Given we have a small living room, I figured the sound bar would work well for our setup. It does have the wireless subwoofer and Echo dot built in. The Echo dot portion does help, but I've found it often doesnt work as consistent as our other Amazon devices. It often gets stuck on simple tasks, making you have to wait sometimes up to a minute for her to time out. The subwoofer is nearly unheard. Even with bass turned to 100% it often goes unnoticed, I almost forget we have a sub except when cleaning and vacuuming. Sound from the bar itself is ok, volume control and overall ease of setup is good. The only thing i'm noticing is that if you do not have a TV with HDMI arc controls you may have issues with tv control and options. If it does then make sure they are hooked up to the correct one. I don't think Polk put all their effort into this, and for the price I'd say I'm let down. I would suggest comparing other models and sizes, maybe spending a little more will get better sound quality.

So the makings of a great soundbar are all here. At a good price point, Alexa integration, rich bass from a small subwoofer, very clear dialog... but where the Command Bar Falls flat is on music. It sounds flat. There’s no way around it, its highs are just absent. And there’s no EQ adjustment for treble either, so you just gotta kinda deal with just how incredibly underwhelming it is in the high range. Adjusting the voice setting merely changes your midrange. Switching between music, movie and sport mode provides little real difference. Asking Alexa to increase the treble results in her flat out telling you she can’t. Disappointing to say the least. If you’re going to use this bar solely for movies/TV then you’ll be happy. Just don’t try and play music through it. The dissapointment will be swift and decisive.

Bought this item on blaxk Friday. It was not a door buster. Out of the box it was very easy to install. I used the optical connection. The sound was awesome. Remote was very easy to use. Absolutely no trouble pairing the subwoofer. Approximately 4 days after install the TV stopped auto detecting the sound bar. No problem I turned off auto detect and turn TV speakers off. Approximately 7 days after that I began to have issues with the built in Alexa. I would have to pull the power cord each day to resync Alexa. I called Polk tech on this latest issue. After being transfered around I finally got "Mr power user" he spent more time telling me about himself than listening to me. He finally acknowledge that Polk knew about the Alexa glith and were working on it. I give the devise a 5 star and the customer support 1 star so I gave it a 3 star overall.

I might be doing it wrong, but it’s kind of annoying to hear one amazon say it can’t play music while the other one says it will (and does) because they’re grouped, so different music doesn’t play at the same time. It would be best if you don’t have other Alexas near it. Sound is decent, though the “voice” enhancement doesn’t do much. The hookup for to put a hdmi streaming device directly into the bar is great. I also can’t get this green circle life to stop blinking when is use. The Sub is also not very good looking. Also the remote is line of sight, which is never preferred. So I guess, I would get this only If I really wanted an Alexa product and/or had limited HDMI ports on your TV. Otherwise I’d get a better looking one.

I needed a sound bar for my TV and saw this on sale during thanksgiving. Installation is easy sound is very nice. it has movie mode sports mode and music mode. Movie mode gives a nice surround sound sports mode gives more of the voice and less music music mode gives out good bass. But no matter how many times I setup alexa, it works the first time and then next time when i try using alexa it says it is having trouble connecting to internet. I am able to connect to internet with other echo dot and the other echo dot alexa works fine. The alexa on polk sound bar is right next to the echo dot and cannot connect to internet.

The pros: * The unit is stylish looking * The integrated Amazon Echo Alexa is a bonus * Easy to use remote * Set up was fairly easy * It has a nice lower profile so it doesn't block any part of the TV The cons: - Alexa is not quite up to speed. I'd like to use voice commands for my smart home devices. I also want to use it as my primary Echo in the living g room, but it does not support several Alexa skills as of yet - The bass on the subwoofer is very underwhelming to me. Mind you, I don't want a heavy bass (The kind that would vibrate the walls down). I just want to have a sense of the bass when watching a movie

I had a less expensive vizio sound bar but wanted the alexa control and polk sound. The depth of the sound was very good but you had to turn the volume up to 60 plus to watch regular tv. To give you an idea I could watch using the Vizio bar at a volume of 15-20. I liked wide range of tones. That was better than the Vizio (which is more trebelly and less mids) but could not settle for the volume issue.

Positives: sounds great, Alexa, Polk name/reputation Negatives: Had trouble seamlessly integrating with my new Samsung QLED TV. Could not reliably get the remote to control the soundbar. Also, Alexa has trouble responding to voice commands from across the room. People will not normally be sitting right next to a soundbar. Ultimately, I returned this soundbar and exchanged for a Samsung N650 which integrates perfectly with my Samsung TV

This audio bar/echo dot set up does what it claims to do. Sound quality seems good (I'm no expert nor that picky). One thing that might just be unavoidable is when the music or tv is playing loud you have to use your "outside" voices for Alexa to hear you... But I think that will be the same with most items like this.

Not overly impressed with this product. Sound quality is OK. Like the built in Alexa but once every two weeks or so it looses connectivity with my WAP and I have to cycle power to the soundbar for the connectivity to be reestablished. There is no easy way to get it to connect again.

Bought this because I thought the Alexa would be cool installation requires an app to be downloaded and the sound cuts out a lot. May return it and get something else. Super annoying during a movie when sound cuts out for like 3 seconds intermently

It works well and sounds good. My only complaints would be I haven’t been able to figure out how to adjust the sound through tv, as well as the sound bar separately. Also hooking up the sound bar through the fiber optic cable made it sound as though it echoed.

There is a delay in voice when changing channels and a high pitched beep that is annoying because it happens every time. Not sure what to do about it. Sounds great when it’s on a movie. If it can be updated to improve these two items I would recommend it.

First let me say I have zero complaints about the sound quality but some Alexa features (drop in) don't work on this device so that's the only reason for 3 stars if this feature is fixed in an update I would give 5 stars.

I bought this to help me understand dialogues without having to increase the overall volume too much. I guess bc it is a 2.1 and not 3.1 speaker it did not work well for me

Personally don’t think it’s an amazing sound bar. I would recommend Bose or something possibly a little better quality then this unit. Not to impressed with bass or even the bar itself.

Needed a good soundbar and saw this one sounded pretty good in the store. It sounds ok at home, it has decent bass but little treble. It's ok, but I'll purchase something better soon.
