Easy to learn how to play. Besides written instructions it offers you a way to watch a video to learn how to play. My son picked it up right away. Helped him with his math counting by tens and number recognition.

Honestly might be the best $20 I spent on my kid for Christmas. It literally walks you through a pre-scripted game to teach you the basics. Then you can shuffle up and go again. It’s been really fun sharing something I loved as a kid with my own kids.

Purchased this for my son to teach him how to play the TCG; both him and have plenty of battles. Watching him play reminds me of wheb i was a child where I to battled, traded, and collected pokemon.

This product is great comes with 3 decks and is awesome for new players learning the game. I am waiting for my boy to get a little bit older then we are gonna nreak this out and have a blast!

My grandson has been getting into Pokemon, so I figured that I needed to learn how to play. This is truly a learning academy. It walks you through playing the game, with a playing board and everything that you need to play. I found that some of my grandson's "rules" weren't exactly accurate, so the academy corrected that! He is now using the academy decks and substituting some of his own Pokemon cards. If you already know how to play Pokemon, you do not need this. But if you are a newbie, you will want this game.

One of the best learn devices out of the box for Pokemon TCG. Understandable by ages 5+ and autonomously used by 6+. Can keep a couple of kiddos in friendly competition for a decent duration.

A great way to get into the game. Walks you through step by step your first games and then gives a little hand up to the next level. Comes with a great hard board (think like a board game) and all the tokens you need to play!

Easy to pickup, setup, understand. My 8 year old and I jumped in and started playing and now we can play matches easy. Bought more cards and started the Pokémon journey together.

I enjoyed getting into this starter set with the kids. If you have never played the card game this is a great way to get into it. If you just collect cards- we got a few nice ones out of this box!
