Ordered the Polk Audio Omni S2 Rechargeable during the in store purchase of my new Samsung UHD 4K 65" Curved TV and the Polk Audio Omni S2 Rechargeable speaker was shipped to me because it was not in stock at the store. When I received it, I noticed that the box had seemed open and tossed around or stored in an attic or closet for some time. Didn't think anything else of it because I was excited to receive the speaker. Took the speaker out, inspected it and my gut feeling was that it had been used. Although it was wrapped in what seemed to be the original packaging. Took the Polk Omni S2R speaker out, I read the set up guide and followed all instructions. Had a little bit of trouble connecting, but was able to connect successfully and start playing music. When the music started playing I was not impressed, was actually sad at the sound that came from and immediately confirmed my guys suspicion that this speaker had been previously used due to the sound coming out of it. It was so muffled and with extreme bass. As if there were no highs .. the louder I got the better it sounded but I thought back to when I was in store listening to the identical speaker I heard at the store. I compared that sound with the one I just received which was playing and it was not the same or even close at all. Called Best Buy customer service and the rep immediately sent me out another one next day. That was today and I am waiting for it to arrive and hopefully I get a different outcome. Will keep you all posted once it arrives. customer service was great and sent me a return label to ship back the other one. For now, gave the speaker 2.5 stars (3 stars because I only had an option of full starts and no half) for connecting via wifi and also via Bluetooth to both my phone and tv speaker.

This is a great speaker! Much better than Sonos, since you can add other brands of speakers that run on the DTS play-fi network. Easy to set up and works great out in my back yard. Built in Range Extender and 10 hour battery life, but I got almost 12 hours out of it my last BBQ. The whole polk wireless system is great. I now own this, 3 of the regular S2s and the SB1 sound bar. Audio quality is great on all.

This speaker really has some loud sound, its pairs nicely with my soundbar but dislike that i cannot pair it along with my other Polk and create a surround sound when watching a movie. Also the instructions it comes with are not very clear, I had to call Polk directly to figure out how to turn on and off the device.

Nice strong sound for such a small package. If you are tech savvy this will be easy to install and synchronize with your smart phone or tablet. I like the portability. Took one outside with me while I was grilling.

I am very pleased with the ease of use and the sound quality. I am looking forward to buying more to go in every room.

Great speaker, with a good range. Make sure you get the one with a bluetooth dongle (the original pacaging did not include it but Polk sent over when i called them without a problem). Battery life is also good and works great on the patio.

This speaker has a great full sound, very good base. It comes with a bluetooth adapter for easy connection in addition to through the Polk Omni app. The rechargeable feature is great to take anywhere. I'm enjoying this speaker.

The sound is fantastic as you would expect from polk. However there is no true on/off. The off is the battery runs out and the on is when you plug it back in.

We love the portability and sound of this speaker. We got it on special of buy two get a free Omni S2 deal and chose this as one of our two. Much cheaper than Sonos but still get the same capability.

This little speaker has very good sound, but the play-fi app is not very good as many have stated. I hope they fix the app, because the speaker is worth it.

On the good side, the sound quality was very good. On the down side, the speaker would not hold a charge and would drop the connection constantly. For the money spent, there are better options on the market. I returned it and replaced with a different model from a different manufacturer. Too bad because I've had very good luck with Polk speakers and headphones in the past.

Purchased 3 of these to use outside in pool area. WIFI range is pretty decent and sound is excellent!

First, don't let the small size fool you. This speaker puts out great big sound with a small footprint! Fairly easy to set up, and once that's done, you can just open the app (I have an iPhone 6s) and you can play your music or internet radio all day! My only complaint is that if your wifi isn't too good of a connection, the speaker goes into setup mode when you open the app.

I love the sound quality of this speaker but could only give it three stars because I had a frustrating time getting it to sync with my phone And the answer your service techs gave was no help at all. Also Goggle play doesn't work with your system, almost took it back because of that.

This should come with built in Bluetooth. I don't like the playfi software. You probably won't either. The speaker sounds amazing but it took hours to set up. It kept saying it needed updates but it wasn't downloading them. Everything is through the playfi app.

I get good sound out of these speakers. I've had some issues pairing them up for stereo sound. It worked at first but then it stopped. But I don't use them together in the same room that much anyway. Good bass tones.

Great for the casual listener. Decent battery life.

cant change frequency levels needs software update I wouldnt recomend until they change above

We decided to make the whole home audio investment with DTS Play-Fi after considerable research. I like the fact that you can mix and match Play-Fi equipment from different manufactures. This unit has great sound and really like the battery operation. I can take it outside or move around the house with ease. It was recently announced that DTS Play-Fi will be integrating with Amazon Echo in Q1 2017. Again, great sound. Setup was pretty easy. App needs work.

This is a great alternative to wiring speakers and taking up room with a receiver. Overall, much more versatile and the speaker has very good sound quality.
