Solid game without any bells and whistles. If you are wanting to re-live the original experience, you’ll enjoy this game. If you are looking for an enhanced version with new content, you might be disappointed.

So far a very good remake. This game keeps to the same artistic style as the original games, while improving graphics, user friendliness, and overall compatibility. I am only about half way through the game, but have spent roughly 30 hours enjoying it. There is hours of additional playtime through the improved Sinnoh underground exploration. Definitely a good gift for any child or child at heart.

Diamond and Pearl have been my favorite games in the franchise ever since I first played them, and I loved getting a chance to play them with better visuals and on my TV. The underground has been improved massively, which is awesome because that was my favorite thing about the originals. Highly recommended for anyone who loved Diamond and Pearl growing up.

I feel like the game is too easy until you reach the Elite 4 and especially Cynthia. The game goes from very easy to very hard at Cynthia. Overall it was a fun game and brought back good memories!

Great game! I haven't played this game in a long time. The underground is also better than the last one. Recommended.

I'm fan of its series, the gameplay brought back some nostalgia feels of older hardcore type of game, which I was missing in some of its latest releases of pokemon, AND it is 1000% better than sword and shield for those, who hated the game for its obnoxious Dynamax battle and for its region and left a bad taste to play pokemon again, trust me its better in this one.

Great remake of the originals for the switch. A lot of fun.

As someone who played the originals on the DS as a kid, I think the game did its purpose and brought back a lot of nostalgia to those who played the game before. I think they did a good job in adding some quality of life changes like not having to have pokemon specifically for hm moves, but the graphics of this game are not the best that they could be. The forced exp share on your whole team kind of sucks but I get that they did it for newcomers into the pokemon franchise. The game was fun for sure, but the price makes you expect more for a remake on a $40 game which now cost $60.

Decent remake. Doesnt evolve the pokemon formula, but it is fine for what it is. Its worth if if you grew up with Diamond/Pearl to revisit the game

I'm so glad that Nintendo remade this, as it was the only mainline game I never got to experience. While not everyone will love the art-style, it is still a very fun game that holds up well. While the initial Pokedex isn't fantastic, it is a classic experience that can be beaten in about 20 hours if you don't overextend. I appreciate a game that embodies brevity these days.

I've been playing these Pokemon games since the late '90s on a Game Boy lol, and they just keep getting better. Is it basically the same idea? Yes...travel around, collect Pokemon, battle other folks. But the improvements to graphics and gameplay (e.g. ingame menus, etc.) are fantastic!

The game was really fun, it was very loyal to the original in every way but with much better graphics, a lot of people complain about the chibi style but I feel like it really aided the experience with the nostalgia from the DS

Extremely nostalgic. Sinnoh region was my first region and introduction for my love for Pokemon. P.S. Do not preorder at Best Buy because it will not arrive at all. Best to pick it up or find it in-store.

I got this game for the nostalgia of the DS version. Lived up to my expectations and exceeded them. The game is like I remember but has the feeling and graphics of a modern pokemon game. Good game, I would recommend buying on sale because $60 is a lot for a game that was originally around $30.

My kid wanted to play Pokemon, and this game delivers. It's a refresh of an older title, but at 30% off, we don't mind.

Art style preserves the feel of the original game while feeling new and fresh. If youve played one of these you’ve played them all to some extent. This happens to be one of the better Pokémon games I’ve picked up in recent years.
