Decided to replace a full surround sound with a receiver for a high-end sound bar option. Polk has a good reputation and the sound bar is one of the best I’ve ever heard. Vocals are clear highs are smooth, but not edgy, the bass is well defined and very well blended with the rest of the system. Quality and integration are excellent. A couple of clicks down of the bass and it sounds perfect for me. I purchased the wireless surrounds on Amazon, on sale and they blend perfect and are definitely worth adding.

Full disclosure I have never had another soundbar - however I'm very happy with the quality of audio coming out of this system. Also, if you have an android you'll have to do setup through Google Home, apparently this system is better built/integrated with Apple devices, so that's worth mentioning. I chose it after a lot of research, and many others in this price range have been reported to have a number of issues. The sub is quite powerful, to the point I've often been able to turn it down a notch or two and still get great bass. The system overall simulates full surround very well despite lacking rear speakers (which of course can be bought separately to make it 7.1). I experienced a small issue with updating the firmware version on initial install but that seemed to fix itself after 15 mins or so. The only real complaint I have is that the Bluetooth capabilities are somewhat limited. It works well for music streaming from my phone, but the latency isn't good enough for what I'd hoped, which is being able to stream the audio from my steam deck wirelessly. However that is a very small downside to an otherwise excellent piece of hardware. Granted, I bought this on sale and saved a couple hundred bucks. If I had paid the full retail price which is a bit of a premium, I might feel more strongly about the downsides, minimal as they are.

I bought this system for less than half price, and honestly had no expectations because of that. When I arrived at the Outlet store what I found rather shocked me. The soundbar sort of had this tiny of dust to the cloth covering, and the big subwoofer looked like Peter, Samir & Mike Bolton took it to that field and gave it a proper thug beat down! And then they filled it with water and sent it rolling down a rocky hill! None of it had any sign of a box or any kind of instructions, and if there was ever a remote for it then it had gone the way of D.B. Cooper. So I resigned to having bought scrap materials, since I had already paid for it online, and brought it home. It. Is Amazing. As soon as I hooked it up I was amazed! My Roku TV remote controlled its basic functions with no setup. I still need to locate a proper remote for it to access all its special features, but it’s already awesome. Also, get the additional side speakers, that makes it a 7.1 Atmosphere system! (I also got those open box and even at a discount those cost me almost more than the MagniFi system!) Tip: Watch ‘Monarch: Legacy of Monsters’ if you buy it. Best audio of anything I’ve watched since I bought this, and the season finale there were moments when I’d use the word spectacular’.

Purchased Open Box Excellent soundbar with subwoofer. Simple setup, added to Alexa app and home internet and it auto updated the firmware. Love the remote has what you need, as well as the easy to access physical buttons on the soundbar itself. No app neeeed. Audio is excellent and the sub woofer adds a great punch. Suprised at how well it works being connected wirelessly to the soundbar. Polk Audio did an excellent job with the “voice” option that does indeed make the spoken voice clearer, louder and easy to hear. The soundbar is asthetically pleasing and the subwoofer is well done as well. It pairs great with our 77” LG OLED TV connected via HDMI ARC. Only owned it for a few days now, so far it’s been awesome.

Had a Sony sound bar that acted as a quasi AV receiver, in that it had 3 HDMI inputs. My daughters got it for me a number of years ago as a Christmas gift (I believe from Best Buy). The Sony died last spring, and I ended up getting a different brand sound bar, direct from the manufacturer (I'll refrain from naming names). Struggles with that bar (and another identical replacement bar) forced me to look elsewhere. I had a confirming conversation with Polk Audio (re connections) and then headed for Best Buy. I connected with a great sales associate at the Richfield BB, and after explaining my situation, he agreed that the Magnifi Max AX was a good choice. Set up was a breeze, it paired with my Xfinity remote immediately, and I haven't looked back.

This item replaced a Bose 3-2-1, and I'd say the Bose had a more pleasant, balanced sound for low/medium background music. However after a month, I've learned to really appreciate the Polk. It syncs perfectly with the TV and whatever source I connect to it. For movies, the sound very clear (I would sometimes have difficulty understanding the dialogue on the Bose). The most impressive sound feature is the BASS. I've had very good stereo systems (Marantz/Denon) paired with Kenwood speakers, but I've never heard base from system quite like this. For music, this system sounds good at lower volumes but really comes alive when set to about 40. For movies, the bass appropriately adds volume to action scenes without interfering with the entire movie (I keep the bass setting at 2 mostly). The system has quick settings for Auto, Movie, TV, Music, and Night (no bass) that appropriately adjust the overall sound. Playing Spotify via bluetooth is a breeze and used often.

