Yes, half of the pokemon aren’t in the game, but I’m really enjoying the wild area raids and all of the new pokemon so much, that it’s not really noticeable, especially since you usually can’t catch everything in these games anyways. Only downside to this game is the you sometimes get frame rate drops in the wild area, and the game is still super easy despite them letting you skip the tutorials for the first time ever.

The game play and new Pokemon are amazing! I highly recommend this game. Ignore bad critics.

Glad they sold these as a double pack. Makes things a little easier. I usually buy both games for me and my partner. The game is pretty good. Better than Sun/Moon in my opinion. Better Pokemon designs, again, in my opinion. The story was okay. Not a huge fan of the Dynamax gimmick because that's what it is, a gimmick. Maybe my age is showing but I feel the game is just missing something that I personally feel the games lost since moving away from the 2D style. Overall though, a solid entry in the Pokemon series and I think a step in an interesting direction.

If you have played Pokemon before then you know what you are getting into. Game play is still on point but they did add just enough to keep this fresh even if it does not include all the Pokemon from previous gens. As long as you can get over not having every Pokemon in this game then this is a must buy. This double pack is great and saves a few bucks if you wanna include a friend on your Pokemon journey.

I have played Pokémon since about 1998. Great purchase for a double pack of the game with an added bonus of a collectors coin. I bought this so my partner could have one game and I got the other. It is a great game with DLC so the fun never ends and I still play it occasionally. I pumped over 120 hours within the first few weeks of having it.

I haven’t played a Pokémon game since the game boy era and these were great ones to jump back in on. Easy to pick up and play out of the box - even for kids. The visuals aren’t amazing and there are sometimes technical hiccups- but that does not take away from the overall experience. Whether you have played any Pokémon before, or are looking for a place to start, pick one (or both) of these games up.

I have been playing Pokémon since I was a young lad. Before this the last one I was able to play was black and white on the DS. I got a switch and got this. My first open word Pokémon game is great. The ability to play with friends makes it even better. I wish people could play together though the entirety of the game not just in one area though.

Here is the eternal Pokemon debate: Red or Blue; Black or White; Let's go Pikachu or Evee; and now Sword or Shield. This pack helps decide by giving you BOTH. My son will be thrilled he gets both games for Christmas. As for gameplay, i hear mixed reports and I can't say yet because it is a Christmas present but this is for an 8yo who LOVES Pokemon, so he is going to LOVE the game.

While this game does have it's flaws and complaints from hardcore Pokemon fans, it's a decent game overall. The open-world concept in the Wild Areas is a nice, new feature and I found myself spending the most time here during my playthrough. Visually I thought this game had a nice art style, but with some minor issues. I would recommend this game to people new to their journey in the world of Pokemon more so than older fans of the game franchise.

So unless you have been living under a rock for over 20 years, then you should be familiar with the premise of Pocket Monsters. What this latest version offers is rather unique though- it has reformulated it's exploration formula and the discovered species changes day to day. So this along with new online features mean that every player will have a unique experience playing.

I've been a fan of this series since 1998, and through all those games this one by far has really great story telling, world building and characterization. The gameplay is what most Pokémon fans are used to from the main series games. If you are a Pokémon fan please pick up this game and give it a chance and if you are a newcomer to Pokémon this is a great place to start.

Really enjoying the game so far. I’m also very impressed visually with the game. The game play itself looks great. In game I am disappointed with how difficult they made filling the Pokédex. You will definitely need multiple friends with both versions of the game if you are going to fill the Pokédex. Otherwise it is a fantastic game and would recommend for all ages.

Really fun game if you're a fan of the series. Easy to learn if you're a new player. Same concept as the previous 20 years just with updated graphics.

This was the first ever Pokemon game I have ever purchased, I must admit, I was disappointed that each game is pretty much the same game but with slightly different pokemon in them. each game is its own game, meaning that if you start one , the character and caught pokemon dont carry over to the other. In that sense, the game if kind of a rip. fun game though.

The game improves on graphics, story telling and environments from previous installments. It lacks in options, combat gameplay, and difficulty.

The graphics and great! It's really nice to finally have Pokemon on the home console. My one gripe is the previous games had more Pokemon to collect and more features, but it's impossible to expect them to bring everything from the previous gens over to this one. It's still the same addictive fun Pokemon has always been. I am having a blast with it!

Kids seem to like it Has good graphics and looks easy to play.

It has a great story. Wonderful graphics. The coin is awsome.
