I love that it doesn't use a watch battery, but instead charges with a USB cable. It tracks the route that I walk very precisely on the map. Shows not only how many calories I've burned, but what percentage of those calories were body fat. Seems to track my steps and my sleep pretty accurately as well. Its numerous features are very customizeable. It is rather bulky for a woman to wear. Sometimes has trouble uploading my workouts to the web and requires multiple attempts. I wish that it had the option of vibration for alerts because I sometimes don't hear them. Overall, I like it very much, wear it constantly, and find the information it tracks very accurate and useful.

I cannot say how much I love my polar m400 with heart rate monitor! This thing does almost everything. Counts steps, caloric burn, GPS, and so much more! I love the look, get compliments all the time! Leave it to Polar to make a cute but very functional fitness watch/hr monitor.

    Best Fitness Technology Purchase

I upgraded to the M400 from the FT4. I considered the A300 but decided to spend the extra cash for the this model after comparing the reviews. Well worth the upgrade. The heart rate sensor is very spot on and calorie counts are way more accurate than the FT4. The fit of the chest strap is very good. stays put and doesn't move around like other straps. Watch band fit is excellent. It may be too big for wrists around 6" as it has a large face. My wrist is about 7.75ins and it's VERY comfortable. If you're in the market for a fitness tracker and heart rate monitor, this is your watch! The uploads to the laptop are pretty much seamless. BUT remember to sync the watch BEFORE your first workout. Otherwise, your previous workouts will be lost.

I did a review of most hrm and ended up with 2 candidates, m400 and garming foreruners 25, do to the comparable features as, mutltisport, gps, etc. finally, i decided by m400 Great to selup the sports of you interest and also a deck of screens within each sport with all the information that you select to see. Battery performance may be an issue if you use gps and ligths on on night rides. Nice indoors training options. Good ios app

    First Polar Watch

This is my first polar watch. It has many great features making it a great value for the watch. If the heart rate monitor was attached with the watch that would be a plus, hoping that is included in a future Polar. Other than that the watch with the HR makes it a great activity and exercise tracker. It is very accurate and keeps track of your daily activities 24/7. It also allows you to customize exercises to give you more details of your exercises, something you may not find on higher end watches such as the Apple Watch. You can also setup to receive notifications from your smartphone. Great buy and have enjoyed using it for my daily exercises and activities.

Pros: The capabilities of this watch exceeded my expectations. I don't use the app for a smart phone. I sync the watch to my computer and it updates my training session, sleep time, and daily activity to my polar flow tracking page. I wear the watch all day and use the heart monitor when I'm doing cardio. I have yet to use the heart monitor while actually working out. I'm improving my fitness before I start hitting the weights. Cons: Only one I can think of is the wrist band. I don't know about other users but I on occasion had problems securing the wrist band. it's thick and not that flexible. I thought after a month of wearing it, the band could become somewhat more flexible but it has not. That is the only "issue" I have with this training watch. I WOULD DEFINETLY recommend this watch. It's very user friendly.

This is a great fitness HRM and for the price, it's hard to beat. Battery life lasts up to 2 weeks which is remarkable compared to similar products. Smart notifications, GPS, customizable data screens, sport profiles, and sleep and activity tracking work great and haven't had any problems from day 1. The app is very functional but the sleep data is not as robust as some others which is not a big deal for me. I wish there was a vibration function but this is also not a deal breaker considering the price. Overall happy with this purchase and love seeing software updates to further enhance the product.

I love this polar product. I've owned several watches FT80, FT60 and now M400. This watch is an improvement over the previous watches i have used. Easy to use, accurate and even had a built in gps. This product can sync Wireless and monitors everything from steps, to sleep to work out calories burned. The only complaint is that the screen should be a sapphire crystal to prevent scratches if it's going to be a workout watch and an everyday wear watch.

I saw a few negative reviews about this and how it syncs but has worked flawlessly for me. Syncing is not automatic but works very well. I love the GPS tracking accuracy. The iPhone app provides great detail and works much better than ifit which I used with my training bike. The only issue that I found is if my iPhone is nearby and Bluetooth is on, the heart rate transmitter will not pair with the watch. Turning off the iPhone Bluetooth solves that issue. Once the transmitter pairs with the watch, then you can turn Bluetooth back on the iPhone. Great product and glad that I did not simply replace my HR monitor with the same thing as previous.

I've been using this a little over a month now and am very pleased with it. I have been using Suunto watches to track heart rate and calories for my daily workouts but had been having a lot of issues with the chest strap not registering or losing connection in the middle of a workout. After reading lots of different reviews I chose this one and it did not disappoint. Great accuracy in recording daily steps and the heart rate during workouts is 100% on point. I had no idea it would link up to my phone and provide alerts so that has been an even better bonus. I would absolutely buy this watch again in a heartbeat :o)

I am an owner of a moto 360 first generation smart watch. I've owned it for over a year now and I've loved it. Then I started working out, and runnign more. I then purchased this watch with sensor so that I could better keep track of my fitness. I prefer this polar watch over the moto just because Its nicer for working out. In addition its waterproof which I need for my job and I dont feel like it will scratch as easily as my moto would. Great watch if you're into working out. Definately choose it. There could be improvements like a date displayed on the home screen. Other than that I love it. :D

Most accurate watch at tracking, better than Fitbit. Add the foot pod and calibrate it and it is almost dead accurate. Waterproof for swimming and showering. Connects to the machines at the gym for heart rate and distance. Connects and transfers data easily to app. Great online community to keep interest up.

I LOVE my Polar watch!! I started with an F7, then an A300 but the M400 is my favorite!! I can track everything on it. It is customizable for each workout. Allows me to select which workouts are my favorites on my display. Multiple watch face options. Does an amazing job tracking my heart rate no matter the workout. From running, to weights to open water swim it can track it all. Way better than the FitBit I had before. Worth every penny!
