It was a solid cute game that my girlfriend played the crap out of. This was our first Pokémon game since the game boy advanced days. I didn’t remember how annoying hitting every Pokémon in the bushes was. But we still had lots of fun and now the bush Pokémon are just part of our memories.

I enjoy Pokemon, but I hate the gameplay style

I am not an avid game player, but I am trying to get into video games, given that I've graduated from college and I have "more" time to spare than I would like. I usually would occupy my time with books and academic research, but I decided to take up video games, given that I've saturated and exhausted all the films that I'm favorable of. As for the video game style, I would say that there is astronomical potential for the Pokemon series, given that the Pokemon franchise is one of the most popular and iconic of all cartoon franchises. I hope that they can surpass the generic gameplay style that has been standard for God knows how long... beginning of video games. There definitely needs to be something else. At least a better experience, because this style of video gameplay, is completely slavery.

Perfect for kids 5-9, but pretty vacant feeling

Pretty shallow game with adequate graphics and a nice but honestly unmemorable art direction. If this is a kid's first, it's pretty rad. But for anyone else, it's pretty dry and strangely vacant feeling. Even if you're a DIEHARD fan of the series, I cannot imagine yo not getting bored after like 3-5 hrs.
