Don't buy this for a living room setup, the sound isn't that big at all. It should really only be used in a very small living room or bedroom.

Sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with the soundbar. The Polk Audio MagniFi Mini AX is best when placed in a medium to small room. For large rooms, please consider the MagniFi Max AX soundbar. PolkAudioMarketing

Hello, and thank you for your purchase. The soundbar communicates with the wireless subwoofer via RF. Other nearby devices, including wireless routers, can create communication errors. Had to return after a day, makes a popping noise a s the subwoofer can’t stay connected. I thought it was just that one but I’ve had 3 of the same brand and they all do the same thing. Sounds good if it could work properly.

Hello, sorry to hear of your frustrations. If three different units have presented the same issue, perhaps another device near the soundbar may be causing the interruption. The Soundbar and Wireless subwoofer communicate using RF. A nearby router or device emitting RF signals can cause interference, which would cause the wireless subwoofer to pop. I bought this sound bar to replace my older Vizio unit. After setup I found the sound quality of this model to be rather poor. There is a lack of highs and the bass turned down to its lowest level is still overpowering. The old Vizio sound bar this was going to replace was leaps and bounds better in sound quality and adjustability so sadly I will be returning this unit.

We ended up returning it. We didn’t notice a measurable difference in sound quality with this soundbar. And for whatever reason, every time we turned on the television it didn’t go right to show, but rather went through the whole powering up process as if we turned the TV on for the first time. When we disconnected the sound bar this stopped.

I had the first generation of this speaker sub combo for some years. The original one speaker started going out. It is in my experience soundbars typically break or deteriorate after 5-7 years. This combo with Dolby Atmos didn't feel like much of a sound upgrade, but I love the ability to turn up the voices independently from the overall sound and it works. I got on big sale which has a lot to do with the 4/5 star review. If purchased at full price, would rate 3/5

There are a lot of connection options, but even hdmi cannot make these sound good. Music sounds hollow and muffled. Movies sound a little better but still not good. I didnt expect the dolby atmos to be powerful, but it was almost non-existent. For $500, you could buy amazing bookshelf speakers with 10x better audio quality.

Sorry to learn that you are not completely satisfied with the Soundbar. Based on what I have read from your review, the setup may not be completed. Be sure to activate the Digital Audio out features on all connected sources. Atmos is not an audio feature found in all content. To get the most out of Dolby Atmos, be sure that the app and content can provide an Atmos signal. Speaker drivers also require a bit of break-in. The soundbar will open up, providing better sound quality after a few hours of playback. For further assistance, please reach out to our customer support team. I am confident we can help improve your system. We look forward to hearing from you. PolkAudioMarketing

I was told by two different customer service reps misinformation. One service rep told me I could connect more than two speakers which you cannot, and I did not find out until after I made the purchase and the rep told me the pair of speakers were included with the subwoofer which they also were not. Ignorant staff and the product itself is not all that great!

Started off just fine, but only for a 2 months. Now once it seems to warm up about every 5 to 10 seconds the sounds goes away for about a second or 2 and comes back very aggravating. I haven't even had this system a year yet so I just disconnected it and now I listen to the sound from my tv!!! I do remember when Polk Audio was a great product. Its not the first time I've owned Polk Audio.

While this unit comes off as something you would want to put in a spare room, the sound can match up with the task of being on your main screen. This little mini packs a kick! Not sure how they do, but I guess that's why they've gained their reputation in sound. My wife is a fan from the form factor alone. Our soundbars have all been so long and/or clunky. To see the sleek profile of this mini sitting under the TV adds aesthetic that she prefers, and when I turn on the content, the sound that I desire. My music, movies and games are so immersive in 3D mode. This speaker physically lacks the up firing speakers, but from the way it handles the Atmos content, you'd never tell. The vocals are clean and are layered perfectly with the music of any soundtrack. The voice leveling is so detailed I can cutoff the subtitles. Once again, not sure how they do it, but it definitely works. From my youth, one thing Polk always had was the bass, and this woofer knocks! The best way to describe it is a "smooth" bass. Not too overpowering or overtly noticeable, but just the perfect blend of low frequency to sneak in on whatever you're watching/listening to. With it's slim form factor, it can easily fit in places the boxier subs can't with a much smaller footprint. The controls are very responsive and the display on the soundbar is bright and very easy to read. I had no issues connecting to BT and Google Home, and it's a great addition to the myriad of speakers intertwined throughout my home. So, in summation, this may seem like it's a second rate soundbar by the "mini" size and title, but it's really not. It's capable of just about any set-up you throw at it. Later down the line, I may add the surrounds, but at this point, they aren't necessary for great, immersive sound. Very impressed.

Hello, we are sorry to learn of your experience. Let me add some troubleshooting tips that may help elevate your experience. Confirm that Digital Audio Out is activated in the Televisions settings. Also, try relocating the wireless subwoofer to a nearby corner of the room. Corner placement will typically result in greater output. If you require assistance, please get in touch with Polk Support by visiting https://support.polkaudio.com/. PolkAudioMarketing

I bought it open box excellent, I couldn’t even try it because the power cords were missing. Both of them. Could I have gotten my own cords, yes. Should I have to, no. This is my second issue with open box items. The other item was a Apple product that was still registered to another user. Other than those 2 issues I haven’t had problems buying open box from Best Buy.

    Excellent Sound for the Masses

This seems like a simple setup. You run your power and HDMI signal and the center speaker wirelessly connects to the sub. That's it. I guess my TV did not have an ARC HDMI as I could not get the included HDMI cable to play sound. I ended up using the optical out option and had to use my own optical cable. I think that an optical cable should have been included in the kit but it is not. I really appreciate the simplicity of this sound bar though. Setup also requires you to use either Apple or Google Home app to connect the system to your homes WIFI. This is for updates. The sound is a bit muffled for my taste but I was able to adjust it to make the highs punch through enough. I've heard better and I've heard much worse. At super-high movie theater volume you can really hear the compression Polk used to try to push the bass and mid levels but the speakers have this excellent trick up their sleeve to assist the highs and mid levels: You can adjust the volume of the actors voices on the remote! I have never seen that feature before and it works very well. The overall sound has 4 preset EQs: Movie, 3D, Night, and Music. There is no user accessible EQ that I have found so you will need to settle for one of the 4 sound settings. I got mixed results but Movie seems work best for me overall. Build quality is terrific. The remote has a nice premium rubber surface as well as the center channel speaker. The center channel has a cloth covered grill and you view the current settings through the cloth grill. The sub is small but the sound is just enough to satisfy.
