Customers are saying
Customers find value in the engaging gameplay and nostalgic elements of Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!, particularly enjoying the innovative Poké Ball Plus controller. Many appreciate the game's ease of use and consider it fun for players of all ages, although some find the price point a bit high and the Poké Ball Plus somewhat small. The simplified catching mechanics are a point of contention for some, while others wish for a more challenging experience. Overall, the game is praised for its charming remake of a classic, but opinions vary on certain aspects of the design and price.

Nostalgia Trip
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't played a Pokemon game since yellow on the GBA. Having a switch and seeing the functionality with Pokemon Go got me excited about the game. I was on the fence about the Poke Ball Plus but am so glad I made the purchase. The ability to level up a Pokemon and have something work with Pokemon Go has made me very happy with the value I received. The game itself was very enjoyable and many of the changes that had me hesitant were welcome changes. I would definitely recommend this game to any Pokemon fan who wants to get back in the series.

Wonderful intro to Pokemon
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great reimagining of the classic Pokémon R/B/Y from Gameboy. This game combines the excellent graphics that only a Nintendo switch can achieve with a tested game formula developed by GameFreak when Pokemon Yellow was released on Gameboy. The biggest change to the original game is the integration of the catch and experience mechanic developed for Pokemon Go which might be welcomed by longtime series fans but makes the game easy to approach for a newer generation of Pokemon players. A must buy for your Nintendo Switch game collection

Pokemon's debut on Switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll preface my review by stating that I haven't played many Pokemon games. I owned Omega Ruby on 3DS but hadn't played more than maybe 40 hours. That said I have played Pokemon Go some, and have watched a good share of the television series back to the originals. I have really enjoyed playing Let's Go Pikachu and am about maybe 20 hours in going through the main story as well as trying to catch rare and shiny Pokemon. I'm a big fan of a few new mechanics like Pokemon encounters and even the new catching mechanic. I have played mostly with the Pokeball Plus, but have put less but equal time into using a single joy-con and in handheld mode. The easiest method is handheld mode as catching requires motion controls and if you just hold still it's more just timing when to throw a pokeball. A single joy-con is pretty easy, but the pokeball controller almost feels "more natural" (if such a thing can be said). I would have loved to have option to use my Pro controller, but to me it's okay that's not an option, hopefully it is in the next game. The catching mechanic is easier than in past games, but it's not perfect, occasionally the motion controls don't work as intended but largely aren't a problem. The game looks beautiful in my eyes as it's the best iteration of Kanto I have ever seen in game and looks like the anime would have you believe the game should look. I have used the Pokeball with the game beautifully, but I'm still having major issues connecting it to Pokemon Go I will have to work out. I have transferred a few Pokemon from Go to Let's Go and it's easy enough. It doesn't break the game as you can't do it until later in the game anyway. Most Pokemon you will find in the game without too much effort, though there are a few that will test your resolve to catch them all. I can easily recommend the base game, it's well worth playing. The Pokeball Plus is a little more difficult to recommend. If you tie the game into Pokemon Go it can have an added benefit of collecting Pokestops and chance of catching Pokemon but without Go you can still walk and level up your Pokemon helping you level up Pokemon even when not actively playing the game which makes it worthy of ownership in my mind.

Very casual Pokémon game, great for newcomers.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is great to introduce Pokémon to people who’ve never played the main line games before. The capturing mechanic is actually pretty immersive and once you get the hang of it, it’s not as bad as people make it out to be. Pokeball plus is definitely a highlight and makes the game more immersive and acts as a poke walker of old and poke plus for Pokémon Go. It may not have the deep mechanics as other games, but it definitely can get people into the game and even play coop for the first time, which is just fantastic.

Fun reimagining mostly targeting kids & nostalgia
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall fun and full of nostalgia revisiting the original classic, reimagined for today. The Pokemon Go style capture mechanic gets a bit old fast, but is well suited for younger players and couch coop fun. Don't expect a challenging RPG like the main series. The controller is gimmicky, but likely to make younger players feel more immersed in the experience (and of course likely to appeal to collectors). The pikachu edition is the way to go to relive the original yellow edition or feel like embodying Ash from the show.

Fun game for Pokemon lovers
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Pokeball is a huge positive for this game since you can sync it to your phone when you play Pokemon Go. I gave it four stars though because of the price. I know it just came out but I do think it is a bit high especially since many children like it.

Pokemon Go 2: A True Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a perfect blend of the modern Pokemon Go catching mechanic inserted into the classic franchise formula. If you have ever played the Red, Blue or Yellow versions of Pokemon then this will be a nostalgia trip with quite a few new moments. The catching mechanic is a great addition in place of the old combat system for wild Pokemon, but the combat for trainers is still here and plenty of fun. And the Pokeball controller is perfect for this game. I thought this would be bland, but ended up being very fun.

Best play mechanics & most fun of the franchise!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok. I played Yellow and Sun. My son has played them all. So, when both of us agree, "these pokeball mechanics are the best addition to the franchise... ever," I have to put it in the review. You dont need the pokeball to fully enjoy the game but it is like the best icing and cherry on top. It is worth the extra purchase. I however play on handheld mode the majority of the time. Easier to throw the balls accurately. We seriously hope they keep this mechanic in the new core game dropping next year.

Adorable! Duh. It's Pikachu!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Perfect for any age. Beautiful graphics. Interaction with Pikachu is very cute and feels personal, if you love Pokémon. The game actual does increase in difficulty as you progress. Somewhat easy to "beat the game", but there is plenty to continue with after that. The Pokéball itself looks tiny, but fits well even in a larger hand. Rubbery coating on the ball makes it easy to hold onto. The ball itself is interactive, as it holds Pikachu. Purchased for my 17-yr-old son. He loves it!!

Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had my reservations about this game, but it turned out great! If you're just focusing on the story, you'll have about 30-40 hours of game play. The Poke Ball Plus acts as a Pokemon GO Plus that will auto-spin PokeStops in Pokemon GO while getting experience and items in Pokemon Let's Go. This is a perfect game to get back into Pokemon if you haven't played since the first couple of games and introduces all the quality of life improvements from the later games. Highly recommended!

Great Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As an older gamer who never played Pokemon but always wanted to get into it, this is an amazing game. It combines the mechanics to catch Pokemon from the mobile game Pokemon Go, but still has many many classic battles with other Pokemon trainers you'll come across. So it's truly a merging of the past and present, and I hope the series will stay the same going forward. The only downside to this bundle is the ball. it's gimmicky and you'll likely soon find yourself not using it.
