset reviews. FPS is more about the graphics Processor and Pipeline structure and the efficiency design of the game. GPU Instancing, Sector Streaming, Particle Emitter variations and Baked Mesh or Baked Lighting all play a larger roll in better FPS than DDR5 to DDR6 memory. The advert is a Typo, but the cards perform the same.
