Works fine too but price is ridiculous
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The camera works the way it should but you’re better off finding an old one for much much cheaper, the film is ridiculously expensive (about 2 dollars a picture), which you can still get one that works on an original polaroid which either way is only 8 pictures for 16 to 20 dollars ish

Great camera for beginners!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is an ok camera. I am not sure about the quality for the price. It is a cheap camera at an expensive price with the film being very expensive for the worth. 16 pictures for @ $30.

Great camera for the family
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s ok but the films are way to short just 8 exposures per pack. But at the end with good light and good eye you got a nice instant pic. No digital era so no margin for error

An EXCELLENT retro product without the issues
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having been someone who took way more Polaroid pictures in my lifetime, I can tell you that this is a great balance of performance with todays technology, with the cool factor of being able to take and hold a picture in your hand, watching it come to life as it develops before your eyes. I'm old enough to remember the 1970's Polaroid pictures and what they meant to us back then, and through the years. I've watched my kids look at this technology and some feel the exact same way. They can take a favorite picture, and place it into a picture frame, put on the dashboard of their car, hang not their bathroom mirror, all the stuff we did with them, and see how while you can take a million pictures today and only print the ones you want, somehow taking that picture and holding it in your hand is as cool to them as it was to us (and still is to us). It seems the quality of the pictures coming out are of a better quality than I remember of the old ones, and they look great. The camera has a battery that is rechargeable and will last upwards of 60 days (I haven't had it that long to confirm that). But you'll likely charge it before use anyway. Polaroid cameras were something you took with you to go take pictures, so you'd know and have it ready to go. The film isn't cheap to buy, but you need to remember that you are buying a photo lab with each picture. Printing pictures today cost money too, just not quite as much. But you have to go somewhere to get it processed, and so far, I haven't found anything that replicates the look of Polaroid with anything other than a Polaroid. Treat yourself. Treat a young person to something that they haven't had a chance to grow up with like we did. Let them see and hold a picture in their and watch their faces as they see it develop. One of my new favorite picture is an impromptu Polaroid picture of our family. Does it look like it was taken with a 16MP fancy camera? No, but it is not supposed to look that way - I like simplicity and the reliability of this camera. Thanks Polaroid for brining this back - not only for my benefit, but so my kids can live out the fun taking Polaroid pictures for themselves. You'll have to just try this on your own to see what you think....me? I am totally down memory road and it feels good to use this camera again, but in a more positive fashion.

Nostalgic but very limited.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the idea of an instant camera but outside of the nostalgia of the device, its limitations are not worth the money and film is still expensive.

Lacking
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Photos are consistently dark and lacking depth in color, compared to other Polaroid cameras that I have purchased from BB in the past.

Films too costly
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great unique retro look but the film is ridiculous to purchase. More of a shelf display piece. Too expensive to use for multiple exposures.

Nostalgic, for a price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Analog film is making a comeback. Me personally, I rarely print any photos anymore. If I take a great photo, I generally only show it to someone on my phone. It's just too much of hassle (and I forget) to get prints made. But I loved old Polaroids and love the idea of taking a picture and instantly having it printed to put on my fridge, or clipped onto a cool piece of artwork. If you're familiar with Polaroids, you'll know that Polaroid photos have a distinct vintage feel, with muted colors. Personally, I love it. This new Polaroid One replicates what you remember from Polaroids of years past to a T. It takes great vintage photos that you can immediately view and share. I love the rechargeable battery and the automatic timer (more on that in a moment). The film is easy to load and unload. HOWEVER, in an age when we take photos with our phone on a whim, literally snapping a photo of anything and everything, a Polaroid forces you to think about your shot. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. You only get 8 shots per roll of film and at $19.99 for 8 shots, they're quite pricey. But going through the effort of making a good picture allows you to do just that, get a great and memorable photo. With your phone you might take 3 or 4 pictures really quick in hopes you'll get the right one. But now you have to make sure everything is lined up beforehand. As for the timer, it's nice, but it's tough to get right. For example, if you want to be in the picture with your friends (and there's no stranger around) you have to find something at the appropriate height to put your camera on, line it up just right, and seemingly hope for the best. This is standard protocol for any self-timer, but the stakes are higher for the previously listed reasons: price of the photos. At the end of the day, if you're one that wants some cool vintage looking shots, this is the best instant camera. But know that you will be limited in the number of shots you can take given the price. 8 photos in today's digital world is not a lot.

