Hi there, sorry to hear about your issues. The only reason photos will be blurry is if you are holding the camera too close or too far away from what you are photographing, or if you are taking photos indoors without flash. Please contact our customer service team at usa [at] polaroid [dot] com and we can give you some tips.

The Polaroid Now Instant Film Camera Gen 2 is a throwback to the old polaroids from the 1980s. I remember my parents having one of these and all the fun we had with them, and we still have some polaroids laying around in boxes somewhere. This camera looks and feels similar to the old school version in many ways but has a few modern upgrades. The camera charges with an included usb c cord, has a timer mode and has a remaining photo counter that is digital. That's basically it for the new stuff! The photos this Polaroid takes look pretty similar to the old polaroids. Photos are better outside but decent inside with enough lighting. You're still going to get that grainy gritty polaroid look from the photos but isn't that part of the fun! The timer worked well and the focus did pretty good as well. Just make sure you're not too close to the camera and you have enough light when you snap the photo and you should be good to go. The camera comes with 1 pack of film and the replacement film is not exactly cheap, but really how often will you be using this with a phone in your pocket? I think this camera is a fun piece of nostalgia from my past and probably yours too. It reminds me of simpler times when the world wasn't so obsessed with perfection. A time when your instant gratification was just a little picture that was a little off centered and slightly out of focus, but you loved it.

After owning and gifting away the first generation model, I was excited for this new release. The general tech updates are modest in real life experience but the new add-ons such as the lens filters and app connectivity are a nice addition that makes it worth every penny. Set up/App: The setup to the app is fairly straightforward. I'd overall happy with the app experience and it was not glitchy on my Apple device. It adds on the ability to take multiple photos, set timer, modify aperture, etc. It has a nice and simple layout. Film: Film there's not much to say other than it's easy to load. Not terribly expensive but of course this is a novelty item and you are going to pay the price for it. Camera features: On the camera itself you are able to set a timer, double exposure, and modify the aperture. It has a very nice retro look to it (as it did previously). I am a big fan of the newly included lens filters. They are just fun to mess around with and adds a bit of novelty. Personally, they are only useful is very well-lit environments. They do decrease the quality of the picture and don't do so great on dark skin tones compared to light. They updated the auto focus which I believe has made the photos at least a little better quality. Prints: They are definitely better than the original. The updated flash is better at producing nicer prints but this diminishes greatly at distances greater than ~6-8 feet. The dimmer the lighting the poorer quality capture and print. Overall, I still think you need to set your expectations in a world of very high quality cameras, this is not for your professional headshot or wedding photo shoot. Overall: This is a great update. Priced as a novelty item, I do believe you are not necessarily getting what you paid for in results but in the novelty. I am not sure whether its worth upgrading from a previous model but I would highly recommend this over any leftover first gen models.

The Polaroid Now Gen 2 is a step up and an improvement on this icon of photograhy history. While Outkast might not be penning odes to this particular camera, it has an interesting set of features that combines the nostalgic with the modern. Built in flash with a battery? Yes Please. Accurate ticker for how many photos are left on the cartridge, as well as indicators for double exposure and a self timer mode? More yes please! While I've not kept up on the saga that is/was the return of rights to produce polaroid film and then the subsequent reinvigoration of this medium, it appears that the Now Gen 2 can shoot with all the types of Polaroid instant film that is on the market today. The other colors are cheeky and kind of fun, but the black and white is the flagship of them all. Still light and portable, I DO wish that the standard kit came with some kind of a case, as the portions of the design that they have chosen to mimic result in angles and weird protrusions that seem prone to breakage should this camera go swinging accidentally. It does take up a decent amount of space for what seems like kind of a novelty, I'm not totally sure why I would put it in my bag, unless I was intending to shoot on these for a specific effect or for fun. Man is sure is fun to play with though.

The packing and included instructions and paperwork were good. The camera has the classic profile and aesthetics that brought me back to my childhood. Yes, you still have to wait, but the new film seems to have better quality and clarity then the old days. Note: Film does not come with the camera. Film needs to be purchased separately. The camera comes with snap on filters and a bag to hold them in. This is basically a way to color scheme and do analog 'upgrades' to your pictures, sort of like what you can do with digital photos from a more modern camera. It was fun to try them on similar shots, I don't know how often we'll use them, but I can certainly see the appeal. The real story though, is the app as an adjunct to the camera. The app was easy to install and use and allows for camera settings that just weren't there on the old polaroid cameras from the past. The app has these settings: remote (which just seemed really cool and probably helped with stability since you aren't squeezing when you shoot), self-timer, double exposure (which makes the shots look super retro, but would require some skill at composing the final picture), as well as aperture mode, tripod, portrait, light painting, and manual (i.e. the old school way). Very pleased with the camera and it is always fun to see the looks of surprise and delight when you reveal the Polaroid from your bag.

