Bought this as an Xmas present for my daughter. The film needed for it is not cheap. But I bought her $100 worth of film. Sadly the camera will consume quite a few pictures before you can figure it out. The quality of the pictures was really bad. I returned the camera. Not sure if it was defective or just a poor product

I had great hopes with this, but the pictures are all blurred. I tried to look up the instructions to see if I was doing something wrong, but could find nothing to help me out. I took pictures with both black and white as well as color and it did not make any difference. I would not share the pictures with anyone.

Let face it this dose NOT compare to a digital camera or any camera phone. But 99% of the photos on my phone never made it to prints. This camera came in handy this last memorial when the family came from out of town. Made it very easy to send every one home with an photo of our time together. Some key points I like about this OneStep 2 are Easy to use Rechargeable battery Self timer button Retro look Good photos And lots of fun.

    Such High Hopes - Dashed

I was so very excited to begin using this camera, as I fondly remembered my father’s fun, many years ago, with providing anyone and everyone with instant pictures. Unfortunately, the quality of these “modern” photographs is far worse than the quality that I remember enjoying as a little girl. Fuzzy, hazy, blurred, pale - these are just a few adjectives that immediately come to mind in describing Kodak’s 2019 quality. What a shame. What a disappointment.

I was stoked when I first purchased this camera. I was very devastated with the result of the camera. The quality of the picture were disappointing and the full picture wouldn’t come out. As well when you would switch Cartridges it would waste the film.

    Same old Polaroid...

What you see is what you get. When this camera was released, I was hoping that Polaroid was going to combine new technology with the old technology and have better picture quality. This was not the case! The photos are just as grainy as they were in the 70’s. If you are looking for nostalgia, buy an old one from a thrift store. This camera was too expensive for what you get.

Relive your Childhood in Analog Glory

What to say this is an updated version of your childhood Polaroid camera. In a change from the digital cameras of today you get a bulky old school Analog camera that prints the picture right now. Updating from the original version of the camera you can charge the battery using a USB cable, and that is for the flash. That flash is bright. First time I used it was stuck on my retina for at least 10 minutes it seemed. Not quite blinding, but only by a few candles. Otherwise the film pops out with the picture. Takes a few minutes to fully develop. Its simple to use and fun. My major complaint is the cost of the film and number of shots you get. I understand this is massed produced, just know this isn't something where you will want to fire off ten shots to get that perfect framing, your going to want to get the picture framed the way you want and take just that one. Hopefully if this gets more people using it over time the cost of the film will come down. Otherwise this is a great product that reminds me of my childhood and is fun to have some more analog shots of my kids.

The design and feel of the camera is just about exactly like the old models I used in the 70s/80s -I'm old(er) and this camera made me feel like a kid again. It worked like a charm and in minutes we had shot our first snapshot and were hooked. We used it at a yard party and parade and looking at the photos was hilarious. Seeing them in this format again for the first time in years, they instantly looked like "old photos" from an album. I think it is also interesting for younger people and kids to see what it was like in the old days - our nieces both have the pic-300s now and get a kick out of them. Buying film with their allowance is also teaching them about the value of money and how they spend it. The film isn't cheap, so they have to pick their shots carefully.

Good Instant Camera, but Film is Expensive

The camera is a nice reboot to the vintage Polaroid instant camera. Even though the camera is all plastic, it seems to be very well constructed and it looks nice. It is very easy to load the film into the camera. It is also easy to take photos. The internal battery is rechargeable, and its charge life is good. The photos seem a little fuzzy sometimes, and the film is way too expensive. It is like $2 per photo. So if you have a blown shot or if a photo does not turn out how you like, it means expensive film is wasted. It also takes several minutes for the photos to fully develop. So, you will be waiting for awhile between shots to see if the picture turns out good. The camera is nice for what it is, but I prefer my digital camera, and I am not sure if I will ever buy any more film for it.

Camera doesn't come with film and must be purchased separately. I would expect the camera to ship with 1 or 2 sheets of film to get started. This should be made clear in the title.

The camera has a great aesthetic about it, but that doesn’t help the fact that the camera barely works. We purchased one and had to return it due to its inability to charge. The second camera we received started off strong and went through one pack of film. Once we switched the film out it stoped producing pictures. All in all I would find another brand.

A New Blast From The Past!

I remember the original Polaroids and the excitement of watching the picture develop. The new OneStep2 brings it all back. The pictures look JUST LIKE THEY DID IN THE ‘70s! The shot I took of my daughter and son-in-law looked like I found it in some old shoebox - from before they were born. And there’s no denying that it is refreshing to put a hard-copy of a retro-looking picture up on the fridge. Construction is solid and it’s easy to use. The features are straight-forward (nice to have a timer). However, be sure and take time to read through the instructions before using. There are a couple of things that work differently than with the originals. Things to consider: 1. The film is not cheap 2. This is a point-and-shoot camera. There are no options on framing shots other than your position 3. Although there may be a variety of settings in which to use it, this is a one-trick pony. The only reason I’m not giving it a 5-Star rating is because of point 3. With that considered, the Polaroid Originals - OneStep 2 Analog Instant Film Camera is a blast.

There's no reason to buy this product. If you think there's some fun "nostalgia" to it, you're wrong. The pictures take 10-15 minutes to develop -- ridiculous -- so you lose the immediacy. Carrying the camera around on your neck is annoying. The film costs $1.50/picture. Complete waste. Picture quality is ok.

This camera was bought as a Christmas gift. What an utter disappointment. All the photos come out terribly underexposed even in the brightest light. I’ve tried different packages of film in case the film was bad. Unfortunately it was the camera itself.

Good camera for Polaroid type photos

Just like the original Polaroid, there is a learning curve for using this camera and there is a use case for them. Knowing the best conditions to take pictures in is key to enjoying this camera -- read the instructions inside the film box carefully for best results! The good: It's simple, very simple, to setup and use! Pull it out of the box, charge it up, load your paper and make sure that your subject has good lighting!!! The bad: Lacking experience with this type of camera, you'll make mistakes and waste very precious photo paper! The subject MUST be still, and well lit otherwise it will not turn out like you think. I lost a few trying to take pictures with my family and lost a few precious moments due to movement which made me wish I'd taken the photo with my smartphone instead. Being re-invented, I wish that the Polaroid Originals company would have considered adding a little bit more tech to help with the learning curve with this camera and help optimize for the best condition (like a shutter delay that is triggered when it senses no motion after the button is pressed and the proper lighting is present). The view in the viewfinder is slightly different from what will actually turn out which I didn't mind but it was noticeable. The quality/consistency of shots will definitely vary as conditions for lighting change constantly and again movement in any lower light situation will result in a blurry photo. Always keep the flash on would be some advice from my experience. Having stated that, the intent is that this camera is supposed to mimic the old Polaroids so it's to be expected that it would work similarly. So, if you're looking for that and don't mind wasting photo paper to sharpen your skills with it you'll be set. Once you do though, like me, I was able to turn out some good "old school" pictures which was fun! The color photos are okay but I liked the B&W photos the best, hands down! I'd recommend this camera overall as it is fun and does bring back nostalgic memories of Polaroids, but where there are issues with the viewfinder matching, and inconsistency with photos and there is no modern tech used to help maximize your success of taking a great photo I'd give this camera an average rating. For those looking for a Polaroid like experience that's closer to the original, this would be great so I'd give it four stars.
