They get 3 stars because of wrong information. Sound quality is decent for little speakers.
I purchased these after making the mistake of buying pioneers that sound terrible and were slightly too small for box inside my door. Guess I'll be putting in some silicone after all since these speakers are actually below 4 inch cutout

I picked up a pair of these (4) to replace the original speakers in my 1991 Honda Prelude. Being almost 30 years old, the rubber on the speakers had disintegrated and one of the paper cones was buzzing. These speakers have good clarity and a rich presentation. Bass is present, but not exaggerated while treble and mids are well-represented. These aren't going to win any awards for best sound, but for a small car listening environment, they work quite well. I bought these after being disappointed by a bass-biased pioneer set and am quite happy with my purchase. Even using the original radio or a cassette adapter, sound quality is quite decent for a car and a significant improvement over my worn out oem speakers.
