I can say this much, and hopefully it speaks in and of itself. I've dabbled with Pokemon since Yellow on the GBC years ago, I've never really been able to get in to it. I've tried to, maybe playing for an hour or two on various versions over the years on different platforms, but it would never really captivate me enough to stick with it. Since Pokemon Sword's release on Nov. 15th (four weeks ago), last I checked, I've already sunk ~145 hours into the game. I've had some serious gaming sessions in the past, but I don't think I've ever dumped so much time into a single game that quickly, ever. Take that for what it's worth. I've been playing every day, sometimes for such extended periods I've been shocked and embarrassed when I see how much time has passed, yet I'm planning on playing some more this evening. It's very fun, but don't be surprised if you lose entire days/evenings/nights playing!

Bought this for my son for a Christmas present and son loves the game

Despite much talk pre-launch about cuts to the Pokédex and smaller issues such as scaling, this game has stood out as the highest quality of life game in the series. Simple things such as easier menu operations and more technical aspects like manually adjusting individual stat values make this game feel nice for long-time players. The lack of difficulty throughout the main storyline took away from the excitement of becoming champion, but given that the majority of time spent in the games in this series is the post-game, I still consider this a must-buy if you are a fan of the franchise!

I haven’t played Pokémon in years. I was very happy with this release. The graphics are great and this is an all around good game

I really enjoyed this game despite some of the complaints some people had about how the full Pokedex isn't included. This didn't bother me but I could see where it might bother others who play the games differently. I've been playing Pokemon since Red and Blue and I had a lot of fun with this. It wasn't perfect but I smiled a lot while I was playing it, and that's a pretty good indicator.

Amazing pokemon game, bought this for a sealed copy

Found it on sale and decided to buy it and try it out. This game is great! It’s the first Pokémon game I play since Pokémon Gold and Silver and I forgot how great and fun they are! So much has changed since I last played and I’m loving it! Great story, great graphics, amazing fighting style and gameplay.

It's like reliving my childhood. This is the first open world Pokemon game and it is amazing. Love everything about it.
