Customers are saying

Customers express satisfaction with the Voyager 5220's sound quality, comfort, battery life, and Bluetooth connectivity, frequently praising its lightweight design and range. However, some customers reported issues with the fit, occasional connection problems, and a perception that the volume could be improved. A few also felt the price was somewhat high. Overall, positive feedback on sound and comfort outweighs concerns about fit and connectivity.

The good, no one can tell I am talking on a head set. Hanging on the top of the ear is very comfortable compared to the in the ear style long battery life.. The poor: not loud enough. The ear bud sits too far away from the ear canal. Noise cancelling OK for in car and light breeze, no good for diesel truck with window down.

Its a good headset, very comfortably, but the headset only charge up to 6 hours not 7 like displayed, an issue that should be fixed. Lol the hot fix they applyed was to set the headset to say headset charge high and anything lower than that 6 hrs or less. (I guess thats the illusion of the software fix to cut cost of the product and no question asked, returned, or mass product hot fix). Second problem was the range of the headset, i think it only gets to 30 meters and it should be extended farther than that i think. (Maybe 50 meters is best) Last problem was the headset max volume, me personally it should be louder, i mean i might have a little hearing lost from Iraq and Afghanistan but its no excuse for the low volume. They should increase the volume and have the device prompt the consumer of the very high risk of listening to volume that high. Other than that unless these problems are resolved the product will remain a good headset with four stars instead of 5 five stars for excellent from me.

i have on a lot of bluthoot devices like jaw bone samsung and so on let me tell you thats it is one of the best that i have ever used so far it has giving me no problem with it it's charge is really fast it last a long time after you charge it it takes about an hour and after it charge you can use it for about several hours none stop and when it's not in use it's a long stand by too now the range for this one is not as long as the jaw bone but it's sound quality is just as good as the jaw bone or better it also is better when it comes to sweat it don't stop working like jawbone if you sweat with the jawbone on and go out in the cold the moister on the jawbone will freeze up in the little holes on the ear peace in stop it from working but not the plantronics it can stand more cold than the jawbone and it last longer than the jawbone i went though so many jawbones before i bought this one and i have no issues with it like i did with the jawbone the only differences is the jawbone has a little longer range thats it this is better that the jawbone and if you change phones you won't need to buy a new one it will work with your new phone . but it is not the same when i had jawbone when ever i got a new phone i had to get a new jawbone so bottom line you will love this one over almost any other

I bought this headset in desperation. I wanted my old unit back, but after it was destroyed, that wasn't a possibility. I tried a couple of other units, but was disappointed. I read reviews on a unit in this series, but not the same unit. Reviews said it was good. I've never liked the idea of the over-the-ear wearing style and couldn't fathom being able to tolerate it. I decided to give it a try, though, knowing I could return it if I didn't like it. I have been seriously impressed by the unit. It is amazingly comfortable to wear. I actually forget it is there much of the time. Yet, it fits securely. It's never shaken loose or fallen out. I have knocked it out or loose a couple of times - generally when I forgot it was there and bumped it with my hand. The sound quality is very good and battery life is as well. I have the charging case with it and I just never have to be concerned about the available talk time. I am very happy with my purchase.

Goods: 1-light weight, even though it's bigger and bulky it feels lighter than the other smaller models. 2-excellent sound and noice cancelation. 3-it has voice commands that open "S voice" and "ok google" from Blue tooth. 4-You can not even feel the Bluetooth on your ear and it doesn't generate pressure in your ear so it's very confortable since day one. Bads:Bluetooth has a lot of features that are useless in my ear shape because the option of a sensor that mutes a video when you are watching something on your phone keeps turning off and on because it doesn't make a good contact to my ear this is why you need to have the right ear for this Bluetooth. 2-When pair it with two devices like cellphone and vehicle bluetooth it keeps changing to vehicles signal first and when change signal to ear bluetooth it keeps changing to be hitless signal this problem never happened with cheaper bluetooth headsets.

    Best noise cancellation I've found

I needed a headset that was good at noise cancellation since I work on a towboat and the engine roar can be heard at all times no matter where I'm at. I had a Jawbone Icon with the noise assassin but my wife could still hear the roar, I used it for 6 years before it quit, I then bought an el cheapo that had good reviews but my wife said the roar was too loud so I ditched it after a month.. My Captain had the Voyager 5200 and he recommended it so I decided to bite the bullet and get the 5220. My wife now says that she doesn't hear anything but me talking unless I'm outside and the wind is blowing 10 mph or above. The Captain ended up washing his so I gave him mine that I only had for a month and he said the quality was definitely better than the 5200 that he had, I now have another one. I wish it had come with a case. It's pretty comfortable to wear, the talk time is 7 hours, shows the battery life on my Galaxy S4 and it has some pretty cool features that can be used with the Plantronics app. I will purchase again unless this one fails quickly.

