Capture Memories Instantly
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Polaroid Now+ boasts a sleek and modern design, blending nostalgia with contemporary elements. The camera feels solid in hand, and the intuitive controls are well-placed, making it easy for beginner photographers to operate. The variety of color options allows users to choose a camera that reflects their personal style. The heart of any instant film camera is, of course, the film itself. The Polaroid Now+ uses the classic Polaroid film, delivering vibrant colors and a vintage aesthetic. The film develops quickly, with images appearing in just a few minutes. The results are reminiscent of the iconic Polaroid look, capturing the essence of the moment with a charming imperfection that digital photography often lacks. One standout feature of the Polaroid Now+ is its Bluetooth connectivity. This allows users to connect the camera to a smartphone through the Polaroid app. The app offers additional creative tools, including manual mode control, double exposure options, and the ability to digitally scan and save your instant prints. It's a thoughtful addition that bridges the gap between analog and digital photography. In a world dominated by digital photography, the Polaroid Now+ offers a refreshing and tangible way to capture memories. Its blend of modern features, classic design, and the unique joy of instant film make it a compelling choice for anyone looking to add a touch of nostalgia to their photography adventures. The Polaroid Now+ is not just a camera; it's a gateway to a timeless and tactile photography experience.

A photography Icon reinvigorates and reimagines
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Polaroid Now + has set the bar high and delivered for the masses. There is something about snapping a picture and having the developed capture in your hand within minutes that will never get old. That ability & feeling of a physical connection between the moment captured is timeless and priceless. The Polaroid Now+ has also set the standards with creative tools such as aperture priority and tripod mode all included inside the Polaroid app. The bonus gift includes 5 creative lens filters - starburst red, vignette, orange, yellow and blue. Simple set up instructions and user friendly. Battery life, 10/10. It takes about 2 hours to fully charge the battery. I have taken about 4 packs of pictures with this camera and the battery is still fully charged. I turn off the Polaroid Now + when not in use to save battery life. The battery performance is top notch also considering the features you are using with your Polaroid app. Photo quality is a 10/10… I mean, the photo you take is what you make it. Color quality is true to form. The style of picture is just beautiful. Night pictures are a bit hard to take if you are inexperienced but with a couple of YouTube guides, you can set up exposure with your phone and get really stylist pictures. App performance, 10/10, The Polaroid Now + is very creative. You can unlock tools with the Polaroid app and easy to use Bluetooth connection. It has a built in scanner, you can use the app as a remote shutter release with a shutter range of 1/200 sec to bulb, manual aperture control with a 5 stop range and remote trigger. The light painting, double exposure, manual mode and more are also available within the app. A lot to discover within the app that gives the user flexibility and many additional options to use. I must admit this camera has exceeded my expectations. I would absolutely recommend the Polaroid Now + to a friend.

Love this camera,great instant pictures
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So i have owned a polaroid, well polaroid type camera in the past. You take a picture and 2 seconds out pops a white and black film you wait patiently and the end result is normally all but depressing. Well those are a thing of the past with this actual Polaroid camera. So i'll say right off results can vary but i think it's all in the film quality you get out of the box of film you buy. I was pleasantly surprised with the picture quality i was getting. Now when i take a picture and i am waiting i'm excited to see the final results and i must say 9 out of 10 times i could not be happier. So the camera itself has some very nice features you do not normally see on a polaroid camera. It does come with several different filters to give you so different end results for your pictures you mite be looking for. Also one feature i love is it is rechargeable. Also make sure you download the app for the phone so you can kind of fine tine the setting on the camera,it's a must have to get your camera to it's best settings. It is very easy to use but i also highly recommend you read the instruction manual just so you know how to adjust settings and were everything is on the camera. All in all i am very impressed with this camera. It's not your $20 version of a polaroid so you will for the most part be very happy with the pictures you get in the end.