Couldnt be any happier, I was sipoosed to spend over 3k on a klipsch sound system but this Polk audio system really made me save a lot. Its really worth the price and I love that it has Bass and Treble controls. My living room now sounds like a movie theather and I can keep going and going about how great this polk audio system is. I really recommend it and you wknt regret buying and spending the 799 dollars.

I’ve been really impressed with this bar so far. I moved to a house with a much different layout and needed to give up my 5.1 system. While this obviously isn’t the same, this system decodes Dolby Digital and DTS signals well, and sound great. The wireless sub paired up easily and has stayed connected with no issues since day one. I control the soundbar using an ARC out from my TV and the connection has been seamless with no issues. It also has the ability to connect to a wireless network, and works well with Google Cast/AirPlay streaming and can be controlled via the Google Home app as well. It helps even more that the bar is pretty slim so it doesn’t take up a ton of space like some of the taller ones from other companies.

I had an LG soundbar that died after 3-4 years, and I decided it was time to upgrade and get something much better. I went in and purchased the Samsung HW-Q800B. I drove home thinking that it will be great for the amount of $$ i dropped on it. I tried so hard to like it but it just wasn't for me. After a week, i took it back and checked out this Polk Magnifi Max. Despite the salesman trying to steer me away, I just knew from the thumping bass and clear crisp audio that I found what i was looking for. Don't get me wrong, Samsung sounded good for surround sound. AND THAT'S IT!!! The Polk sounds awesome regardless if it's a movie, streaming service, or music via Bluetooth. I actually spent less and I never regretted it. You can also add on the surrounds or buy the same setup with them included.

I’ve been watching and waiting to purchase this soundbar package for a while and finally got it! The sound is so crisp and I love the way you can adjust the voice audio! There are so many settings to adjust to the way you want to hear what you’re watching. Then they also have a auto adjust setting if you want it to auto adjust depending on what you’re watching. The only down side is that sometimes when I turn on the tv the sound does not go on automatically. So I have to turn it off and then back on for it to kick in. Not sure why that is. Other than that it works great and was extremely easy to set up.

This sound bar was easy to set up, and is great to listen too, especially while watching movies, the sub woofer is out standing.

I got this to put in my semi truck. It took a little bit of jery rigging to rig it up, but it was worth it! I can actually hear music and audio books over the noise of a semi truck without having to use headphones. I have the older model in my room for movies... I might have to put this one in my room. (Movirs and shows in my Semi are AWESOME with this sound bar and sub.!)

This was our second or third sound bar. Has great sound and the added capability of adding another speaker or sub is awesome. Super easy to set up and use. And the blue tooth capability is fantastic

Bought the jbl 500 first, had good bass but overall sound lacked . Brought that back and got this! After some fine tuning the sounds and levels it rocks! Then i could tell it was lacking true surround so i ordered the SR2 surround speakers now it totally rocks! Great choice. Loud , great bass, clarity and crisp. Very happy and even better when on sale!

After a long week i decided to go with Polk and wow!! It was worth the wait. I was undecided to go for LG or Samsung dolby atmos sound bars and it took me time to choose the right one for me. The price was better than other high end that cost as twice as this one. I made a good decision to get Polk and its amazing. Sound is amazing and the bass wow its the best bass sound. I would highly recommend this brand to anyone.

Outstanding sound and clarity. Voice increase works great while watching action pictures with loud background noise. Subwoofer paired as soon as I powered it up. The entire set up was a breeze. I had to turn down the subwoofer to 3(max is 6). It was vibrating the floor and rattling the windows at 6. I tried a High End Soundbar the same manufacture as my QD OLED TV. Returned it in less than a week. Overpriced underachiever. Did some more research and this Polk System was rated excellent or outstanding by numerous sites. Listened to this soundbar at the local Best Buy. Purchased it the next day. I highly recommend this Polk Soundbar. The Dolby Atmos works flawlessly. If you're a videophile who demands crystal clear sound and Bass that blows your hair back, buy it.

Another great product from Polk! The dialogue sound is very clear even with the booming sound of the powerful Sub. I have always liked Polk subs and this one did not disappoint. I could only raise the volume to about 55 before it became too loud for me. Lots of fun! One issue that may arise is that the soundbar is tall and if your tv has a remote sensor located at the bottom of the tv, it may block the signal from the remote. Besides this, the sound is great!

Nice Sound Bar and woofer. The voices are clear and good bass. I would recommend this to any one that is in the market for a sound bar with a Sub. I have this in a master bedroom and it fills it nicely.

Love it and sounds amazing. One thing I love about it is the remote app on the phone that allows you to control the treble, mids and your bass like a car system. Was really shocked and impressed with the power of the sub

Does a good job in our 20 x 20 family room. Easy to use and automatically connects to the TV when you turn it on. I only wish it would play music files from a USB stick in addition to the bluetooth connection.
