This was a gift for my youngest child. My older two children both also played the game-but the older version from 2003. They were excited to see the quality of the newer version and to play it...and perhaps soon the one I bought it for will get his chance to play with it. It's a quality Pokemon game for anyone of any age that has a love of Pokemon.

Pokemon has evolved a lot since Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire first released years ago. Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire managed to keep in tact the mechanics that has made the past games great while including all 700+ Pokemon out now, not just the 387 that were in the original Ruby and Sapphire versions. They also added in the Global Trade Center so you can trade with anyone at any time from anywhere in the world! And the nice thing about these games is anyone can start playing at any time, it'll be great for long time players and new alike. And Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are very similar to one another, with minor story differences and different Pokemon you can encounter in game makes both games worth picking up.

It is a reminder of how far pokemon games have come from a story telling standpoint with the first generation of games to the third generation that this remake is based off of. It definitely is the premier pokemon game to date with all the added bells and whistles that you would expected with the most recent generation of pokemon.

I havent bought a pokemon game in years. I am very pleased whith this game and will be purchasing the other versions as well. I dont play my DS to often. But i bring it out to play with my nephews. Brings back nostalgia from the older versions, and definitely a bit more complicated than the old games. but over all very enjoyable.

The original ruby was great, as with every Pokemon game for the Nintendo handheld console (at that time). Omega Ruby is revamped with better graphics to immerse yourself into the Pokemon world. The last Pokemon game I played actually happens to be the original ruby, and I am glad I decided to buy this one again. Still great!

Pokemon games are the best. Endless fun. These were my drug back in the day with Pokemon Red/Blue. Now that i'm older, i'll have to admit that i don't have that same satisfying feeling i did with the old games, but nonetheless to be playing a pokemon just bring back some really great memories. It's a very nostalgic game and pure FUN.

I've been playing Pokemon since the red and blue versions on the Gameboy and have thoroughly enjoyed every iteration. Omega Ruby is no exception. It is a great game that is fun to relax with. The environments look great and the only negative is that the 3D effects only work during Pokemon battles, which tend to drop frames.

This Pokemon DS game doesn't disappoint. It provides totally new challenges, Pokémon battles, and hours of fun. As soon as my daughter got this game she started playing it until she finished. Even after finishing the game, you can repeat battles and play new ones. My daughter loves this game! I highly recommend it.

The game on gba came out many years ago and has had a special place in many peoples hearts, and seeing it in glorious 3D is a treat for any pokemon fan that holds the original dear. Plus it brings the new mechanics to freshen up the expreince.

I sank almost 300 hours into the Sapphire Version back when it first came out. I decided to get Ruby this time and I love the remake. The story line is pretty much the same with new game mechanics and mega evolution introduced into it. If you played Pokemon X or Y and liked it, you'll love to play this one too.

I have not played any Pokémon games recently and this game far exceeded my expectations. It was very enjoyable to play and I was pleasantly surprised that they took away a lot of the redundant actions in the older games in the series. Definitely a must-have game if you're a fan.

Is a lot shorter than most Pokemon games but very still very enjoyable. You can still choose the standard three types of Pokemon when you start your adventure and do your 8 gyms and face the Elite four. After that it's up to you to finish the game find the secrets or finish your pokedex

If you played the original ruby or sapphire, I think you will be very happy with this game. Contains a lot of what we have come to love from Pokemon games. Not only does it contain the best elements from the past, but it puts a new twist on them using some of the newer features of gen VI.

Everything from the original and tons more content added plus the rebuffed graphics make it look great

With every new pokemon game since X/Y I feel like they brought back that desire to play pokemon again! I haven't felt this way since Red/Bue/Yellow/Gold/Silver which is awesome :) Keep it up Nintendo :) Looking forward to X2 and Y2! If you liked X and Y you'll like this.
