Excellent speaker for the money. Sound quality surpassed my expectations. Good size for mounting below the eaves of your house. Look great and build quality seems excellent. If you're in the sub-$200 price point for outdoor speakers, these are probably the best out there. Power these with at least a 200W amp and run properly sized speaker wire (usually 16AWG copper or larger) to get the full power and sound quality. Enjoy!

My son bought these to mount onto our deck by the pool. They are hooked up to an old Denon AVR receiver. They sound great and can easily swivel left and right by hand. The speakers have a nice sound and are plenty load for our backyard.

The staff at the Salisbury store were friendly and knowledgable about the products. They ordered the other 2 speakers that were not in stock and they arrived at our home in a few days. The speakers are small lightweight and easy to install. They sound great and fit nicely underneath our roof eave/overhang. We are extremely pleased!

I was concerned that these wouldn’t be loud enough for my backyard but they are great. I was able to snag them on sale, which makes me even happier with my purchase. I thought I would need four but two is more than enough.

Got these to replace a pair of 18 yr old Infinity patio speakers that were pretty good. These Polk speakers are pretty good, too. I had also replaced another pair of speakers in a different part of the patio. I shopped around, and picked them based on specs. The Polks sound 90%+ as good for half the price. On mids and highs, they are slightly better. The specs made me wonder about bass, but when you crank them up it's all there. These Polks are pretty great patio speakers, especially for the money.

Have purchased several Polk products over the past 30 years or so and been pleased with their performance. This is my first purchase of an "outdoor" product, installed beneath roof-line of our barn to provide sound to an area where we regularly gather for libations and have bonfires. I am happy with ease of installation and quality of sound. They have been in place for about a month and seem to be holding up well to the elements.

These pair of speakers have a good crisp sound to them. They are a little weak on the bass but very good mid and hi notes. Sound image is very nicely separated when used in stereo. Currently driving them with a Sonos Amp that provides 55 watts per channel and once raised over 50% you can really hear these in the yard. I wouldn't expect much listening to bass heavy music. All natural drum sounds are great, even the kicks are good. Some bass guitar sounds are fine, just not the heavily produced, unnatural stuff, it can't quite deliver that oomph. If you plan on pairing them with a crossover and subwoofer then jump right into, these won't disappoint. Granted they haven't seen winter yet, so I'll wait and see how that goes.

This is my 2nd set. I sold my last home and the new owner wanted to keep them so I left them. Just seen them on sale and now putting another set on my new home on the back patio. You cant beat the sound and definetely cant beat the price.

i got these about 2 weeks and frankly did not have very high expectations because of the price and size of the speakers. i found them very easy to install (on the outside of my shed) and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sound. i connected them to an older yahama receiver i put in the shed and the sound is very good. maybe not as good as my home theater but for about $100, quite good. they have been out there for a few weeks now, lots of rain and no problems. i'll probably bring them and the receiver in the house to protect them from the weather, not expecting to be outside all that much once it gets cold.

My outdoor KLH was sounding blown (or was I just ready for a change?). I have just purchased a hybrid tube-solid state integrated amp (Qinpu) and wanted to enjoy that lush tube sound. I looked at Bose and Difinitive technology but didn't want to spend a lot on an outdoor speaker. I kept coming back to these. Long story short, I ordered an open box unit and installed them where the KLH hung. They're superb (for my outdoor needs). They're vertically mounted but I have a nagging feeling I might be able to squeeze a little more base out of these puppies if horizontally mounted and pointed down towards my seating/hammock area. I'm satisfied with the price and sound

Fantastic, originally got the atrium 4's and they didn't have it.. these however got that boom boom bass and get extremely loud and sound wonderful even when the decible levels are causing your ears to bleed. i also got these with a 10" polk sub that thing emits literal thunder strikes rumble rumbles i cant turn it up past half volume

These Patio speakers are, apparently, badge-engineered Atriums-- but they look and sound great, so who cares what they are? I have mine handling a 120W load and they have never distorted, even under full power. They look beautiful under my eaves and, unlike many other outdoor speakers, their built-in mounting solution instantly goes from wall mount, to ceiling mount, and back again. Having the easily rotated logo so its upright no matter what orientation you choose, is a thoughtful plus.

These really are nicely balanced sound wise and mount easily. They appear to be well made and should last a long time outdoors. These should be played for several hours before final judgement as they do break in which yields a very open natural response. Bass is a bit anemic but not at all bad for a 5 inch driver. I tried the Yamahas first but they have a real “boxy” sound from enclosure resonance. For a bit more money these are much more refined.

This is the 3rd pair of these speakers I install and own and in my experience I can say these are the way to go on outdoor speakers. They sound good, look good, are robust enough and don’t break the bank, all qualities that add value to something that seats outside under weather swings 24x7x365!
