Just finished completing the Pokedex, it's a great game and you're gonna have fun playing. The online functionality and menuing for trading honestly could be much better and is annoying to do at times but it technically works. The main story could feature more trainer battles but was overall enjoyable. Pokemon camp is a fun way to interact with your pokemon but I wish you could do just a little bit more with it. The curry cooking minigame feels forced and unnecessary but at least you don't have to do it much to fill the dex. I paid full price for this game and would say I got my moneys worth.

As someone who has not played a mainline Pokemon since GameBoy, I loved the quality of life improvements that have been made. This makes the game much more enjoyable for an adult who needs to drop in/drop out, as compared to the old grindy feel. Yes, the story is classic Pokemon ridiculous, but the gameplay loop of training your team is still immensely satisfying.

I unfortunately never had many consoles or money to play any pokemon game in the past, just an obscure pokemon ranger game i got as a gift like a decade ago. But now as an adult I can responsibly spend my money on a switch and games ;) This game is so fun and cute and I love raising my pokemon and getting to interact with them in camps!! If u love pokemon u wont regret this purchase!!

Very fun Game. it keeps you entertain for hours! It has a good story.

PK Sword maintains the PK formula with a new engine, gym challenges, new Pokémons, ease of shiny method hunting, etc. This is hands down the BEST Pokémon game to date! Whether you’re a veteran, a newcomer, etc., you’ll be hooked into playing Sword or Shield for HOURS. Recommend this game to anyone of any age, PK is long from being a dead series, they continue to innovate and improve.

New generation, great new ideas. DLC makes the story continue longer.

The series has had some struggles in recent years. Now sword and shield have arrived and it plays and feels like a true Pokemon adventure game. The updated graphics with the Switch are a welcome change and play is fluid and just plain fun. If you're new to the series, it is a great way to start. For us seasoned veterans, we have a great version to play for hours and hours of fun.

The graphics are great, the story is great and I like the new pokemon designs.

Best game ever! I really enjoy playing everyday single day

I have been a fan of the Pokemon games all the way back to the original Red and Blue versions. The games have come so far and have done so much to keep it feeling fresh and new, my one and only complaint about the game which really isn't much of an issue is that not all the Pokemon are available in the Sword and Shield games, hopefully the future DLC expansion packs fix this!

Great gift for the gamer in your life. Battery life, games, and resolution, are amazing. Getting started is as simple as it gets.

I have to say I love this game! I'm really enjoying taking my time with it!

Seeing how awesome the wild area is in Sword makes me hope this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to future Pokemon iterations. A fun game that gets a little slow at the end but still worth a playthrough for a Pokemon fan. Keep in mind this is the first entry without a national Pokedex which is a shame.

Got it to gift my niece. She is enjoying it and not too hard for her.

Wonderful game! Way better than Pokemon Sun and Moon. Love the wild area

As someone who has been playing since Gen 1, I can say that I do enjoy this game. Yes, they removed the nationaldex, but I do understand the time it takes to program and balance the now, over 1000 different species. Needless to say, the majority of my favorites have remained in game as they seem to still be emphasizing Gen 1. I recommend this game to any Pokemon fan.
