The sound bar, wireless subwoofer, and wireless surround speakers do their job well. Polk's voice adjust controls are just what's needed with many of these streaming services and their muddled conversations.

We love watching movies it feels like the movie theater. If you don’t enjoy listening to loud music don’t get it

The soundbar is perfect along with the 10" bass, definitely hear a lot of boom. Didn't give it a 5 because I'm not sure about the surround speakers. Sound low like they are hardly playing, but I do hear faint noises when I'm listening to a movie. Thought I heard popping from one speaker, but could be interference when streaming movies. Which they came with speaker stands. Will monitor to see if it is an issue, but would recommend to purchase

TV was acting up and we had a hard time hearing dialogue with the old soundbar. My main focus with selecting a soundbar is for dialogue boost for movies. I don't like reading subtitles. I purchased a new LG 55 inch OLED and paired it with an LG 5.1.2 Atmos soundbar. I was unpleasantly surprised that dialogue was almost the same as my 5 year old soundbar. So I returned the soundbar and deciding to bite the bullet and spend more to get better dialogue. I decided to purchase the Polk MagniFi Max AX SR with surround rear speakers. This was significantly more than the LG that I returned. I excitedly hooked everything up and plugged it in to the HDMI (E-ARC) on the TV. I turned on Avengers Infinity war and watched the opening scene. That's my test. If I could hear the "We are under assault" dialogue clearly, then i'm good. Well, I was disappointed. I turned the Voice setting all the way to Max and the dialogue was maybe just a little better than the LG that I returned. I tried to research the interweb because maybe i set it up wrong, but I get the same result. I'm confused because everybody boasts about the dialogue handling of this soundbar. Am I missing something? I just want to hear dialogue over the sound effects, just like the movies. I REALLY wanted to like this soundbar. I decided to keep it anyway since I really don't like returning stuff. I might get blacklisted from BestBuy. The Bass is better, but I have to turn the volume up to feel it. For the price I thought I'd get almost movie theatre sound, not quite. I guess i'll just upgrade next time to an amplifier. For now, i just set the sound mode to All Stereo so at least I can hear the dialogue from the rear speakers. I still need to turn on the subtitles though.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Little difficult to setup as there isn’t a menu screen nor it doesn’t have digital display for personalized settings as volume bass etc. only issue I have is the smaller back speakers only plays background noise and special effects only sound bar only puts out most of the sound. If it had a display for the settings I would give it 5 stars for ease to use and the setup will be lot easier. Connecting the speakers to the system is easy as touching a button and making sure the light on each speaker turns green

Posted .Hello, thank you for this feedback. This helps us further continue to improve our products. The reason for the rear speakers only outputting effects and background noise is based on how the film or show is mixed. Usually the rear channels are only used for those types of noises for surround sound. You can use All Stereo Mode under the Sound button to hear all the speakers in stereo mode if you choose. This will output the front left and right to the rear speakers to full surround you in stereo sound but you will lose the surround sound effect that was intended by the source material.

It sounds great the base rattles the house. It sounds great when u listen to music through Bluetooth or watching movies on Netflix!and it was very easy to hook up!

Connectivity options and features are all good as well, remote is a little laggy, but that's whatever. If you're looking at this price point, you're probably waiting something better than a basic soundbar that has wireless surround sound. The wireless surround is a nice to have, but if that's whats making this a few hundred more than other systems, you can do without it. If you really want surround sound, buy a real system. If you really want a soundbar, look at cheaper options because there really isn't much in this one over something a few hundred less.

3. For increased Bass performance, relocate the wireless subwoofer to a corner. Corner placement will typically result in improved Bass performance.