Good, but pricey
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I remember my days as a child and wanting so badly to use my parents’ Polaroid instant camera, but because of the cost of film, that was a rare occasion. Later, I bought one for myself and though the camera is long gone, I still have a few albums of the photos I took. Even when newly taken, they already looked old and faded - that was part of the kitsch. No one really took serious photos with a Polaroid instant camera. We took “snapshots” to save the moment. When I saw this new, modern take on the Polaroid camera, I had to have one! I love the retro-style of this camera. The stripes, large lens and rear viewer remind me of my old original. It uses the same “600” film as my old camera and it loads the same way. The shape is absolutely iconic. The photos it takes are just like what I remember – they come out looking so “retro”. It’s a wonderful flashback to my childhood. This camera has some updates over the Polaroid cameras of 50 years ago. The best upgrades are that there’s no more searching for flash bulbs or batteries because this one has a built-in electronic flash and rechargeable lithium battery. It comes with a USB-C cord for charging, though no charger brick is included, which is a bit of a disappointment given the price. There is a digital counter for shots remaining and an indicator for the internal flash. Instead of a clunky shutter release button, this one has a smooth, modern button along with buttons for power, flash setting and turning on Bluetooth. Yes, this camera has a Bluetooth interface as well as an accompanying phone app. The most useful thing about the app is the remote shutter release. The other functions, like the aperture and exposure controls and even the double-exposure feature offer some creative functions, but honestly, with the “simple” quality of Polaroid photos, these add very little extra to the experience. To me, Polaroid is all about point, shoot and enjoy. If I need to make adjustments, I’ll use a better camera (like the one built-into my phone). After taking a few photos, I was reminded of the challenges of using a Polaroid camera. First of all, it’s a fixed-focus lens, so it uses a fairly small aperture. This means you need a lot of light, and the built-in flash is just barely adequate for indoor photos. Outside in well-lit conditions it does do better. I had also forgotten how long it takes Polaroid film to develop – around 15 minutes. Again, if I want high-quality photos, I’ll use my SLR or even my phone. This Polaroid camera is all about retro and simple fun. And it does deliver on that, just at a high price for its modern upgrades. If this had been less expensive, I might have given it a better rating, but I expected more at this price point.

5 stars for features and build quality
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my very first Polaroid camera, so I'll start with the device itself. It's super handy that it's rechargeable and uses a USB-C cable; I fully charged it when I got it, and 40 pictures later it's still going strong, so battery life is great. The film door latch is secure, but it opened easily when I loaded the film. When the film is loaded, it spits out the protected cover. Since this is my first Polaroid, I wasn't expecting the "frog tongue" that rolls out to protect your fresh pictures. It aggressively rolls back into the camera when you grab the picture. I was a little worried that it would scratch the pictures, but I haven't seen any damage so far. That shows that I feel the quick-start instructions that come with the camera are really pretty minimal. There's a whole lot that I wish I read rather than learning by trial and error. It does have some focus and exposure capability, so utilize the 2-stage photo button to let it adjust before you snap off the picture. It likes a lot of light, but it doesn't like contrast very much, so things easily get washed out or blocked in shadow. The app is a whole other experience. You can use the app for adjusting exposure and other features, and it has a remote photo button. It's a little weird, but even with the app you only get the camera's viewfinder for framing your pictures. I almost expected the app to show the picture. I guess that's part of the "charm" of a Polaroid. However I got much better results using the app. Overall, if you're a fan of Polaroid cameras, this one is awesome for the nostalgia. It quietly adds some really good features, and the app unlocks a whole lot more capabilities. For a beginner, be prepared to waste a lot of film getting used to Polaroid photography.

Retro...kind of
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Anyone who grew up in the 70s,80s, and 90s experienced Polaroids in their prime. There is a certain nostalgia that comes from looking through the camera, hitting that button, and hearing the film come out. Even more from shaking the picture to help it develop faster. This device does just that, but now with modern technology, you can also bluetooth this device into your phone and have a whole new experience. Before I go any further, I want to make note for you that this kit does NOT come with the film. I had to purchase that separately which is a really bummer. Just keep that in mind when purchasing. Now I will say because of what we know now, we are not supposed to shake the Polaroid pictures because it can cause issues with it's development. Images can blur or bubbles can form. This is kind of a drag because, well, we all did it growing up. Not terrible, but now I have to set the photo down in a shaded area and wait...like watching paint dry. LOL It's part of it. The capabilities of this camera are amazing really. You can add tinted lenses to it for a hazy red, yellow, or blue effect. The bluetooth option gives you manual photo adjustments if you are a pro that knows what they are doing. You can also purchase different kinds of film that has a variety of borders. The possibilities are endless. Worth the purchase to have all sorts of fun with retro looking photos.