Okay
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The camera is nice looking. The blue is very bright. The camera quality is not the best best compared to other Polaroid cameras. It’s very average. It difficult to find the perfect lighting when using this camera. Not being able to manually switch on/off the flash is annoying, because sometimes you might forget to and it will mess up your picture.

New optics, but output is still nostalgia-only.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was really hopeful when getting this that someone solved for the old Polaroid conundrum of poor color and exposure quality in the final output. Polaroid pictures are a big part of my childhood - Entire events of my upbringing, family events, and photos with long lost loved ones are only captured on those little, fragile, impossible-to-scan square frames. The flat, muted colors, the so-so-focus, and the questionable longevity of an instantly-developed-and-fixed chemical process. Well, Polaroid (or someone licensing the name now that the patents have run out) is back, baby! And... Its pretty much the same as before. I'd been familiar with the "return-to-analog" craze going on, as my daughters longed for a competitor's instant-picture camera and film this last holiday season, and they were hard to find. This new camera, bearing the original name-brand and the design/retro-styling of the old OneTouch series from the Late 70s/Early 80s definitely puts the retro-is-cool thing to full-throttle. The camera works well, runs on an internal rechargeable battery (which is awesome and lasts 60+ days according to their website - My experience is I forgot it was rechargeable because I only had to plug it in initially in the 30 days I used it with 3 packs of film - Its still going strong!) and has excellent build quality. The film I used is new I-Series film which produces pretty much the same muted quality of old, but offers a VERY cool Black and White option too... Interesting stuff! I had good results with the B&W "film" and those were probably the most fun to produce. The color photos, even with the new I-Series film (this camera works with the older "600" film too!) were a time-warp to 1984 and were comparable to anything my mother snapped that year. The was cool, but as more of a digital native, it wasn't anything I couldn't produce with an Instagram filter. The lens is rated from 2ft-infinity and the focal range was good. Sharpness SEEMS better than the old cameras, but I haven't had a direct comparison in a few decades... The grain of the film/paper is pretty significant so improved optics are better for focus than they are for richer detail. This thing is a fun trip down memory lane and at my last few events, whipping one out made people laugh but in the end they enjoyed getting those instant photos in-hand to take with them and remember our day. There's something to be said for the old 600s... And they still have a place today in kitsch and child-like enjoyment...

Not great pictures
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas because she wanted the vintage one shot camera. She was so happy with it and was taking pictures throughout the day. The flash is so bright that we had to close our eyes a couple of seconds to get our vision back. The pictures come out dark and not very clear. I gave it 2 stars only because my granddaughters excitement for this camera. I have not seen her with it since.

Nostalgia at its [almost] best
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Polaroids have gone away long enough to almost be forgotten...but wait....they are back! Several companies have been making similar products as of late, but this camera has the size and feel of the old Polaroids that I remember. This camera is fairly simple to operate (except an awkwardly placed shutter button), has a USB cable for charging, and easy loading film. There is an adjustment for brightness of your pictures, but the adjustments are pretty limited. I used an entire roll of color film this Memorial weekend, and the first few looked pretty foggy after developed, possibly due to me needing to adjust the brightness. I made some on the fly adjustments and kept snapping away. The later shots, in shady environments, came out pretty well...as much as can be expected from a Polaroid anyway. But the end results look very 1990s. But that is almost the point, isn't it? This is not a digital camera. No, it will not compete with modern cell phones. I would really like to see this camera, even if at a higher price point, incorporate a digital memory slot to also store the pictures digitally. That way you have the feel good throw back picture, but also the higher quality digital copy that you can send or print out as many times as you wish. I understand they want to sell film, but consumers would use both. I am sure of it. This is a great camera to relive times past and have pictures to put up on your pin board in your scrap room or office. The film is a little pricey, but this camera is what you would expect in a classic Polaroid. If they add a couple modern touches, this would be gold.
