I bought two of these headlamps to replace our old ones. These new lamps were supposed to be brighter (up to 500 lumens brighter), water resistant, and they cost about twice as much as my old headlamps. They are bright, but not any brighter than my old lamps, and the battery pack clip cracked after the first battery change. Now the latches will no longer close, making it inconvenient to carry. Because of the design of the latches, fortunately, it is not an issue when wearing the lamps, but there is no seal, so I definitely do not trust the water resistant claims. Overall, I would not pay the price for the quality.

I really wanted this head flashlight to work for me. I ride a bicycle in SF and the roads are full of potholes. It is literally life or death to have a good, bright head flashlight to see these holes before your bike goes down in one and throws you. Then you wind up w/ a broken neck & a destroyed bike. This light is very cute w/ it's red & black design. Focusing lens is a must. HOWEVER- the brightness and lumens attributed to this light are totally a LIE. It is NOT 970 lumens. I would place it at 300 lumens max. The focusing lens creates a beam & spot w/ a vauge, hazy circle that is too wide, not accurate. The strobe is nice. This light devours bateries in minutes. Sadly I would say DO NOT BUY.

Excellent light. Uses regular alkaline batteries so battery life is poor when you want the brightest setting, which is most often. Good comfortable fit.

Great headlamp! Very bright and can adjust the beam easily. The only drawback I have found is that it is a little heavy but it’s easy to get used to wearing it. I have used it many times when the power has gone out, we head a week long power outage last winter, and it’s been really handy to have. I’ve also used it many times, and more times to come, for when I have to go chop/get firewood and I’ve never had any problems with it! Batteries are easy to change and so far the light has never gone out. I did wish it was rechargeable but then if that was the case then it wouldn’t have been very helpful when our power was out for the week last winter so I’m now very very grateful that it takes batteries instead! I could put rechargeable batteries in it if I wanted to but the batteries I have put in it have lasted a really long time so it’s not like it goes thru a lot of them anyway.. Over all I’m still VERY happy with this headlamp and I’ve head it for almost a year!

I bought it for its brightness and versatility. It's easy to use hand-free while allowing you to adjust the angle of beam. However, I do not like having to press the button through two other lighting options before it could be turned off.

I love this flash light. This has both smaller and larger focus area. Very bright. A bit bulky when I first wore it. However, felt fine after a bit. Great flash light for night strolling, biking etc.

It puts out a lot of light. It is being used by an ice fisherman who needs light getting off the lake at night. Totally pleased with the head flashlight.

It good and refreshing to get a product that really works as advertised. This flashlight looks good and feels good and gives out ample light to get the job done. Ease of use is simple. This is a good buy and worth the purchase price.

A battery hog but lights up your surroundings like ET's space craft. Better get battery with highest amp hour rating least you run out of battery or you might want to wear a bandolier of spare batteries to go with your extended illumination sessions. On/Off switch is very reliable/responsive unlike other headlights I own that is a hit or miss when it comes to the On/Off switch.

This headlight is great for those that want lots of light at a great value. Battery life is pretty solid considering how bright it gets. Weight distribution is also a plus as the weight is distributed evenly across the head. One thing to take into account is that since the power button is on the back of the device if you lay down flat that button will be pressed and you'll jump into the next light setting.

This light is nice and bright. The adjustability of the light beam is good and it does illuminate a decent distance. The only drawback of this product is that the fit makes it impossible to wear a helmet at the same time.

Purchased for my husband and he loves it. The flashlight is super bright and he uses it daily at work.

Very bright unit that is quick in recharging. One of the best headlight units on the market.

This light is very bright and lights up the surrounding for a long distance.

Throws a boat-load of light. Can be seen from the international space station. I mean, you know, 1000 lumens in your head is pretty much all you’ll ever need. But it’s just a wee bit bulky.
