I bought this game a little late but I absolutely love playing this on the go! I know a lot of Pokémon Purists don’t enjoy too many of the design choices, but overall it’s a fun game

good game to pass time. highly addictive 7/10 gets boring after a while but Brough back memories from my childhood

I’ve played nearly every mainline Pokémon game since Red/Blue/Yellow and with the exception of HeartGold/Soul Silver (and its original iterations), Sword/Shield is by far one of my favorites. The gameplay changes felt like just the reinvigoration the franchise needed at the time without deviating from its standard formula too much. Being able to play Pokémon on the big screen for the first time since the Gale of Darkness days on the Gamecube was amazing. 10/10

This game is absolutely incredible. Even without every Pokémon available, you are always encountering something new. It’s what I dreamed about playing as a kid when playing the original Pokémon red on a gameboy. The only downfall is that they seemed to attempt to make this a story driven game and it just seems like a giant tutorial from beginning to end. You have a cut scene, go a few steps, and another cutscene. Great for young kids who may struggle understanding what’s going on, but tedious after a while for anyone who is a teenager or older. The wild area let’s you get away from that though if you start to get bored with the story. There’s so many Pokémon to catch, and the raids are fun too. I kept finding myself coming back over and over. The positives greatly outweigh the negatives, so I would highly recommend this game.

In 3 days I put 10 hours into this game. So much fun and very addictive. Super easy to jump into, and is a must own for switch owners.

Been a Pokémon fan since the beginning. This is a great game in the franchise, the graphics are really good and the story is original.

Pokemon is the best! Sonmuch fun and I love the open world feel. The story line is really good and the graphics are amazing!

Sword&Shield imo, has a decent storyline that includes lots on NPC interaction, the pokémon catching and battling systems are smooth and add nice new features, including interesting ‘battle challenges’ in gyms which...some are cool and fun while some are just boring. I personally have put more time in Sword than Pokémon Let’s Go due to the refreshing gameplay and new story, and the fact there’s WAY more to do and more pokémon to catch, 250 more to be exact with more included with DLC add on’s.

Yet another solid Pokemon game. No complaints other than the perennial need to have access to both versions to fill your game to 100% but that's been a known deal since their inception so hard to complain. This was the non-dlc version so to get the 2019/2020 island add-ons you still have to pay more so just be aware of that since there are versions that include the dlc in the (higher) price. Through the main game and 350+/4XX pokedex completion as of this writing.

Really fun game. Pokemon games are not terribly difficult so that kids can play and have fun

I always enjoy playing Pokemon. I've been playing Pokemon since 1998 but I haven't really played the newer ones because work and being a parent took over my life. I decided to buy this game to play it during my spare time and it brought back a lot of memories as a child playing this game. Honestly, I started planning out my whole week and I make sure I have time to play. I haven't even let my daughters play it because I want to play it first before they can get a turn lol

Really like the improvements to the gameplay this generation.

I bought this game for my cousin for Christmas. He's in his mid-twenty's and is an alt-right goon now, but I want to go back to the days where he was a wide-eyed little boy playing all the games I was. I haven't played a Pokemon game since X/Y and he's way too into games like Dead by Daylight and Friday the 13th. I don't know what to do, but I'm unemployed now and won't be buying him anything this year unless he gathers a really cool party of Pokemon in this game.

I am 24 years of age and let me say I always was ehhh on going back to Pokémon games but this one right here let me tell you it’s amazing!!! I am so hooked on the game that brings back my childhood memories for the love of Pokémon! I recently purchased the DLC as well and after passing the game being able to see a lot of Pokémon from my childhood come out the second I stepped into the dlc part I felt so heart warming that the Pokémon from way back then still played a part!!! Must buy!!!

This is the third Pokémon Sword game purchase in my house. We battle against each other via multiplayer in the different switch consoles. Lots of family fun. Definitely recommended.

My 11 year old loves this game and anything Mario. Glad I was able to get it during Christmas at a good price.

In the beginning before yu gi oh, digimon, beyblades, and bakugan....we had pocket monsters (pokemon). In the newest installment of this fan favorite series, you'll be able to catch, battle & even trade those pocket monsters. The story is ok nothing to walk home aboot, the gameplay is also decent unless you're not into turn base battles. But where this game really shines on, is the animation of the characters as well as the graphic look and...and not to mention but I think this is the bests game ever Designed.
