I've enjoyed my playthrough of Pokémon Z-A. I've been a long time fan of Pokémon. The new mechanics were a good shake up of the old battle system. My main complaint would be I miss being able to travel through a whole region instead of just one big map. Otherwise, I would recommend this game to other Pokémon fans.

Even though the battle mechanics are different, it’s refreshing to see something new that was inspired by Arceus and Scralet/Violet. The filling in the Poké Dex is still fun with old and new Mega Evolutions! Also the story is enjoyable with references of the previous Pokemons games (character & lore)!

As a Pokemon fan of many years, I was skeptical about this style of game. I did not play the previous Legends game, but the vast character customization options (and therefore the ability to design your character like a gym leader) was honestly the reason I decided to give this game a chance. I was pleasantly surprised! The mechanics are fun. Different, but fun. I’d say it’s one of the easier games in the series, but there is so much to do in the game that I didn’t run out of objectives or tire of catching Pokemon. The “calming rogue mega evolution pokemon” plot was a little reminiscent of the old Pokemon Colosseum game.
Pros: Multiple side quests, fun story, mega-evolutions, extensive character customization, shiny pokemon are easier to find and more common, alpha pokemon are challenging and fun to collect
Cons: Graphics are underwhelming, the “wild zones” aren’t big enough, the map as a whole could have been a lot bigger than one singular city, some mega evolutions locked behind DLC.

Not at all what I was expecting it to be, but certainly worth it! The new battle system is great and the story is wonderful.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A is one of the boldest entries in the series. The real-time battle system is a huge step forward and makes fights feel more alive than ever. The story and music are great!!

The game itself is fun. I’m really enjoying the battling in this one. My main critique is I wish the environment itself was better and not as flat. Would also prefer the Pokémon just running around. The wild zones feel pretty small and lackluster.

I really do like the game. I feel like it is a step back if you did play Legends Arceus or Scarlett and Violet. The graphics are not that great, although some of the elements are still good, and the storyline is pretty solid.

This game is really fun for Pokemon fans. It plays really well on the switch 1. However, some parts are boring and tedious. The game is really easy, though the boss battles offer a good challenge.

I am dissapointed by the graphics, but it does run well on my first revision Switch 1. It's fun and different enough to keep me interested. Was my dream as a kid to have a "real-time" Pokemon game so it would be more like the anime :)

The real-time combat system is a bold step for the series: battles feel more dynamic, with the player and Pokémon acting simultaneously rather than a purely turn-based menu system.
• The game takes place in the familiar region of Kalos (specifically in Lumiose City), which brings a nostalgic value for long-time fans while introducing fresh mechanics.
• Sales are strong: the game sold approximately 5.8 million copies in its first week, showing there is still strong demand for Pokémon titles.
• There is a clear intent to build on the spin-off “Legends” sub-series (after Pokémon Legends: Arceus) and experiment with the formula.

I'll start by acknowledging this game may not be technically perfect
But you can get a cup of coffee with Aron and I think that makes it basically perfect.
The battle system is fun and engaging, there's a solid level of challenge compared to other games. There's an incredible degree of love and detail in the pokemon animations, movements, expressions. The fashion customization is a delight the cast of characters and dialogue is genuinely hilarious and really well done.
Anyone who loves pokemon would enjoy this game overall, and I've already sunk 100 hours into it. It's fun, plain and simple.

A lot of pokemon cool battels and the ranking system is cool and you can heal in a battle and looks really beautiful and the wild zones are really cool and you can knock out a Pokemon with a super effective move in one hit and it is not that cool when you knock out a Pokemon and you go two catch it and it doesn’t go in then it disappears and you have two knock out a nother one but really fun and can’t wait for the next one

Brilliant take on the Pokémon game series. Real-time battles, and MEGA Pokémon make it better than a lot of recent entries to the series. I do recommend.