Ah, Nostalgia!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Growing up, my grandma had one of the original Polaroid cameras and back then, it was pretty much the coolest thing ever. Cameras that print pictures right in front of you aren’t quite as amazing as they were back then, but the nostalgic value they give definitely makes up for that. And let’s face it, there’s also the novelty of printing a picture right in front of you for the younger generation. I really like that they didn’t change the design all that much from the first generation of Polaroids because that’s in large part where the nostalgia and/or novelty lies. It FEELS like the old Polaroid in your hands, when you hold it up and aim, and snap that picture. And then when the picture pops out, it’s the same classic “Polaroid” with the tab at the bottom. I will say, I wish that’s where they’d gone a little more modern. The pictures aren’t exactly high resolution; they look like the pictures from the first-generation cameras too. That being said, I’m ok with it. I didn’t take a star away from the picture quality because frankly, it’s all part of the experience. If this was any other camera, it would be a different story, but then, there is no other camera like a Polaroid. This would make a great Christmas gift. Just make sure it gets opened first so you can take pictures of the rest of the festivities!

A fun little camera
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is not the camera you buy for sharp images, social media posts, or later Photoshopping. It is, however, the camera you buy to have some fun and share photos on the spot. The camera is reasonably small and very lightweight, which makes it easy to carry with the included wrist strap. The rechargeable battery means you don’t have to mess with carrying extras, and it has a long life, even with the flash. Taking photos is simple, once you get used to distinguishing between the power button and the photo button (hint: the latter is on the front). The lens is fixed focus, which means you adjust the image by moving closer or farther away. Images are fine, although not super sharp. The camera is extremely light sensitive, particularly the i-Type film. You’ll want to use it in clear, direct light for the best images. For those of us who used the original Polaroids, the thing that seems the most changed is the instruction not to wave or shake the print, just let it dry in the air. While it’s not going to compete with the camera on your phone, the Polaroid is a fun camera to have around. If an instant print camera is what you’re looking for, this is a very nice unit.

Just OK
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In the realm of instant photography, Polaroid has always held a special place, conjuring feelings of nostalgia and a sense of tangible memories. The Polaroid Now+ Instant Film Camera Generation 2 enters this space with promises of modernity and convenience, packaged in a sleek design. However, as with any product, there are both highs and lows to consider. The initial unboxing experience is undeniably delightful. The Polaroid Now+ arrives nicely packed, revealing a camera that looks and feels good in your hands. The design is an ode to retro aesthetics, a nod to the golden age of instant photography. The camera's body is compact yet substantial, offering a sense of durability and quality. One notable feature is the ergonomic design, ensuring a comfortable grip when capturing moments. Holding the camera during a shot feels secure, allowing for a stable frame and reducing the risk of blurred images caused by shaky hands. This attention to the user experience is commendable, making the Polaroid Now+ a reliable companion for capturing spontaneous moments. The inclusion of a USB-C port is a welcome addition, aligning with the contemporary trend toward universal charging. This feature eliminates the need for a specific cable, enhancing the camera's overall convenience and usability. The move toward USB-C reflects Polaroid's commitment to keeping up with the times and catering to the needs of a tech-savvy audience. Auto-focus is another highlight of the Polaroid Now+. This feature aims to simplify the picture-taking process. The auto-focus functionality, when it works as intended, ensures that your subjects are sharp and clear. This is particularly beneficial for quick snapshots and candid moments, adding to the camera's appeal as a user-friendly device. The inclusion of a filter pack adds a creative touch to the Polaroid Now+. Experimenting with different filters can enhance the mood and aesthetics of your instant prints, providing a level of customization beyond the standard point-and-shoot experience. This feature caters to users who enjoy adding a personal flair to their photographs, contributing to the camera's versatility. However, despite these positive aspects, the Polaroid Now+ Instant Film Camera Generation 2 is not without its drawbacks. One significant limitation is its reliance on Polaroid color film. While the exclusivity adds to the vintage charm, it may pose a constraint for who prefer a broader range of film options or those looking for more affordable alternatives. Low-light photography is an area where the Polaroid Now+ falls short. The results in dimly lit conditions are less than satisfactory, with noticeable graininess and loss of detail. One of the glaring issue is the inconsistency in the camera's focus and exposure. Despite the touted auto-focus feature, in some instances where the focus is unreliable, leading to blurry images. Additionally, exposure problems have been noted, with pictures often not accurately representing the scene's lighting conditions. This inconsistency in picture quality is a significant drawback, as it undermines the reliability of the camera in capturing precious moments. For who prioritize consistent and high-quality results may find the Polaroid Now+ falling short of expectations, raising concerns about its overall value for the price. In the realm of disappointment, the camera's performance in low light situations stands out as a significant drawback. While instant cameras are not known for excelling in low light conditions, the Polaroid Now+ struggles more than expected. The graininess and lack of detail in low light pictures diminish the overall appeal of the camera. The limitations in focus and exposure contribute to a sense of dissatisfaction with the picture quality. The promise of instant gratification is compromised when the camera fails to accurately capture the essence of the moment. A redeeming aspect of the Polaroid Now+ is its compatibility with a dedicated camera app. This app allows to make setting changes, providing a degree of control over the photographic process. While the app adds a layer of convenience, it also reveals a reliance on digital intervention to compensate for the camera's shortcomings in focus and exposure. In conclusion, the Polaroid Now+ Instant Film Camera Generation 2 is a mixed bag of nostalgia and modern convenience. Its nicely packed design, comfortable grip, and auto-focus feature contribute to a positive user experience. The inclusion of a filter pack and USB-C port adds a touch of contemporary functionality. However, the camera's limitations in low-light conditions, inconsistent focus, and exposure issues detract from its overall appeal.