Love it! It can sit behind either ear, and is very comfortable. Sounds good (I don't think anything will sound as good as regular earbuds or headphones -- but it's not tinny or muffled) and I love that I can wear it all day without noticing. It announces incoming calls (by name, if it's from someone in my contact list), and I can either answer or ignore it just by saying "answer" or "ignore". I can put your phone in my pocket and answer it handsfree while driving or walking my dogs. Yes, there are cheaper ear pieces (and I've had a few), but the Voyager 5220 has them beat for comfort and voice control.

This earpiece is simply the best blend of comfort, quality and functionality at any price. Excellent voice quality, battery life and customer service. The spoken caller ID makes your phone truly hands-free and the features offered by the PLT Hub app allows you to adjust over 15 advanced features not found in the competition, by simply tapping check boxes. It also includes an awe-inspiring GPS locator should you misplace the headset. The features and pluses of this outstanding piece are too numerous to mention. Get one and prepare to be amazed. I've tried every major brand of Bluetooth headset in the last 15 years, but I keep coming back to Plantronics products. If you're serious about making calls for business (or pleasure) then the Voyager 5220 is absolutely the headset for you.

Still one of the best bluetooth headsets on the market today. I lost my previous version after about 3 years and got the newer version and it is still a great headset and now has the Alexa feature, which is nice when you are multitasking and want to search something without using your phone. I still think the best feature is how well it blocks out external noises and wind. It will make it through a long day of calls on a single charge too. I have the charging case too which is a must for travel so you can keep it protected in your backpack or purse and also give it an extra charge or two without have to find power.

I have tried many, many wireless headsets over the years, and could never find one that could do it all...until I got my first Voyager 5200. Crystal clear audio and mic, coupled with amazing battery life and noise cancelling, this durable and comfortable (compared to my previous Voyager models) little headset has become the only headset that’s I use. It gets even better: you can grab the charging case for ease of transit, extra battery life, and convenient charging. Still gets better: you can grab the USB dongle for Universal Compatibility so that this headset can be used with Lync/Skype, and a long list of other PC communication software. The headset is so good, that I ended up purchasing 3 more 5220s (BestBuy’s model, essentially the same as 5200) plus charging cases. TL;DR: if you need a headset for your mobile, this is the perfect solution. It even works for your computer (needs UC USB BT dongle).

Very top of the crop as far as bluetooth headsets go. Comfortable on the ear, great sound, Alexa added functionality and Google, too. I have only had this headset for the last 4 years, have tried several others, a Jabra and Blueparrot and they don't come close, plus the bp was too massive for the face in daily use. Zero complaints w this plantronics unit. Good battery life, cuts outside noise too (noise cancelling). I really can't say enough good about this unit, worth the money, save up if you don't have it, you won't be sorry and you won't go back to other brands after this one. This latest was an exchange, my old unit wore out, so don't let Dec 4 fool you, I've had this on my ear for years now.

If you work in a noisy environment with lots of background noise, do the people you talk to a favor and get one of these! After 15+ years over the road and working around heavy machinery I have used most of the "best bluetooth headsets" that everyone else uses and I can tell you this one is absolutely my favorite! I can't stand the big one ear headphone with a boom Mic style headsets that EVERY truck driver uses. They sound really great but look terrible. Especially when your not in the Truck! This headsets sound quality is on par with those but in a small, compact size that easily slips into a pocket. Battery life is amazing. The only con I have is the volume. While acceptable, it's on the lower side and I find myself pushing the ear bud into my ear frequently while talking to soft spoken people. Other than that it's great!

I bought one of these a while back. For some reason it would not work well, and everyone was telling me there was lots of noise in the background. I returned it and bought something else. The other one was just okay. I decided to give it another go after a while, and my other headset broke. This one is flawless so far. I have used it in both vehicles and while walking around and nobody has any problem hearing me. Voice dialing and commands are very quickly responded to. Caller sounds very clear on my end as well. Charges quick and lasts several days, based on a couple or 3 calls per day. Like others, very comfortable. Not painful at all to wear. Looks like this one is a keeper at this time. If anything goes wrong, will update.

The 5220 combines the higher fidelity of the Voyager Edge with the battery and fit of the Legend. It is a nearly perfect combination, but continues to have the occasional sensor issues present in every Plantronics headset I've owned. Specifically, these headsets will occasionally switch audio back to the phone, which is irritating but infrequent (alternatively one can simply disable the sensor features, which tends to be my preference). Good range, great sound quality. A final minor annoyance is that, while comfortable, The 5220 is just slightly smaller and more rigid than the Legend, making it marginally less comfortable than its predecessor.

Like the summery said Best day to day bluetooth. I have owned jawbone, blue parrot, among others. This is the one with the longest batterie life, best wind/noise cancelling capabilities, the best sound quality, and the best comfort and balance for all day everyday use. The only complaint I have is when I get working or start to sweat. The sweat gets in-between the skin and the sensors for the auto on/standby function causing it to go in and out of standby. The only way to get it to function properly is to take it off and dry both it and my head off. I even gave one to a family member as a christmas gift.
