I just wanted something for a small room that had clean sound and reasonably tight bass. I know a lot of cheaper soundbars have really bad subs. I hoped this would be better, since its Polk and not the cheapest offering. The soundbar itself is good. The subwoofer ruins it. If you are like me and hate muddy/boomy bass more than anything, look elsewhere. You can hear positional audio from the sub. You know exactly where the sound is coming from. Frequencies that shouldn't go to the subwoofer are going to it. It can't handle the frequencies that it should cleanly. It's a mess and is not good enough to pair with the quality of the actual soundbar.

Posted .Hello Josh, we are sorry to hear about your experience. The bass response of the subwoofer can be significantly affected by the placement and acoustics of the room. Placing the subwoofer in a corner can result in a deeper and more impactful bass reproduction. Additionally, placing the subwoofer closer to the soundbar will help blend the soundbar and subwoofer.