Great camera
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first Polaroid camera I've used since I was a child and I'm in my 30's now. I actually thought they just went out of business or something since the age of digital cameras and the like but apparently not. With this camera you can get the instant film like you did in the past but with more modern features like syncing to an app. With this camera you can use two different types of film the older 600 or the newer I type film. The 600 is cheaper than the I type by a few dollars and based off what I've searched about the differences between both the 600 will eventually go away. Anyways you get inside the box The camera A set of filters USB type c cable to charge it Using this camera is a blast. It still has that nostalgic feel with it. Using it to take photos in the moment is quite fun. They take a few minutes to develop but still it's fun. It's quick and easy to use with no complicated features like a DSLR or a mirror less camera and while doesn't take the quality shots like those it's for the fun inclusive shots that makes this great

A Blast from the Past
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been enjoying this blast from the past shooter. I love that it takes photos and prints them out instantly. You can then stick them to whatever you want. I'm sure the inside of highschool lockers will be cover with these once the kids realize that you can print out that pose you took and plaster it on the metal - like we did back in the 80s. This time however Polaroid made some leaps on the quality of print vs the prints of yesteryears. A funny catch this time around is no shaking the print to make it come out quicker. Polaroid specifically mentions that in the owner manual. The quality of the camera is better than it's original offering and adds a rechargeable battery and USB C charging replacing the AA batteries that were required 40 years ago. The finished product is a fun little party favor that will please most audiences. It's not the best resolution you can get and most know that going into it. It's just a great way to suspend some memories being caught in the moment with this awesome little guy.

Retro Fun
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I traveled back in time with the Polaroid Now Instant Camera, and below are my thoughts: [PROS] Image Quality: So many factors play into capturing a great picture, and fortunately, I've had more hits than misses with this camera. Out of 12 photos, I've found myself satisfied with 7 and a half of them. The biggest benefit is that the pictures came out as crisp as you can get with dated technology. USB C Charging: Retro doesn't have to mean inconvenient, and the inclusion of USB C charging addresses that. Firstly, I'm glad that the camera uses rechargeable batteries. However, I'm even more happy that this device utilizes a USB C port as opposed to some obscure proprietary connection/adapter. Battery life: I've been pleased with the battery life thus far. I've used the camera outside and purposely left it off the charger to monitor the battery capacity afterwards. So far so good after being left out for 7+ hours. [CONS] Exposure issues: This "misses" that I spoke on earlier typically spawned from exposure issues that I encountered. I found some pics to be too dark, but I'm hoping that I can iron out the details with more practice in different scenarios. Wrist-Strap Only: I don't mind the Polaroid being that the size that it is, but I would have preferred for it have came with a neck strap. The wrist strap quality is fine, but this device is too large for a wrist strap to suffice while on the go. [CONCLUSION] This is a product that you buy with realistic expectations. Those who indulge in nostalgia and find the artistic beauty in photos would appreciate this the most. I found this camera to be fun and a neat piece for my media collection.