It takes really bad photos. I put this side by side with an Instax and it's either very blown out or very dark while the Instax was way more forgiving. It should be an easy point and shoot but it just is more trouble than it's worth. Buy an Instax

Hi there, The film itself can't cause dark or blurry photos. That can only be caused if photos are taken in low light without flash, or if the camera is held too close to what you are photographing, or if the camera is malfunctioning. I have owned a few Polaroid products (Instant Printer being one) and they're just fun - there's something magical about the way they work. This version of the Polaroid Instant Film Camera (Gen 2) doesn't come with film - you will need to grab some i-Type or 600 film, but everything else you need to use and charge it is in the box. There's a built in LiOn battery that charges via USB C (yay) and the white color has a cool retro modern vibe... although I wonder how the white will stand up to repeated use and passing from person to person. Taking photos is a snap (ha! pun!) although I think the shutter button is less than ideally located as I found myself a few times obscuring the flash. On the flash, it's auto but you can disable it if you want. Photo quality is improved from Gen 1 and what I will call ancient instant cameras, with a basic 2 lens autofocus. There's a cool double exposure feature which I makes for some trippy photo effects or will encourage you to be more creative. Sure you can do so much of this and more on your phone but it's not the same. I should add the self timer is nice but unless you have a good stable high place to put it, not sure it's really that useful. Would I buy this again? I like Instant Cameras, it gets people off their phones and we used it at our Halloween party to encourage people to take random photos as a momento. The Polaroid Instant Film Camera is perfect for this - nothing beats taking a real photo and being able to stick it on your fridge instead of it being lost forever in your phone. And really that's what you need to know from this review. The Polaroid Instant Film Camera is not an every day camera, it's not a replacement for your phone or a photo printer - it's a fun camera for family events, parties, etc. If you think of and use it this way, you will have so much fun and great memories. If I could change anything, it would be the location of the shutter button. PS. Pro tip, when you buy film, keep it refrigerated. This will help extend the life of the film and keep your shots looking good.

Film is not included with the purchase of the camera and must be purchased separately.

Hi there, We're sorry to hear about your issues! The camera and the film can't cause greenish results, and dark results could be due to the flash on the camera only being able to reach about 5-6 feet. Please contact our customer service team at usa [at] polaroid [dot] com and we can help.

The Polaroid Now+ is a good instant camera that delivers on what it promises. The Polaroid Now+ instant camera is my first polaroid in probably about 20 years, if not more. So I haven't used one since before the days of smart phones and even digital cameras before that. So it's been a while since I've had to deal with the quirks of analogue photography. But I'll try to keep my criticisms of that to a minimum. So back to the camera, it is an instant camera that takes Polaroid's itype or original 600 style file. It features bluetooth connectivity, which allows you to connect to Polaroid's smartphone app, which opens up many more features. You can use your phone as a remote shutter, you can take double exposures, use a handful of shooting modes like tripod, aperture priority, or even full manual. The camera also features a rechargeable battery which charges via USB-C. Lastly, the camera comes with 5 different colored lens filters for further experimentation. In all, this camera is about as feature packed as you'll find an instant camera can be. I especially liked the smartphone connectivity, as it opened up a whole world of possibilities and ways to experiment with your photography. And setup was super simple, even for bluetooth. I simply opened the app, and within seconds the camera connected. There was no pairing, holding down buttons, waiting for flashes, or going into settings. Just turn on the camera, open the app, and poof, just like magic the two were connected. All this being said, I must at least mention the quirks of polaroid photography in general, for those who may not be aware. For one, the film is relatively expensive. It averages about $2 per picture. Two, you don't realize how accustomed you've become to modern digital photography until you try to use one of these to take a good picture. If you are inexperienced with analogue photography, it will definitely take some learning, and you will probably go through a lot of film. You have to think about lighting, composition, etc a lot more than with digital photography, and every time you snap that shutter button, it's another $2. It definitely makes you think more and be more careful and selective of your shots. It won't be for everyone. But if you are prepared for the challenge, or already have the experience needed, this is really a great camera.

    Fun Camera for Artistic Photography

First off, the film for his camera is very expensive and you don’t get a lot of shots per pack. You have 2 options for film, the classic Polaroid 600 or the new Polaroid I-Type, which was designed specifically for the the new cameras. While the Polaroid Now + is lightweight, the camera is very boxy and bulky, but it is retro chic. With that said, this camera is a lot of fun to use if you are into photography and want to experiment and be artistic. The camera is easy to use, it’s point and shoot, although it’s a bit more complex when you start using it along with the Polaroid app. The app is very cool and it connects to the camera via Bluetooth. The app provides lots of photo taking options including full manual controls where up you can set the shutter speed, aperture, flash, and even whether the photo ejects. This gives you a wide range of artistic control. You can activate the shutter remotely with the app, activate the shutter on a timer, activate the shutter with a noise, like a hand clap, and do double exposures. Another cool mode that the app gives you is light painting, where you can experiment with motion or using a flashlight to add interesting effects like writing, lines or designs to photos. This version of the camera also comes with 5 color filters that you can attach to the lens for additional effects. Whatever settings and filters you decide to use, essentially every photo is really an experiment, but it is a lot of fun to try out different things. As with the classic Polaroid cameras, this camera is fun at parties where you can pass around the photos, if not instantly, pretty quickly. The app also allows you to easily scan your photos to your phone so you can have digital copies. Plus, the app has a link to the Polaroid store too, so you can order more film directly from the app. Overall, I would say that the Polaroid Now + is great for photography enthusiasts who enjoy experimentation
