I wasn't sure what to think about the game but I'm having fun with it it's been a long time since I've played a Pokemon game since gen 1 and 3 were the only ones I played the rest I have no idea who these new Pokemon were all and all I like it

I was skeptical preordering this game but don't regret it one bit. There feels like there is a lot of content within the game and with the new dlcs coming out hopefully there is even more to do. Never a full moment trying to catch em all.

The amount things to do in the game has doubled compared to the last time i played pokemon. The graphics look very good and are far better than some of my favorite switch games. The giant pokemon mode is wicked awesome like a Godzilla fight where you make the decisions. The map is super diverse in terrains it was very fun traveling through it and the gym battles are exquisite!

If you were looking for a true Pokemon experience on the Nintendo Switch - Sword & Shield are the games you want. The dual pack is a great way to share the other copy with a friend or family member and play through the experience together!

I've always loved the Pokemon games, and this one does not disappoint. The new region is awesome, graphics awesome as well. Some of the new Pokemon are a little weird (looking at you, Meowth), but I love all of the new takes on this game.

Got the double pack to share with my sibling. Awesome game overall. Graphics are a big upgrade from before and the game just keeps on going. A lot of post-game content and replay value, especially with the new expansion coming out

Coming from an older generation of pokemon games, this new generation definitely brings a lot interesting mechanics and better graphics. Definitely worth getting if you are pokemon fan or simply getting it for your kids or nephew/niece.

Highly recommend these games if you have a Pokemon fan! My boys are 18 and 12 and this has been there top played Switch game since they got it. They got them early because they couldn't wait until Christmas. Definitely games to buy1

The storyline is actually very smooth. As for deleting some Pokémon’s, well I never caught them all, so it doesn’t really matters to me. The first generation only has 151 Pokémon’s , but it was still an excellent game. Don’t have biases.

I enjoy all the new features like the wild area and camping. The new roster and Galarian versions of Pokémon are nice. There are some areas that could be edited from the game altogether. I have mixed feelings about the dlc. I am happy that more content will be available but disappointed I have to keep paying more and more and more money to play a game I already paid for.

I haven't played a Pokemon game in years so I can't speak to the mechanics as groundbreaking or not. This felt like a nice solid entry that reminded me of fond memories of Pokemon with decent modernizations.

These games are not the most revolutionary for the series but there are quite a few changes that improve the experience. While the Dex cut doesn't quite seem fully justified. ,I can see the potential in this games future. Overall These are pokemon games and should only be looked at as that. It is what you expect from a Pokemon experience. A good time with a new region.

I have always loved Pokémon. We bought a second switch so we could play these together. I haven’t played then expansions, but I want to go back and play them. We had a lot of fun spent many hours playing

So far the game play on the SWORD one is amazing i gifted shield to a friend. This is everything that has been wanted pretty classic game play but with updated graphics. plus love all the new pokemon as well as the old pokemon.

The Pokemon series is a classic at this point. This new entry is the first mainline on a home console, though the Switch is both home console and handheld. The graphics are wonderful and perfectly stylized.

The game is pretty great and my main complaint is the new y-comm online communication system. I live in a rural area and as such my only available internet is NAT type D/strict NAT. This means I can rarely ever connect with actual real life people, including people I actually know, and because you can now only trade in real time & can’t request a specific Pokémon trading is terrible regardless of NAT type. I mean, while I have trouble connecting in order to trade when I do succeed they rarely have the Pokémon I’m looking for or offer it to trade as they don’t know what I’m looking for. Smh I get that in the past people made ridiculous trade requests yet it was still more convenient when looking for version exclusives. The NAT type is an issue with my internet but it’s a major pain that I can’t compete in high tier raids, which is something I enjoy, because the NPCs are too weak and I can’t connect with real people. My internet isn’t fast but I’ve played online with it before so I’d think they’re be some way to connect with real people even with my NAT type or I wish the NPCs would be programmed to be more helpful. Overall I’d give this game a 9/10 as it’s immersive, fun, and has introduced some changes while keeping the core dynamics that we all love.

I’ve really struggled to stay interested in a poke game for the last several generations long enough to finish it. This is enough of a change to be able to keep my attention. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed playing through this.

Wow this game is loads of fun probably the best overall Pokemon game I've played and trust me I have played all of them multiple times. Makes me feel like a kid again and I loved it all the way through. Sad that it ended.

This is one of the best pokemon games i have play. Ive been a fan of pokemon for years and this game is the best they have made i love how you can see more pokemons and is easier to find them highly recommended.