Genuine Slice of Nostalgia & Instant Gratification
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. How much does a genuinely nostalgic experience cost? The Polaroid - Now Instant Film Camera (Gen 2) gives us an answer. It accurately replicates the look and size of the original, iconic Polaroid cameras - along with much of the experience. And yet, it does that while including some helpful modern features. Along with the two-lens system, it includes a rechargeable battery using a USB-C port. Very convenient. The packaging was simple and easy to open. It includes a paper insert with quick set up instructions which was nice. Overall very easy to use, I inserted the film I purchased and then took a photo. Note: The Polaroid - Now Instant Film Camera (Gen 2) is NOT a camera for any kind of serious photography. It’s strength is the experience it offers: * The (almost) Instant Gratification of holding a printed image in your hand to easily show others and pass around. * The nostalgic feeling of taking a picture today that looks just like an iconic, Polaroid photo you might expect to find in an old shoebox in your parents’ attic. Why 4 stars instead of 5? It does not include film - an unexpected disappointment. It does not mention how long it takes for the film to develop after being ejected from the camera. That's important because you might expose the film too soon. I had to look up that information online. I also thought it wasn't very clear about being careful not to expose the film to any light while developing. With the first photo, when it ejected, I took it out in order to place it face down on a table (which uncovered it from the black protective cover attached to the camera ). That photo didn't seem to fully develop properly, I could see it but it was washed out. For the second photo, I left it attached to the camera so the protective cover stayed on and then put the camera in a dark room. That photo came out better. A genuine slice of nostalgia and instant gratification.

Nostalgia over photo quality
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera was more of a nostalgic product for me since I just lost my father. It took me back to the days when I remember my dad bringing home the camera with the "magical" film that would let us see our photo's right away. As soon as I took the camera out of the box I was transported back to the early eighties where we had so much joy in taking pictures and waiting for the image to show up. This version of the camera is a little more compact and much lighter Tham the polaroid cameras of yesteryear. This camera has a USB C port to help charge the lithium battery. The camera does require the use of I-type 600 film and unfortunately there is no sample pack included with the camera. The film is also quite expensive based on how many photos you can take so it is definitely something that you would use sparingly. The film should also be stored in a refrigerator in order to preserve its quality. You can download the polaroid app which simply allows you to control the camera via the app. You can also see the battery level of you camera. The app does not allow you to view the image on your phone. The camera is a quite simple point and shoot camera that is exactly like the previous polaroid cameras. The quality of the photos is not amazing when compared to current cameras or phones however you also should not expect it to be. They also do include some colored lens filters to add some different effect to your photos. I will continue to use this camera and buy the expensive film because it takes me back to a happy place however if you are looking for a camera for everyday use then I would recommend a simply point and shoot camera however if you appreciate the artsy type polaroid photos then you can't go wrong with this camera.

A Fun Camera
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After using this camera for about two weeks I would say that it is a very fun camera. My son and I have recently purchaed several instant cameras but there is nothing as nostalgic and fun as using the same technology that was around when I was a kid, and then sharing that with my son. The best things about this camera are as follows: It uses the same film from the old days or the new i-Type film, so the pictures have that same vintage quality and transform new events into what look like old memories. We even did a selfie with the plus settings. And after installing the app you can setup things like double exposure. My son loves his car so we did a double exposure of the car and a closeup of the wheel. You never know what you are going to get but it turned out pretty cool. Also, we used the various filters that came with the camera to change colors and add light waves. The coolest part is that you don't know what you're going to get until it develops. Some pictures were very cool and some where throw aways, but the excitement of not knowing adds to the charm. The biggest negative to this camera is how expensive the film is. A single picture costs a couple of dollars and by the time you've used the camera for a day you could easily spend 50 dollars or more. And when you factor in all the throw away pictures it makes it even more expensive. Also, some of the pictures, even when taken in good light, are very dark and hard to see. Perhaps I need to do some research or more experimenting to figure out why this happens, but I think its something that's always happened with Polaroids. Overall, we've already had a lot of fun with this and there are pictures hanging up all over our house. I would rdefinitely recommend it.

Trying to capture the nostalgia however falls flat
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Polaroid - Now Instant Film Camera Generation 2 is an interesting attempt to capture the wonder and fun we had as kids with its icon look and feel. The camera arrives in a small compact box that is easy to open. Once the box is opened you are greeted with a Polaroid Camera and USB-C Charging Cable. Also included in the box are a couple of pamphlets for the warranty and instructions. Note the camera does not come with any film unless you purchase the bundle package. This must be purchased separately. The film comes in a 16 or 40 picture pack. The camera uses the Polaroid i-Type Color Film. Loading the film cartridge is simply opening the foil package, pressing the two buttons on the sides of the camera to lower the film door and inserting till it clicks. Out of the box you will need to charge up the camera, it will arrive with little to no charge. It takes a couple of hours to fully charge the battery. Taking pictures with the camera is as easy as point and shoot, just like I remembered from years ago. This is one area the camera falls way short. The picture quality is bad. Even in brightly lit rooms or outdoors the pictures turn out dark and blurry. I am very disappointed to say the least that after all this time and technology changes, the old-fashioned film cameras have not gotten any better. I would not recommend this camera in its current state. The picture quality is just too bad and not worth the money.
