Customers appreciate the fun, easy gameplay and the nostalgic elements of Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!. Many found the game simple to pick up and enjoy, with positive comments on the story and overall entertainment value. However, some players found the game too easy and the motion controls somewhat challenging. Concerns were also raised regarding the leveling-up system and the catching mechanics.

Great game! My bf and I both love it (we are 28 and 29). We also bought the Pokeball Plus, which connects to this game and to Pokémon Go. We both send our pokémon from Pokémon Go on our phones to the Lets Go Pikachu game, and we can catch them and play with them in the switch game. The pokémon go game gets us outside in the yard and woods walking around, then at night we'll settle in to move the pokémon we caught in the woods to the Lets Go switch game. We can also both play this game together. When there are hard battles, we can ask the other to jump in and help. Its all very fun, this game in conjunction with Pokemon GO has been a great activity in our relationship. Thanks Best buy!

    Great Remake

Entertaining remake of Pokémon Yellow. The world (cities, gyms, plot, etc) are all the same as you love and remember, but a few things have thankfully been updated. The best change is that you can see the wild Pokémon before you battle them, allowing you to bypass some and turn around for rare spawns. The method to train and catch new Pokémon is different. There are no wild battles; it is closer to Pokémon Go where it is based on the catching throw itself with points given to all Pokémon on your team at a time. Leveling up is incredibly easy in this remake and the pain of needing to start training from scratch for Pokémon caught later in the game is finally remedied. Overall very fun game both solo and with a second player

So, my kid was the one that grew up playing Pokémon games on Gameboy. I remember watching the anime and collecting some of the merch when it first came to the states, but I never played any of the games before (except Pokémon Go on my phone). I always really loved Pokémon and catching them on my phone, so when I got a Switch I knew this was going to be my first game! I really enjoy this game and finally feel like I haven't missed out on the Pokémon experience! My understanding is Let's Go Pikachu is basically Pokémon Yellow, which suits me just fine as Pikachu is one of my faves! I am not going to do a big review of the game on here, but I can tell you if you like Pokémon, you will have fun!

    Remaster of Pokémon Yellow

Fun game, I have let's go Eevee, so this completes my collection of Pokémon games on the Switch (have sword/shield also). I remember playing Pokémon Yellow when it first released, this game along with let's go eevee is a remaster of that game. It's still fun all these years later, and it's nice to see all of the original Pokémon brought to life with modern graphics. This game will take many back to their childhoods. Highly enjoyable and I recommend it to anyone who is a fan of the Pokémon games. Only part I don't like is not being able to use my Switch pro controller when the Switch is docked, but that's a minor inconvenience just use the pokeball controller or a single joycon.

The last time I played Pokémon it was back in 2000 on my copy of Yellow. I loved everything about the game except for how easy it was compared to games like Final Fantasy at the time. Nonetheless the whole idea of Pokémon resonated with me and I was hooked. After playing for awhile, I’ll get this major issue out of the way first... You have to play the game with a single Joy Con. There’s no way around it, you’re forced to play that way and while I understand why it still sucks to not have a choice. Also, there are motion mechanics built in that mirror Pokémon GO. Some people won’t kind it and some will but for the most part of say they did a good job making it easy to play. You can dress your Pokémon up with accessories, have them follow you or (this is my favorite) you can mount and ride certain ones around town. Galloping across town on the back of an Arcanine was one of my stand out memories. If you’re a Pokémon fan and yearn for the roster that started it all then you’ll find a lot to love with this game. And if you’re a parent looking for something for your child to play with you then the co op mechanic is wonderful.

Kids love the game. Throwback to the original Pokemon games when they first came out on game boy. Easy for the kids to understand and they enjoy catching all the different Pokémon.

The graphics was great and I like how easy it is to play the game. I purchased this as well primarily for the perks (re: mystery box) that I can use in PokemonGo to catch more Meltan which I needed to evolve.

I love playing with this game. I bought this for my friend, and we fall in love with this game. It’s too much fun like the old games of Pokemon. It remains me of the first three seasons of Pokemon.

My 6 year old son LOVES Pokemon, so naturally, when he got a switch for his birthday, this was the first game we bought him; he loves it, and I love that he can now read through the wonders of public education, so I don't have to read every line of dialogue. The controls are easy, and he loves catching Pokemon. Battles are simplistic, and the story seems on par with any other type of Pokemon story that's been in previous games/tv shows/movies, etc. Graphics are great, and the ability to take this on the go is fantastic. You also have several control options, depending on your style or the type of play (on tv vs handheld, etc.). I would definitely recommend.

I bought this for my niece. As someone who's been playing Pokemon for over a decade and am into the competetive scene, I wasn't interested in let's go at all. That said, my niece, who adores pikachu, certainly loved it. I got to sit down and help her out, playing through a game I've played through many times already, but rather than being about the game it was about her, and she had a lot of fun. I can't recommend it to players like me, but if you know a young one who likes Pokemon and you want to get them into it, well then, this experience is for them. And that's okay. This game may not be meant for hardcore players, it's meant for those getting into the series.

I am very impressed with Let's Go Eevee/Pikachu. It is more or less Pokemon Yellow that has been updated with modern graphics and a few quality of life adjustments. Team Rocket now appears in the game to guide a new player on where they should probably go next. You can get what use to be limited items like fossils multiple times after beating the elite four. The only thing I am still unsure about is the catching mechanic. I do miss fighting the random pokemon and weakening them down to just a sliver of health before catching them. On the other hand, it is a lot nicer to just be able to throw a ball and avoid the overkill situation of a rare pokemon.

This is the first Pokemon game I've played since FireRed and LeafGreen. I tried getting into the 3DS titles, but just felt overwhelmed by the amount of Pokemon and features available. I decided to pick this game up to try and reignite my love of Pokemon games and it's definitely working! Yeah it's much more simplified than previous releases, but I don't mind at all. I do miss being able to battle wild Pokemon and then catching them. I love that you can see the wild Pokemon walking around in the grass and need to approach them in order to initiate an encounter. It also looks gorgeous. Can't wait for the next main title to release!
